- Are Cordless Battery Powered Lawn Mowers Worth The Money? There so many brands out there like EGO, Hart, Worx, Ryobi, Toro and many more. We can not tell you the Atlas Cordless lawn mower is better, but we can show it work. We show you the truth on this cordless mower! This is not just one of the many self propelled lawn mower reviews. We run this FlexVolt battery powered lawn mower from Harbor Freight through the paces. We tested the Atlas 80V Lithium-ion cordless 21 inch self propelled mower in real world conditions. We cut it no slack. It is rated to mow for 80 mins of mowing and we mowed through light stuff, thick stuff, and mean stuff.
We will do a mid summer review.

I just bought this yesterday and this is the best review i've seen on youtube or anywhere. Thank You very much!!!!!!!
We still use ours quite a bit
Best video for the atlas and I’m sold! Got my battery and charger and will get the mower tomorrow plus another battery. Thanks you!!!😀👍🏾
Love your video, Tony. I'm unboxing my new BDay present to self now and your video not only showed me how easy set up will be, it's also improbably enjoyable (and at times hilarious) to watch. Thank you for making my evening!
Thank you. We try. I broke out the Atlas mower, and weed eater last week. I am using the Atlas chainsaw today. Very pleased with it all.
I'm also amazed with the new battery powered power tools, Tony. From chainsawa, to lawn mowers, and weed eaters. Last summer I purchased a 40 v Kobalt weedeater at Lowes. Its pretty impressive too. Great video Tony.
Dean, a agree. This mower blew me away. I checked out the Kobalt stuff too.
Thank you for a detailed how to video. I know nothing about mowers, gas or electric. I'm about to use my daughter's Atlas mower this weekend and I now feel confident I won't have any problems operating it
You are welcome. It will be fun.
I just bought an ego this morning and I love it so far. I didn't have to assemble it at all. It was already put together. The only thing I had to do if I wanted to was put the bag on. It works wonders. About one hour battery use. New subscriber here.
Thank you for watching. We are always trying something new. Tony
THANK YOU,, THE PERFECT- HOW TO-,, I'M DEFINITELY GOING TO BUY ONE NOW THAT I'VE SEEN THIS... YOU MADE IT LOOK SO EASY..
I broke mine out today for the first time this season (only used it once last year), and had to pull up this video for a refresher on how to set the handlebars and start the thing. Haha Thanks, Tony. (By the way, this video is what swayed me to buy the Atlas)
Thank you my friend. My wife got ours out yesterday.
Awesome review! Thanks for being thorough in every aspect of this mower. Every question I had on this mower, answered. Appreciate it!
THANK YOU SIR......a 71yr young lady here ,,I just bought me one of these . Love it....Love from South Alabama....serious grass mowing.
I used my Atlas mower just the other day. It is so handy.
I'm 71yo north alabama! Looking to replace my 20yo gas mower, pull cord just getting to be too much. I have arthritis all over, bad back and knee, but i garden to stay active. In your opinion, do you think this mower is "the one" I need to buy? I like this guy's review of the mower. Thanks
@@TonysTractorAdventure what do you think of the plastic parts in the blade area? Great video, thanks.
@@sandy-rr1by I am 73YO, female, and I bought one of these 2 years ago.......I LOVE IT ..I LOVE IT SO MUCH. It looks brand new ,,I keep it that way. I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT IT
I’ve had my Ryobi two years works great. It came with a 5 year warranty on mower 3 year battery warranty. The 90 day Atlas warranty seems a little lean for a new product.
The warranty is not really lean. For the first 90 days, it be swapped out if it doesn't work, no questions. Ryobi is a good mower, but to get warranty after the 30 day warranty from the store is absolutely ridiculous. You would have to pay for shipping to a repair center and wait for it to come back. The cost of shipping to and from makes it almost cheaper to buy another new one. If you buy the extended warranty from Harbor Freight, they will just swap it out for up to two years. No questions.
Tony's Tractor Adventure as a retired service tech the Atlas and others are replacement only no repair. The only parts you can get for the Atlas is batteries and blades. So after 90 days you buy a new one unless you bought the extended warranty. I was told at my Home Depot there is a charge for out of warranty products, but not in warranty products. Hope I won’t have to use the warranty. Your Atlas is impressive hope you have good luck with it.
