I’m a Brit who lives here and I’ve been following you for a while now and you were the person who actually inspired me to do it. Thank you!!! 💜 I eat 6 times per day, 5 of which are replacement meals and then I make one ‘lean and green’ meal. Its almost identical to Cambridge diet and it’s called Optavia if any of your USA followers ask and I’d be happy to help get them set up. Its sooo easy to follow and the weight is coming off fast...its def been working for me, lost 22lbs so far and feeling so much better. Thriving finally! 🌸

Ah you 100% can lose it when you're ready! It wasn't the right time for me to focus on it until she was nearly one years old; so don't put pressure on yourself and wishing you every happiness in 3 weeks!!! xxxxxxxxxx
What are the macros for this diet?how many calories and grams of each macronutrient are you supposed to have?also,macronutrients are not measured on a scale... therefore, if you put any food on a scale and it said it is 80 grams that does not mean it’s 80 grams of protein! Therefore there is no way that thing has 200 grams of protein! I’m sorry if I sound rude but you should definitely study the basics of nutrition before starting such a restrictive diet and sharing it publicly when it is not something really healthy.lowering calories that much does actually slow down your metabolism... meaning that in order to maintain your results you will always have to be una. Caloric deficit,which , believes you do not... I’m talking from experience here because it happened to me and I gained 20 kgs in a few months after I started eating normal and yet healthy again. Now I have lost it all back but it took me several months and it is a very slow but steady process. Sometimes going slowly is better and more efficient. Definitely study how macros work and how many macros do your meals have in order to not lack any nutrient or amino acid in your diet. Especially if you’re a vegetarian on such a low fat diet
Mechi Mansilla thanks mechi; you’re right I don’t also teach macronutrients but I know that Cambridge Weight Plan was developed by nutritional and medical experts and all the nutrients are within the cwp products ensuring you get a balance of what you need. I’m glad you’ve found a way of eating that works for you x
You gained 20kg after eating healthy again... lol. You might need to go to the doctors mate or evaluate your definition of healthy normal eating, sorry. Medical science would be super interested in that motabalism change. Unless your motabilism is ruined *highly doubt what she did diet wise did that then its a basic science of calories in and calories out to maintain new healthy weight. Well done to this lady, she looks gorgeous.
I think she means , she measures out 200g of whatever protein (tofu, chicken, beans, whatever) she is eating ... not that it has 200g of protein in it.

How do you get your 5+ portions or 400g of fruit and veg a day? Could the chocolate bar that has an incredibly long list of artificial ingredients and sugar be swapped for a salad with lots of variety?

Is there really a need to restrict/weigh your spinach or iceberg? I was under the assumption it is almost nothing calorifically. How do you change your diet once you are at the weight you wanted to reach?

Yes it's totally safe to stay on it as long as you aren't losing too much to go below your BMI etc. so I'm maintaining now and going to move up the steps x
I tried the plan but by the evening of day 1 I felt so ill with really bad headache & I just couldn’t do it. I love to know how you got through the first few days especially when looking after kids xx
Oh my god - I can totally understand. The first week I did get headaches and felt nauseous but I had a quiet week and went to bed super early and by day 7 I felt the total opposite and totally energised and well. It's just the toxins leaving your body; so I found knowing that helpful xxx
Unfortunately that is the result of all the toxins leaving your body and detoxing all of the sugars from your system. That feeling is awful but it is short lived. Knowing that can help people persevere through it.
It is not toxins leaving your body it is your body needing more fuel. These portions are no where near enough for an adult. As someone who suffers from eating disorders this video really scares and triggers me. I love you SJ and I really hope you’re getting the nourishment you deserve now!

SJ Strum I started the week before my holiday which was a horrific idea so have stopped and will resume next week when I get back but I’m still really struggling with picking at little bits during the day (I’m on step 2). Did this happen to you or did you completely abstain?x
I've been on Cambridge for 4 weeks and lost two stone but I'm just on the sole source step, so only three shakes a day, was just wondering if you think the meals would be better when I go back to uni? As I do the shakes in the summer as I'm not so busy

Thanks for this, I’m also a veggie doing the Cambridge plan. I’m on sole source currently and can go up to the next step on 18th July (not that I’m counting or anything 😅😂). I was just wondering if we are allowed halloumi as our 200g protein sometimes? I like quorn and tofu, but I feel like I’m really missing cheese. Or do I just need to forget about cheese for now? Ah I bet! The meal will feel like luxury! I don't think you're allowed cheese but you can have cottage cheese which I really like - I'll have to check my list xxxx
why don't you try nutritional yeast I dont know if it's allowed in the Cambridge diet but it's what vegans mostly use as an alternative to cheese I think 1 tblspoon/teaspoon contains all your daily vitamin B I've heard it tastes like cheese and it's nutty

Just wondering what will happen when you’re happy with your weight and stop the diet? How can you eat to maintain your weight without putting it all straight back on or continue to lose weight until you’re unhealthily skinny?
briemadonna they have a 6 step programme which reduces products and increases meals so you learn to eat correct portions. I’m actually moving up to step 3 now and it’s important with the one to one consultant I agree to make sure you don’t get too thin. They check you stay within healthy bmi and also maintain. Xx

About 300 ml a day they recommend - so lots! I've not done well with water this week and really feel sluggish so tried really hard yesterday and feel so much better! Definitely the biggest difference you can make as everyone says!

