  • I get to drive a REAL 4000 HP Nitro Burning Funny Car for the first time ever! It was CRAZY!
Once in a lifetime, an opportunity comes along that you just have to take. When legendary Australian drag racer Graeme Cowin offered me the drive in this insane Nitro Funny Car, I jumped at the chance to get behind the wheel. A Blown Hemi running on Nitro is one very angry high powered combination, that we couldn't wait to experience. It was daunting and dangerous but well worth the effort for what turned out to be an awesome episode, effectively putting the viewer in my shoes.
Graeme Cowin was a famous Drag racer starting out in the '70s with a nitro blown Altered, then a Funny Car, and he eventually transitioned to Top Fuel, becoming the first-ever in Australia to run a 4-sec pass and he also competed at the highest level in NHRA in the USA. His Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars and Hot Rods series puts on one of the best drag racing shows in Australia.
At Master of Machines we'll check out anything with wheels and an engine, from American Muscle Cars, Australian Muscle Cars, Japanese Cars, European Cars, Classic Cars, Vintage Cars, Race Cars, Vintage Racers, Historic Race Cars, Motorcycles, Trucks, you name it, we'll cover it, and not only that, but we'll even drive it!
Master of Machines host Glenn Everitt has extensive experience in the Automotive Industry, as a high performance technician and dyno tuner, including other industries such as auto restoration and auto detailing. He's a lifelong racer too, starting with road racing from a very young age and also competing in Drag Racing for many years. He's also passionate about two wheels as well having started out on dirt bikes, moving to Sports bikes of all kinds.

    Very Lucky Man, Glenn.
I am sure there are many people who would think to themselves i would Love to drive one of these cars.
When Scott was taking you through the pre-race preparation it started to get real.
There is no f....... about, it,s a serious car to drive.
It,s nothing like a street car with an overkill engine under the bonnet.
If something goes wrong you might be lucky and only be embarrassed.
The whole crew and family were great people to be around you could feel it, just by watching this video.
NO big egos anywhere just a good group of people enjoying what they do.
    Happy for you Glenn.
Nice feeling i am sure being fired out of cannon, LOL.

Well done, man! I love that old school style on the Mustang, and the motor is classic - a single magneto Keith Black/Chrysler style Hemi. Perfect - just like the cars I grew up watching as a child. You're a wheelman, Glenn. I don't think any of the Top Gear/Grand Tour guys would do anything close to what you just did. :D

This this was a nostalgia themed FC, hence running a more conservative power output. We have some big banger Funny Cars here making similar power too, straight out of the US, in addition to Top Fuel Cars. :-)

Really brought home the ferocity of dealing with what is a fire breathing living animal. Like bull riding a dragon. What a RUSH.
I would love to do this and fly helicopters between trees but after watching I wonder if I truly have the kahunas thb. Well done and thanks for showing me a side I've never seen even after watching NHRA for 50 years. Awesome! 👍

I agree! This episode was produced for TV a while back and the networks constantly pushed for music to be added in the productions. All of our new content to come and much of what you’ll see on our channel is all about engine music with a very small percentage of music if any at all.

UA-cam is a scam people ! There are shit Chanel’s that have millions of subs and you have genuine exiting Chanel’s like this that barely break into the triple digits! Obviously they can move subs and do what they like! Time for the digital era to go! Bring back analog where a spade is a spade . Great Chanel Glenn ! Maybe one of the best on UA-cam ! Keep these life inspiring videos coming.

Unlike most of the rest of this guy's videos, you didn't need to go to the 10-minute mark to see a lot of HP. This one, you have to go to almost the 17-minute mark. What a snooze-fest.

    • @GlennEverittMasterofMachines
      @GlennEverittMasterofMachines  3 роки тому +1

Plenty of content out there if you want to see immediate horsepower. The aim of this feature was to show the whole experience for someone that’s never driven one before. If our channel was full of 2 min videos we couldn’t make it survive with the way it all works with Adsense, etc. It’s a hard game. Still, we appreciate all feedback and also very much appreciate you watching our content.
