- At this moment in this washer the main problem is maintained control board not the motor, e56 error is high current to motor, but in this unit it is the main board. Also by holding start/pause and cancel at the same time with two fingers, will also show you the error code on this unit 😀

Thank you for posting, Hameed! I have a slightly different model, and it all the lights would come on, but nothing would happen. Unfortunately, I jumped to the conclusion that it was a bad door latch, so I switched it out, but that didn't change the problem. I finally looked into the code. Mine would do the exact same thing when performing diagnostic; immediately shut off and flash E56. Your video helped me conclude that it was the motor control board. I just put a new board in and the machine is working great! By the way, if anyone reading this is afraid to switch out board, I would say I am about a medium level handy man, and all I needed was a good youtube video on how to do it and some time to make sure I did the steps correctly.

Thank you so much! The diagnostic helped us determine what was wrong with the spin cycle. Turned out it’s not spinning because the door latch was bad. Replaced the latch and it’s working like new! Thanks again!!

Thank you Hameed, I didn't know that paper was in the top.. my washer will start then stop. I finally got it in diagnose mode & it gave me a error code.. might be time for a new washer 🥺

I performed test 9 and the motor was fine. I replaced the control board and it worked once on permanent press but stopped at 1 minute to the end, timer even stopped at 1 minute. Motor never ran during test. Now it does not work again. Won't start and diagnostic calls out E56 but I know the motor is ok?

My affinity does not do final spin cycle, it just skip over it what do you think it could be
Fang12 check your door switch and drain pump make sure they are working OK.
These 2 parts are the common parts, when it's not spinning properly or won't finish spin cycle,
@@hameedwafaAFG drain pump works i removed it and cleaned the tube and took apartt the pump and the impeller on it looks good and it sounds good, I was thinking the door latch myself, I buy my new home on the 26th and I am getting a new washer dryer set for free as a gift and was hoping I could make this last, was thinking about jump the door latch wires together and just sitting something in front of the door till then, I had to do it once before waiting for the new striker
Mine will wash but not spin. It will only spin on the spin cycle. It gets half way through a cycle with time left on it and just sit and hummm.
But when every supplier tells you it's discontinued, and no body has the part I need, then sadly, a new purchase is required at twice the price it was 12 yrs ago ! Need new control panel board.
Hameed is it standard assembly procedure to leave tech sheets on the top portion of Frigidaire front load washers? The model and serial number of my affinity front load washer is washed off likely because of bleach spilling onto the inside of the front door
Thinking Impaired every manufacturer has thier own location inside thier units, for example, Frigidaire front load on top, whirlpool under the kick plate which is holded by 3 screws and other manufactured in different different locations, send me your washers pic in my Facebook, I will send you the model number for it ✌️

Check for loose connection on the door lock, it could be the MCU
Hi, great video...question . I'm getting e11 error code. Says on the manual that means long fill time(not getting water).
Replaced pressure switch. Still getting e11 error.
Checked water valves with an 110v outside source and they are working fine.
Also the tube that goes to the pressuere switch is fine.no holes or leaks.
Replaced main board...still getting e11 error code.
Cleaned all diacharge hoses, water pump is working fine.
Not sure what else to do.
It only works on rinse and spin cycle. Nothing Else.

love2beknown check all the wires from main display board to the board under the washer on the side, if there wires are OK replace main board which is located at the bottom of the washer. It's communications problem between 2 boards ✌️

If your bearing is not broken from the back . Check your motor wires and motor itself .
I have exchanged new drain pump on my affinity washer but is still Doesn't drain correctly n stops at 6 min. Any suggestions what it might be. Please help me
Freddie Mendoza make sure your drain hose is clean and it's not too long, also check your coin trap under the washer for garbage and debris build ups.
Freddie Mendoza coin trap is a rubbery piece it's located under the washer, before the water goes to the drain pump it goes on coin trap after coin trap it goes to the drain pump and then to the drain hose,
Hi, Im getting E5A error which means speed control board is bad. I did the diagnostic mode and on every test its giving me E5A, so Im confused whether i need to change the speed control board or the console control board 🤷♂️
Paul K the all the connections and contact for rust and corrosion build ups, speed board is not very common to go bad

thanks, will check. At the moment the washer only powers up, but when I press start, it locks the door and nothing else happens. No matter which cycle. Thats when I ran the diagnostic and it gave me the E5A error.
Paul K check your drain pump, because some units locks the door and drains after that, if something is stuck in the drain pump it will not do anything, also make sure your water is on, cold and hot water, 👌

Hameed, what was the actual culprit for that washer? Was it the system board or was it the motor controller? In following test #9, the procedure points to a bad motor controller after eliminating motor and bearing issues. I would be inclined to swap out motor controllers before considering the main board
Door lock and motor control boards are very common problems for these units.