I’d love to go on the Cambridge weight plan as I need to loose 2 1/2 stone but I just can not afford it at the moment so I’m trying to drink more water and eat more sensibly instead (and stop eating the kids leftovers too 🤭) You look incredible and are a massive inspiration xx
I so need to try this again once I'm no longer breastfeeding. My question is how you cope with family get together's etc? I've done a similar diet in the past and when I turn up to the BBQ with my packet of dried food, everyone immediately jumps on me to say how silly I'm being on a 'crash' diet. Similarly I've missed out on family birthday meals and nobody understands. How do you cope with this type of situation? You look great btw x
It's definitely the hardest part - I've had BBQ's where I've had a small no carb salad as my 200 calorie meal and nobody really noticed. I think as mums social occasions are so rare that I just enjoy them - and get right back on plan the next day. Now I've been on this plan for so long I also don't fancy or even manage a bigger meal. I think like anything it's a balance; I didn't stray off plan at all for the first 3 months then the last 2 I did do a few more social things which slowed me down but didn't STOP me - if you know what i mean xxx

Hi SJ, I am a working mum of 2 ( boy and girl) and currently on week 3 on the CWP. Lost approx 6.5lbs so far. I am the same height as you (5'4) and I am also looking to lose the same amount of weight as you (probably not 4 stones and 3.5 stones is fine with me). Your videos are my inspiration for days like this (weekends is not easy on CWP) and I really love them. Can you let me know how do you manage to drink enough water during the day? I found it a bit embarrassing at working having to go to the loo all the time ( especially during the meetings with clients!) and the office keeps running of bottled water..lol I am also hoping you could do some more meal ideas videos, please? I love healthy eating and although I’m not doing the Cambridge diet,, I am like you had baby dec 2016 and I am 8st 7 at min but I like to be 8/2 that’s my pre weight. So I am going to do your ideas you’ve shared x
SJ Strum yes I use them a lot but went and got the Sumac (dry) and a hot spicy rub! Both Waitrose and cooking as we speak!!! X you may like my bliss balls I make so easy!!! X

charlotte lodge I’ve always eaten quite separate meals from my husband as I’m veggie so not such a change for us; I eat breakfast and my snacks with the kids so it also works for us that way xx

Really high! You get a lot of energy on this diet as you're eating regularly and getting all your nutrients; it was the best thing about it really as I used to get really tired in the afternoons x

I didn't weight myself but I was a size 12 so probably around 10 stone as that's when I was a size 12 on this diet; before kids (8 years ago() I was this weight 8 stone 7 for a few years; but I had time to work out everyday! x
ha ha - no exercise yet except loads of walking with the kids. I must walk for over 2 hours a day as the school run is an hour so that helps; I really want to exercise it's just fitting it in xx
To be weighing how much spinach and spring onions you can have is a little ridiculous. And then reducing the amount of protein you have in order to add a basically zero calorie sauce... Not a healthy and sustainable mindset to have around food.
@@lv5449 it's still a more sustainable mindset then the packaged food, but the the point is that in your original comment you only pointed out the dinner and not the rest of the meals, as if the dinner meal was the problem when it's more so the other meals since they are the ones from the program & packaged
You eat very little ! Does it add up to 1000 calories even ? I’m a size 12 my bmi’s about 26 and I’m losing 2lbs+ each week on 2500 calories a day , your tdee will be a bit less that mine but you could still eat more !

3:35 can't be 'bolonese' if it's vegetarian just like sausages, chili etc 'vegan' meat for example come on it's called something with a reason, i don't mind different meal tastes or vegan/vegetarian diets but don't call something 'meat' when it's not
I keep saying 'next month' but I'm trying to get started as I'm in such a 'routine' I can't think about changing! But I need to; definitely during the kids summer holidays as I'm allowed 2 x 200calorie meals on step 3 I think and that will be nice over the summer as we'll be in Sweden and I can enjoy eating with the family x

I tried the plan but by the evening of day 1 I felt so ill with really bad headache & I just couldn’t do it. I love to know how you got through the first few days especially when looking after kids xx
Oh my god - I can totally understand. The first week I did get headaches and felt nauseous but I had a quiet week and went to bed super early and by day 7 I felt the total opposite and totally energised and well. It's just the toxins leaving your body; so I found knowing that helpful xxx
Unfortunately that is the result of all the toxins leaving your body and detoxing all of the sugars from your system. That feeling is awful but it is short lived. Knowing that can help people persevere through it.
It is not toxins leaving your body it is your body needing more fuel. These portions are no where near enough for an adult. As someone who suffers from eating disorders this video really scares and triggers me. I love you SJ and I really hope you’re getting the nourishment you deserve now!

