Funny to see Leia actually struggling during training. If Disney told this story, they’d have her humble Luke on the first lesson.
At first I thought this was going to be a ... "fan made"... thing. With poor to middling writing... This is SOO much better! I'd forgotten these comics. I think I have this series tucked away somewhere. Back in the mid 90s when the expanded universe was doing well, there were alot of folk that thought these comics would be gold in the future. After all, who could EVER screw up Star Wars?

"Not the last of the old Jedi Luke, the first of the new." Who knew one sentence could give infinitely more hope than every supposed sequel I've seen thus far.
It was a serious mistake for Disney to just throw out the entire canon. Decades of dedicated writing by talented authors building on the original film storyline and character development history, just tossed aside so Disney could produce its own swill.
None of it was ever Canon bro never approved by George ...George Lucas did not consider the Star Wars Expanded Universe canon: "I haven't read any of the novels. I don't know anything about that world" why not just consider disney as the same 😂 why hate star wars at all? You still watch the shows n shit right ? I just don't care as long as there is just Star Wars to watch and absorb and think about im good❤

If only Disney had made the thrawn series with the original characters. They could be sitting pretty right now, but instead they sacked all that in name of the message
Probably a mercy they didn't try. Disney would have mangled it beyond recognition and it would be heartbreaking to have to see that.

Amazing. It just makes me sad for what we've lost to disney and what we could have had. There' s a whole political story arc with Leia that rhymes perfectly with the clone wars... Written by different people in different eras with no requirement to maintain a cannon but all such fans of star wars that they maintained it's story - made for fans by fans. And disney wrecked it😢

After Return of the Jedi I thought Star Wars was done. I was crushed. But when the Prequels were announced I was going nuts! I was 9 when the first Star Wars came out. Since then I've bought every 📼📼VHS📼Tape📼📼, 💿💿Music💿CD's💿💿, 📀📀DVD's📀📀, hundreds of action figures, and well over 250 📚books📚! But according to Kathleen Kennedy, my opinion is worthless. Our opinions are worthless? Which is why I now refuse to spend ONE CENT on any Disney Items for Star Wars or Marvel. I'll give creator's like you my time and backing. Disney has destroyed what was a great story. Fans, like you who KNOW what Star Wars was, is, and should be, get my support! Thank you!

i think the story of star wars in canon and real life plays out similarly.
at first the republic or georgelucas films had a peaceful but rough era in the beginning.
then the sith turn it into the empire, aka disney buys star wars
then the republic returns or george lucas comes back to sw but not in the former capacity
It never ceases to amaze me how movie studios have great stories at the ready to adapt, yet they ignore them and replace them with absolute garbage. It would of saved them tons of money too. It's almost like they want to lose money for tax purposes or something.
GI Joe, Hitman, Max Payne, Lord of the Rings... the list is a long one.

This trilogy should have been the first films Disney Made after buying the rights. Ok Rogue One was good. But Disney had to kill off all the new characters, their first mistake. They also disassociated Disney from Timothy Zahn. Fire KK!

Thrawn takes controll of the shattered Imperial Fleet? I though he had his own hidden fleet. Why am I confused here? Not to mention that I thought Thrawn was discovered as a hidden threat... unknown at the beginning of the story.

What a breath of fresh air after that mess of a finale for the acolyte. That show is an absolute disaster. Modern SW is in a death spiral.
