8 years and still helping people. Cant believe it was the same issue on my frigidaire dryer. Thank you soooooo much. I was quoted 350-450 to fix it and wasnt guaranteed it would resolve it. Paid $25 for the part and that was it.
Only video that I had found to show me there was a thermal switch on the lint tube. Everybody else just stops with heating element thermal switch. Fixed my dryer. Thanks much
I to have the same dryer with a problem. I had a warranty on it and they sent someone out to fix it once already. But now that it is out of warranty. It falls to me to fix it. This video is very helpful as I did not relize how simple trouble shooting it could be. And easy to take apart. I have been fixing Harleys for 10 years. But now am finding my talents useful around the house. Thanks again.
Wanting to give a big Thank You for this video Robert. You helped two very novice fixer uppers save a small fortune. We were able to follow your video and fix our own drier. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for adding this awesome video for the world to see how to repair things when they go bad. Times are getting tough and there’s no money for a repair man so it’s time we do things ourselves and you made it so easy. Thank you a million.
Thank-you Robert. I had the same problem several years ago, and I'm pretty sure that I came to this same video to figure it out. This refreshed my memory about exactly what I did last time to fix it. So you helped me a lot...TWICE!
Hi Robert. Well I’m back to your video again lol. Switch replaced a 2nd time after the last replacement worked for a little over 5 years. Thanks again for the great video! Switched replaced and the dryer is working again.
You are the man! Followed your directions exactly and it worked great. Didn’t have a meter to check current but just replaced the sensor you mentioned and the dryer is back up and running. Much appreciated!
Just want to say great details in the video on the work being done. My dumb tail spent $400 on a new washer, but Im starting to learn from you guys in DIY. Thanks
Thanks for this awesome repair video, Robert! We have a gas dryer that would have been a few hundred dollars to have a repairman come out to fix. Thanks again for saving us the money!
Dude, very helpful, on the money with all your descriptions. I have a FASG7073LR0 that's approx. 4 years old and had this problem twice now. 1st change I paid someone to fix it, this time I spent the time and learned and fixed myself. $19.02 for the same thermal switch that you changed, a few hours of my time and shazam, fixed. Oh, ya, my fault said E66 and below that showed "Heater". Thank you....
Thank you so much for doing this video and all of the tips in it. I ended up having to replace the thermal limiter closest to the back of the dryer, $20 replacement part and its now working again. Thanks again!
Great video, verbatim of what was wrong with my Frigidaire even though it was a different model. The door fault code threw me off at first but a quick test of the switch ruled that out. Thanks!
Thank you My dear Robert. I was seen this video and it was very usefull to me to understand a dryer machine. I am from venezuela. as you see in my country is happen dificult economic situation , we are in hyper inflation. And now is better learn DIY for fix our home appliance .
I have a newer model but this helped me understand whats wrong with it and how to get the error code. Mine(FASG7073LW0) has a larger display so it even says "THERMAL" after E66. Thanks for posting this video now I know where to begin.
Fixed it yesterday. Called the 800 number from the dryer(FRIGIDAIRE) and selected parts menu and that gave me the closest store near my zip. Followed onto their website and found all "thermal" parts there: www.appliancepartspros.com/parts-for-frigidaire-fasg7073lw0.html Got both the thermal limiter and the thermostat, high limit parts for about $33. Unscrewed the top panel then the whole back "metal cover" panel(unplug power wire assembly). Looking at the back of the dryer, I took off all the screws that held the right side panel to the back of the dryer and while the dryer was tilted with the right side in the air i unhinged downward the right panel(still looking at the back orientation) to then open it up like a door thats hinged in the front of the dryer. That allowed me to access both parts on the burner that I needed to replace. There is a small dent on the parts that indicates the right orientation of them that I made sure to remember what the original was before I disconnected the wires. Thanks, again for your video.
I replaced the 'Inlet Thermal Limiter' which was found 'open'. Thoroughly Cleaned out the air way. The dryer started working and then the same E66 came back again after a few runs.