@@dandillon5163According to the Ryobi warranty: "The product, including any defective part, must be returned
to an authorized Ryobi service center within the warranty
period. The expense of delivering the product to the service
center for warranty work and the expense of returning it
back to the owner after repair or replacement will be paid
by the owner."
@@stevenbauer1730 Home Depot says you are kind of right. There is a cost, but only if the warranty does not cover repair. That would be only in case of abuse. Otherwise money will be refunded.
Two years into my Ryobi mower ownership and the handle breaks due to what I consider to be very flimsy construction. It's now sitting at a "warranty center" 50 miles from my house. Waiting for two weeks now. My guess is they'll fix it, but it's not all it's cracked up to be. It will break again. I'm not impressed with mower quality. Battery quality is great, though.
appreciate the thorough review.. helped me make my decision... thx
Glad to hear it!
What’s your decision
Excellent review! I have the push Atlas 80v mower and it works great with solid power/performance over wet and high/thick South Florida St Augustine grass. I use it with one 80V 4.0 Ah battery (their largest) it does both front and back of a 100x100 ft single-family home. Mulching w/no bag. Their fast charger is well worth the money.
Very happy with it and never going back to gas or corded mowers. Just bought their larger Atlas 80v blower using the same BATT and it works like a champ. Next I'm getting their Atlas weed-wacker...
Thank you for your detailed review! I will be purchasing soon!
Nick, we now have the chainsaw, mower, and string trimmer. Great products for the price.
I've purchased the Atlas mower beginning of this spring and been mowing my yard with it every since, I can't emphasize how convenient it is and how precise a battery powered mower performs. This is a good investment, well worth the price !!
I agree.
Still running good then? 👍
Yessurrr!!👍🏽
Great review Tony! I saw this at Harbor Freight yesterday and wanted to see a review of it! I have a Ryobi And have been using it for years! this one caught my eye because of the power it has and the steel deck! Thanks for showing the various grass cutting conditions as well!!
I will say this, it will mow longer than I will. 😁
I appreciate you helping me secure my choice for a brand new mower. This one looks nicely built. Great for a half an acre lot
Glad to help
Wonderful job! Both your demonstrations and your wife's filming! Thanks guys!
Really enjoyed the review. Thank you for your time, sir!
Thank you for watching
We've been thinking about getting this mower, thanks for demonstrating and giving an honest review about it!
Still using it!
So glad I found this video before I purchased the EGO or DeWalt mowers I've been looking at (at twice the price)! This is a 'sleeper' in the electric mower category. I have a number of DeWalt cordless tools, but this gives me confidence in taking a serious look at the Atlas mower today. Thanks, Tony!
You are welcome.
I don't know what prices were a year ago, but right now the Atlas with two batteries and a quick charger is only $20 less than the EGO Power+ Select cut and $80 more expensive than the regular EGO Power+.
@@davidnettleton3375 90 day warranty compared to 5 years is another big deal breaker!
@@Margalus Not really. In my experience products like this with long warranties also have a long list of exceptions, or you have to pay to ship it off somewhere for covered repairs. I wouldn't assign a whole lot of value to a 5 year manufacturer's warranty. On the other hand, you can buy the Atlas with an extended warranty, and those are typically honored. Within 90 days you should find out if you have a lemon or not.
I did end up purchasing the Atlas last week. HF had another sale and dropped $40 more off the price. The biggest factor to me ended up being the cost of the batteries for the EGo. It only comes with one, and a second one runs $350!!! Just for a battery! Where for less total money up front I can get two batteries plus the quick charger with the Atlas. And if I need to replace one, they are less than one third the cost. ($110) I also got the Atlas string trimmer and I'm very happy with both of them. Also got 12 months 0% interest financing at HF.
@@davidnettleton3375 They have a very good reputation for warranty service. They contract with local service centers for repair, there are several within 10 miles of me that service them. As for batteries, EGO batteries are known to be among the best, that's why they are expensive. But you can buy much cheaper generic batteries for them also. Besides, that one EGO battery you mention is expensive has the power of 4-6 of your atlas batteries from harbor freight. The Atlas battery is 100WH, the EGO battery is 420WH with the Power Plus and 560WH with the Select Cut XP.
Great review sir! You did a excellent job. Thanks!
