  • This is a review of the Atlas 80 Volt, Harbor Freight Lawn Mower using the 40V 5Ah / 80V 2.5 Ah Dual Voltage Battery. What's its battery Life? Does it compare to gas? Is the Harbor Freight lawn mower worth it? Can it handle high grass? Are battery powered lawn mowers any good? We'll be testing all these questions within the next few months. Lithium Ion batteries are good , but are they that good?

Are battery powered lawn mowers any good? We'll be testing this thing within the next few months to see how it does. Do you have one of these lawn mowers? Do you like it? Hate it? Share your experience!

Thank you! I’m a 68 year old woman and husband had a heart attack so I had to do the whole thing by myself. Even lifting out of box! I really appreciate your video. I read directions of course but I’m a visual learner! Lol😅

Thank you,,,, great video,, I've had my Atlas 80V Mower for a few weeks now just sitting there, i was waiting for just the right instructional video to help me put it together.. You did that and I can't thank you enough.. I have a very large yard that hasn't been mowedd since my riding mower broke several weeks ago. my grass was 2 to 3 feet high and i'm so happy to say this little atlas powered through it with no problems . i love this mower. and am so thankful to you for such concise detailed instructions.. I, like you will never buy another gas mower Be blessed ....

I have 4 of the Atlas batteries and that slow charger but I should buy the faster one sometime and I actually bought the faster charger a couple years ago but it didn't work right so I just took it back but I might get it again in the future possibly but as of right now I have the 80v weed eater, Pole saw and chainsaw but I'm thinking of getting the blower also sometime when they have a deal again where if you buy an extra battery you can get a free tool but I'm really contemplating on this mower and I haven't bought it yet because I have a really big yard with really thick weeds so I didn't know if it had enough power or run time for my needs but I'm getting really tired of maintaining gas powered mowers that constantly give you problems so I really might buy this one sometime and maybe still use other things that I have some but at least with electric trimmers and mowers and stuff the maintenance is basically almost non-existent without having to always add gas, change the filters, change the spark plugs and all that and I love the 80v trimmer which works great but it's only basically for like really small areas and replacing the trimmer line on it is a pain in the butt though which is the worst part about it or at least it is on mine and the saw cuts awesome but sometimes the chain comes off or I don't always have it adjusted right so that is kind of a pain but I'm really contemplating on getting this Atlas mower also sometime and it looks like they discontinued the version that isn't self-propelled because before they had 2 different versions of this mower where one of them the wheels will turn also which is the 1 they still have and the one you have but it looks like they discontinued the version that was like $60 cheaper that wasn't self-propelled that basically was only using the battery to chop weeds and I was thinking of getting that version actually instead because I was thinking that the battery would last longer on that version and I would just push the mower myself which is what I've been doing lately with my walk behind string trimmer but it has been giving me a lot of problems lately so I'm really contemplating on getting another mower and most likely this Atlas electric one because I already have several of the batteries and I really like the idea of a lot less maintenance but I'm just still concerned about the ability for it to cut thick tall weeds which is what I have but great video man you really went into detail and I appreciate it and you sold me on it I think!

Locking rear wheels seems like kind of a pain i it would be nice if they made it without the drive because it's not any worse than a gas more you push

just bought one today and haven't used yet. hubby refuses to use grass catcher, can it be used w/o it? also can't figure what is the mulcher's purpose? should I use it or take it off? oh I don't have self propelled. =/ can't wait to review after hubby uses. He thinks I am trying to cause more work as it is only 21" blade/shorter row/blade cut vs 28" blade. Hoping the quiet and ease of use from all other reviews will make him happy and easy.