I've been on Cambridge for 4 weeks and lost two stone but I'm just on the sole source step, so only three shakes a day, was just wondering if you think the meals would be better when I go back to uni? As I do the shakes in the summer as I'm not so busy

Thanks for this, I’m also a veggie doing the Cambridge plan. I’m on sole source currently and can go up to the next step on 18th July (not that I’m counting or anything 😅😂). I was just wondering if we are allowed halloumi as our 200g protein sometimes? I like quorn and tofu, but I feel like I’m really missing cheese. Or do I just need to forget about cheese for now? I dont know if it's allowed in the Cambridge diet but it's what vegans mostly use as an alternative to cheese
I think 1 tblspoon/teaspoon contains all your daily vitamin B
I've heard it tastes like cheese and it's nutty

Just wondering what will happen when you’re happy with your weight and stop the diet? How can you eat to maintain your weight without putting it all straight back on or continue to lose weight until you’re unhealthily skinny?
briemadonna they have a 6 step programme which reduces products and increases meals so you learn to eat correct portions. I’m actually moving up to step 3 now and it’s important with the one to one consultant I agree to make sure you don’t get too thin. They check you stay within healthy bmi and also maintain. Xx

About 300 ml a day they recommend - so lots! I've not done well with water this week and really feel sluggish so tried really hard yesterday and feel so much better! Definitely the biggest difference you can make as everyone says!

I’d love to go on the Cambridge weight plan as I need to loose 2 1/2 stone but I just can not afford it at the moment so I’m trying to drink more water and eat more sensibly instead (and stop eating the kids leftovers too 🤭) You look incredible and are a massive inspiration xx

I so need to try this again once I'm no longer breastfeeding. My question is how you cope with family get together's etc? I've done a similar diet in the past and when I turn up to the BBQ with my packet of dried food, everyone immediately jumps on me to say how silly I'm being on a 'crash' diet. Similarly I've missed out on family birthday meals and nobody understands. How do you cope with this type of situation?

It's definitely the hardest part - I've had BBQ's where I've had a small no carb salad as my 200 calorie meal and nobody really noticed. I think as mums social occasions are so rare that I just enjoy them - and get right back on plan the next day. Now I've been on this plan for so long I also don't fancy or even manage a bigger meal. I think like anything it's a balance; I didn't stray off plan at all for the first 3 months then the last 2 I did do a few more social things which slowed me down but didn't STOP me - if you know what i mean xxx

Hi There SJ - amazing stuff - I am doing the Cambridge diet - I live in Dubai and I didn't see a consultant - so I have been doing sole source for 3 weeks with 3 CWP meals per day - should I be adding in a meal now? I have lost 5kg in total so I am weighing in at 9 stone 7lbs - I will ask your mum too

Hi SJ, I am a working mum of 2 ( boy and girl) and currently on week 3 on the CWP. Lost approx 6.5lbs so far. I am the same height as you (5'4) and I am also looking to lose the same amount of weight as you (probably not 4 stones and 3.5 stones is fine with me). Your videos are my inspiration for days like this (weekends is not easy on CWP) and I really love them. Can you let me know how do you manage to drink enough water during the day? I found it a bit embarrassing at working having to go to the loo all the time ( especially during the meetings with clients!) and the office keeps running of bottled water..lol I am also hoping you could do some more meal ideas videos, please? charlotte lodge I’ve always eaten quite separate meals from my husband as I’m veggie so not such a change for us; I eat breakfast and my snacks with the kids so it also works for us that way xx

Really high! You get a lot of energy on this diet as you're eating regularly and getting all your nutrients; it was the best thing about it really as I used to get really tired in the afternoons x

I didn't weight myself but I was a size 12 so probably around 10 stone as that's when I was a size 12 on this diet; before kids (8 years ago() I was this weight 8 stone 7 for a few years; but I had time to work out everyday! x

ha ha - no exercise yet except loads of walking with the kids. I must walk for over 2 hours a day as the school run is an hour so that helps; I really want to exercise it's just fitting it in xx

To be weighing how much spinach and spring onions you can have is a little ridiculous. And then reducing the amount of protein you have in order to add a basically zero calorie sauce... Not a healthy and sustainable mindset to have around food.
@@lv5449 it's still a more sustainable mindset then the packaged food, but the the point is that in your original comment you only pointed out the dinner and not the rest of the meals, as if the dinner meal was the problem when it's more so the other meals since they are the ones from the program & packaged
You eat very little ! Does it add up to 1000 calories even ? I’m a size 12 my bmi’s about 26 and I’m losing 2lbs+ each week on 2500 calories a day , your tdee will be a bit less that mine but you could still eat more !

3:35 can't be 'bolonese' if it's vegetarian just like sausages, chili etc 'vegan' meat for example come on it's called something with a reason, i don't mind different meal tastes or vegan/vegetarian diets but don't call something 'meat' when it's not

I keep saying 'next month' but I'm trying to get started as I'm in such a 'routine' I can't think about changing! But I need to; definitely during the kids summer holidays as I'm allowed 2 x 200calorie meals on step 3 I think and that will be nice over the summer as we'll be in Sweden and I can enjoy eating with the family x