Thank you
A lot of battery powered tools on the market now! Batteries are getting better as well. Nice review Tony! Have a good one!
Thank you John. I was truly impressed with it. My Mom wants one now.
My nephew and I were looking at this mower the other day because his gas mower quit on him I'm going let him watch this and maybe share it with his mom so they can see how good that mower is.
Still loving it. Going to mow today a bit.
Excellent video sir, appreciate the effort and thoughtfulness that went into it!
Thank you
You did a very honest and instructive video and provided most of the information you had available. Not scaring
the chickens, vertical storage, and not having to store gasoline are good reasons for buying it, but I have learned
not to trust battery-powered tools. I have the same issues and questions with all battery-powered tools.
#1 How long will the battery power last under a real load? You never actually say how many hours you mowed
continuously, and the grass you mowed was not much of a load compared to a healthy St Agustine lawn.
#2 How long does it take to recharge when you run down the batteries?
#3 How many times can you charge the batteries before replacing them? Two of those batteries are $219.98 each
which is nearly the same price as the mower at $249.99. Every power mower I ever had lasted me at least 20+ years.
#4 Harbor freight gives a 90-day warranty, but are the batteries part of the warranty? After 30 days, do you deal with
Harbor Freight for the warranty, or Atlas?
#5 Will this (Chinese)Atlas company be around a year from now if you need a part like that plastic fan blade underneath
the mower which looks like it could easily be broken by hitting a rock. You sure can't count on Harbor Freight for parts.
I would love to hear a follow-up video on this a year or two from now to see how much more money you had to put
into it to keep it going. I hope you prove me wrong, but for now, I will stick to my 5 hp gas mower. Thanks for the video.
Stay safe.
God Bless.
James from Houston, Texas
All good questions and thoughts, but these batteries are so much better than batteries made just a few years ago. I would get this mower again in a heartbeat. I like it so much, I now have the chainsaw.
Really great review. I have the Atlas 80V battery for the string trimmer and blower. After seeing this I'm buying the mower and one more battery and selling my gas powered riding mower. Clean exercise is good.
Thank you. We used the Atlas mower yesterday. Still doing great.
Great vid bubba; appreciate it. Been research in’ for a long while now on batt brushless mowers. I’m soon to be retiring from military & I’m tired of petrol mowers. Was bout to settle on the GreenWorks 80V, but came across this Atlas the other day at local HF, so once again began research. Always been a fan HF, but hadn’t known bout their batt mowers. Ur vid is the 2nd one I’ve viewed & with the same positive results. One thing caught my eye, tho. The similarities, cosmetically wise, compared to the GreenWorks & Kobalt batt mowers. Then thru research I have discovered that all 3, including like 2 others that aren’t well known are made by the same China manufacturing plant & ultimately owned by Chevron I believe. I’m familiar, as a frequent shopper of HF, know how their warranties are ran & IMO this is a good deal. I’m most likely gonna purchase this Atlas after all. The other popular mowers, such as HD’s Ryobi & Lowe’s EGO are good, but I’m not a fan of a polyurethane plastic deck, as they’ve been known to ‘tweek’ in a way where the blades could cut into the deck. As long as you scrape off the grass buildup underneath a steel deck, they won’t rust out nearly as bad since those clumps hold moisture. The steel decks will last much, much longer. Anyways, great review & God’s Blessings from the greatest state of TEXAS!
I still use my Atlas stuff often. I used the chainsaw yesterday.
You sure a barrel of laughs🤣. Thanks for the great review and for helping make my decision🙂👍
Thank you
Purchased an Atlas self-propelled a few weeks ago. Purchased to mow my ditch and spots not accessible with my 61” zero turn. Ergonomics and design of this thing is excellent. I don’t think people realize how much cordless equipment has come. Battery life is not awesome but manageable. Bought one battery will have to get another. Will probably look at more atlas tools. Bought the leaf blower the same day as the mower and is also very impressive!! 👍👍
The mower is so much better with two batteries.
Man these greenworks rebrands are coming out the wood works the only thing that changes is the battery platform... craziness they just need to make a universal battery platform like gasoline. Then all you would have to do is oh I like the red one
Fantastic review btw.
Gas is universal, but gas tanks are not.
That is a very impressive mower . Very good demo also 👍👍👍.
It will do what I need and more.
