I followed your instructions and it worked out perfectly. My dryer is humming along, without randomly beeping. Thank you. This saved me about $600.

Thanks for making this video. While your repair instructions were very good you also helped me decided that replacing the control board wasn't worth it especially since the motor is now making an awful loud humming noise. It served us okay for 15 years so who knows what goes next after this repair. Thanks--- well done video.

Where did you get your controller? Did you have to order or can I buy one somewhere today?

Exact same problem here. All of the wash sequence lights flashing on/off along with the beeper in a random way, while not interfering with washer operation.
I re-seated all of the connectors: Always a good idea with tin-plated connectors. Digging deeper, the PCB had some sort of visible contamination. Not sure if this was from PCB assembly (flux or cleaner) of something from the soap? I scrubbed it top and bottom with 70% isopropanol using a toothbrush, rinsed with hot water (nearly boiling), blew it out well with compressed air, and baked it a while at 200 F in the oven to ensure it was dry. No more flashing or beeping.

We have a Frigidaire dryer with a beeping problem. I am getting Sears to come and fix it, as I don't have the tools or the components to fix it myself. Hubby did clean it out at one point, he removed the entire lint "cage", cleaned it out, and it was fine for a while. (Mine won't beep as long as neither the "dryness setting" or the preset dryness are on. )

I hope Sears can fix it👍

@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance To get these (both machines) fixed would cost me far more than they are worth; I'll "run the wheels off of them" (no chance of fire there) and look around for new ones so I'll be ready when they actually die.

Loved your video on the ken more controller replacement. I used it to change one out. When I plug it all back in, however, not all lights come on (dryness lights as well as options select don’t seen to respond)otherwise the dryer seems to function as you would expect. There is possibly a very faint burning smell when it starts to run. The venting is straight into the laundry room right now.
I know this is a Hail Mary but you seem to know what you’re doing. Help?!

Leaving the Dryer Knob on the "Permanent Press" setting has stopped the beeping for me. Mine beeps if I leave it on "Normal" or on a different setting.

    Hi Nils,
    Great video, thank you!
When you found your replacement part, it came with that black piece where your old one was white, as you say it does not matter. As I am still trying to find the correct part for my dryer (same as yours), the board I am finding is that green board inside of that black/ white part sold alone ! Is that shell easy to open up to replace with the new green board? Thank you so much for your tine. J.

I would just buy the green board👍

@@nabilsharif3483 hi, I tried looking for my orders from ebay and Amazon but I am not sure why I can’t find it!
I will try searching over the weekend and will update you if I am lucky. I remember looking up the part number on the manufacturer’s website and contacted several sellers. If you have a photo of your part make sure to attach it to your message and most likely like for you will end up finding the correct part.

My Frigidaire dryer is the same model but push buttons on the front, and it is 10 yrs old. I'm disabled and can't afford to repair, is it still safe to use. Mine is doing the exact same periodically. Thanks so much for any insight you can share.

@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance yes annoying for sure. I left unplugged a cpl days and now for last 2 days using it no problems. Probably on borrowed time? Btw what's your opinion on those wool dryer balls, do you think them banging around causes any problems? I used a set of 3 few months ago and right after drum started sqeeking badly. It stopped after I stopped using them, coincidence?

Great Video! And this will solve my problem. One comment, it is a little frustrating that you never list the part number. I believe it is Electrolux 134557201. One question: is there any way to just disable the beeper?