I had that same problem with my dryer a couple weeks ago. cost $235 to fix. the reason it blew out is because the dryer vent was clogged, so we had to call somebody else afterwards to come out and clean out the dryer vent. now it's finally fixed. if you didn't already clean out the dryer vent, make sure you do that too. it has to be completely cleaned out. we used to fish our central vacuum down which would go not even half way into the vent and that just didn't cut it in our case.
Well done, another pile of money saved :-)) I have one of those cheap digital meters, the ones on ebay dt830b or 830b, the little yellow types, not bad for the price :-)) The only fault on tumble dryers i had was a motor that just sat there buzzing, it could hardly turn the drum, the start capacitor was toast :-))
Hello Robert, I currently own this same model dryer. It continuously beeps on its own when it’s not running and then when it does run, it shuts off on its own after about 15 seconds. From what I’ve read online, the issue seems to be the control panel. Is there any other troubleshooting tips I should follow before I purchase a new control board? Thank you for your time. Keep up the great work. Jake
I have this code on the same dryer, but it's not consistent. I'd love your opinion on it. When my dryer is empty or has very little clothes in it, the dryer works normally. When I put a normal wet load in, I get the e66 error. Immediately after the error code the dryer won't start and the light inside the drum is unresponsive to the sensor, most likely because there's an open circuit. After I let it cool down though, I'm able to start the dryer again (not that it helps because this problems continues). All thermal limiters, thermostat, and all associated wires passed continuity tests. I also cleaned out the entire dryer vent path from the lint screen to outside the house. I ordered a new exhaust thermal limiter just in case my fuse is continuous under no load, but fails under load. Outside of changing the two thermal limiters and the thermostat, the only other thing I can think about that would be wrong is the control board. What do you think? Am I missing another item to test?
Great video, it's guys (and gals) like you that make it possible for us little guys to save ton of money on repairs we can do ourselves! Quick question, I have a dryer just like yours that squeals like a crying dog -- my guess is that it has something to do with a bearing. Would you happen to have a video describing this fix? Thanks again for a great video!
Hey Robert just wanted to say nice job. My wife has this exact dryer and I got the same code. I found the schematic right inside after I took off the control panel. Haven't got the part yet cause store is closed til Monday. How did you find the part number?
i was given a this type of dryer.harness on the far right side that connects obviously is very well burnt crisp.would a new harness fix it and make it com back on,or is it too late to fix cause the mother board is fried as well or is because of a bad heating element or is there a short? its a nice dryer.i want to fix it right up.
Hi,its the same as our frigidaire dryer model but can I ask if you know how to change the time setting of the dryer? My dryer's setting that is supposed to be 60mins unfortunately been changed to 2hr15mins and I want to set it back to 60mins. Thank you in advance.
Hey there,. What do you recommend when the drum is not spinning.. Cannot seem to get a good picture on how the pulley is suppose to be.. Or could it be something else..
How's the dryer? I have same problem and just waiting for the fuse in the mail. I heard in another video that both fuses should be replaced if one fails.
good afternoon. My question is as follows, the four LEDs on the right flash and the dryer appears blocked. When I want to unlock the option button does not work I have to replace the board for that?
Good friend, you can help me set up a frigidaire afinity model fahe101mw washing machine. Need to know how to give him reinstatement. How to diagnose errors and identify them since I do not understand the manual beforehand thanks
Hi Sir, I just have installed my dryer (same as yours) but actually is not drying, it is just doing spin and spin and the air in the background is not hot, I did the gas connection well so I don't know what's happening, hope you can answer this
I can choose any of those options like normal, casual, etc.. and as I said it is just spinning and ten minutes before it finishes to do all the process it jusy start bipping and doing the same as yours but just ten minutes before finishing
I Have found a solution, it needed an adapter for the gas, my natural gas was sending so much pressure, so my dryer for self protection was not allowing gas to enter, I plugged a new gas adapter and it started working, thanks btw!

Carlos Lubiano If it is new, it has to still be under warranty. Other than that, you will have to have the machine give you the error code and Google it, then go from there.
I turn the nob 2 full terms counter clockwise and leave it where I believe I'm supposed to but can't get the error code. Anyone else experiencing the same issue? It'd be great to actually see that part recorded to know if I'm doing it correctly...