I bought the push version last spring. I mow the majority of our .6 acre lawn with JD rider, but I like to have a push mower for the tight spots. We had Toro rear drive self propelled for over 8 years, started every time. But the transmission for the drive went out and would be too costly to repair. We pushed it by hand for awhile but was heavy. My brother's push mower went out, so I gave him the Toro because he didn't care about self propelled since his yard is tiny. I had been using the Atlas 40v & 80v yard tools for a few years with no issues. So I decided to try this 80v push mower. I was impressed with the minimal assembly right out of the box. The deck and blade are steel, not plastic. The low noise level surprised me. The leveling system is not tedious at all. I can cut my front yard and rear large fenced-in dog yard on a single charge if I choose to. I have the tree saw, small chainsaw, blower, hedge cutter, string trimmer, and the new edger. No issues.
I still use this mower two years later. We have the chainsaw, blower, weed wacker, etc.
I just watched a guy mow grass for 20 minutes... nice video.
We all do it. 😁
Finally…..an actual MOWING review with the Atlas.
I guess for an 80v system the battery price is not terrible…..but if I took out a warranty on only one item it would be the batteries.
All in all it looks like a reasonably good mower.
Excellent review on the mower! One point it uses one battery at a time and switches on the fly when the first battery reaches cutoff voltage. So far I've acquired the 80V trimmer and blower, both are very powerful and to this point, I'm quite satisfied with them. I do plan to acquire the mower at some point as well as the chainsaw for light yard use.
I think I will at some point pick up the chain saw too. It is great for a home owner.
The pole saw has been awesome
Are those batteries 40 volt or 80 volt.? Do you have to load two batteries or can you load just one?😊
They are 80volts, and I recommend 2. It will work with one, but not as well.
Nice in-use video of that HF Atlas mower. Really honest review and very helpful.
That video is a couple years old. We still mow with this mower.
@@TonysTractorAdventure Brother, your video convinced me the drive-time was sufficient for my yard...got the mower and two batteries. Running the blade a little lower than normal (cutting back some thatch) and doing the entire front yard, I had three dots left on the second battery....all in self-propelled mode. The auto-switching mode was seemless, the load sensing was perfect. Thanks for your review...sold me on the mower and I love it. My back yard is a bit long and I tried it back there on slow propulsion and it was able to work through that long St. Augustine grass without bogging. I did move the height to 7 for that, but I was impressed.
Thank you so much for this review! I went ahead and got one because my neighbor raved about it and I really trust her judgement. After watching this video I'm so glad I did!
I just bought a generator from Harbor Freight. Love it so far.
Hi I have this mower , the weed wicker, hedge cutter. Love this battery powered system. I can start yard work earlier. No fumes . I recommend them . I fired my lawn service.
I am my lawn service. LOL.
I’m switching from gas to cordless on everything eventually. Ready to get an electric push mower next.
Outstanding video
Thank you. We have had this about 3 seasons now. It just keeps working.
I bought a battery Black and Decker eight years ago and have loved it’s ease of use. But it looks like I need a new mower. Thanks for this video.
The mower is dead! Long live the mower!!
We have had this one for about 3 years now. I think! We got it out and used it again, and it works great.
Until you mentioned it, I always wondered why most of the cordless mowers have the round disk on the bottom with the fins but yes it acts as a fan. Nice!
Thank you for watching I have to break out the mower again today.
Thanks big Tony... being in NY I really appreciate the southern perspective. ;-)
Believe it or not I have Zoysia grass here in my front yard too... a rarity for these parts. And though it browns early and gets a late start, when it's mid summer, it's a thick carpet without a weed.
Now that you've had it a while and grass is growing quickly... What are your thoughts?
I'm trying to decide between this and the EGO.. still not sure but thanks for the excellent self_propelled walk through!
The Atlas mowes well. My wife uses it to mow around the chickens.
Great demonstration you definitely inspired me into buying one.
We used ours today. 👍
Ego was cheaper when new also, real cheap. I have had two ego 20" mowers for about 10 years along with blower, three grass trimmers, and a bush trimmer. Bought all on line from varied venders, they are all registered with Ego. Had a mower that would not work at all after I purchased it, called Ego, sent me a new mower (no charger or battery) immediately. Still have the one that didn't work for parts. All six batteries still work, one charger went bad out of six, quick charger still works. I was surprised at Atlas's price too, especially for batteries, but it sent a caution message to my mind. Believe atlas is about 20 lbs heavier too. That's my experience with Ego. Thanks
Good deal
Great review thank you very much!!!
You are welcome.
You did a hell of a review Atlas should pay you for this convenience my to buy one Thanks
Thank you.
I had no idea Harbor Freight sold a mower. I've been looking on Ebay, reviews on UA-cam, even Craigslist, and never saw the Atlas brand. Your video makes it look like a serious competitor to EGO, Kobalt, and Greenworks...the ones I see reviewed most.
I think Greenworks makes it for HF, but Atlas is the only brand built like this. It is at the top of capacity.
I am an Ego fan since the last two years that I started buying their power equipment and man they are insane awesome. But I love to learn from other companies and makes me happy that we are moving away really fast those nasty, noisy and ugly gas mowers that beside of all I mentioned before they require lot of maintenance.
Thanks for sharing and happy for you that you like going to electric power.
Thank you. I am so impressed with how far battery powered mowers have come. It is just amazing.
Just bought one of these too; can’t wait to try it
We used ours the other day.
Thank you Sir. I need a mower my wife ife can use when I'm to busy at work. This is going to be great and it appears I'll use this to. I need about 45 solid minutes of power to cut my grass. Saw this is Harbor Freight for 179 , charger 29. 1 battery is 60. I'm tired of working on gas yard equipment that decides not to work right and always at the wrong time. When you need it. lol
Get two of the 80v batteries and it seems to last over an hour even through the thick stuff. Performance drops off with one battery IMO.
Nice! Battery equipment has come a long way, I don’t have a lot of use for a push mower anymore other than when I mow at my Moms and I use one for about 30 minutes, when my gas mower wears out this is probably the route I’ll go. Thanks for the great review Tony!
Hey my friend. You are right on. After watching your saw Videos, I am thinking about getting one of the chainsaws.
Tony's Tractor Adventure that’s awesome! And you have the batteries already! Lol
Very well done video, I'm going to go ahead and get one based on your assessment.
I was glad to see that the batteries this Atlas mower uses can be put into the Atlas chainsaw, edger, weed eater etc. So that mitigates the expensiveness of the batteries in a sense. In other words once you have a battery or two, that's all the battery power you need to use several of their other products. I bought two, plus a fast recharger when Harbor Freight was having a sale. (for my chainsaw)
Our tools are about 3 year old now. They are still going.
Nice review. Harbor Freight is a great place to buy quality tools & equipment.
They have really came a long way. I have had great service so far.
Great Video! The mower did a great job!
You got that right!
Nice review! Thank you! 👍🏻
My pleasure! Thank you for watching.
I would say just buy the ego as it has a better warranty. It comes with a 5 year warranty. The coupon does work online to get $60 off but only with the fast charger. Shipping is $6.99 but no option for the add-on warranty. The warranty is $50 for 2 years. So I paid in store with a $20 coupon all together about $550 with charger and battery. The ego with dual blades was on sale for $550 making it a better value
I will take your word for it! I am happy with the Atlas so far, and I am sure EGO makes a good mower. I just used the keyword EGO power to intrigue people to watch.
What's a replacement ego battery run?
How much longer does ego equipment run than atlas (see kite army videos).
It look well made very solid piece of equipment, I got a half an acre jungle that I need to mow. That would be a good test b for this mower.
Yes it would! Do it!
@@TonysTractorAdventure yes but the deck will rot out over time if you dont keep it clean
Excellent real world review . Thank you sir.
My pleasure
It’s all in what you like or want. To each their own. There are over 25 different names that build lithium powered lawn tools. They are all made in China so don’t let that be a deterrent. They are great 👍🏻 tools. I have a Ryobi 40V chainsaw, weed wacker & blower. I’ve had them for 3 years and they operate excellent. My 2 stroke Lawnboy Silver Series was aging and I recently purchased an EGO 2135SP mower. It’s absolutely incredible! Outperforms the Lawnboy and i get around 75 minutes of cut time with the 7.5 ah battery. About 45 minutes with the 5 ah battery. 👍🏻✌🏻💙🇺🇸🦅
Good job reviewing
Thank Jim. I appreciate that.
Darn. Wish I'd seen this about 3 weeks ago. I have found a couple less places I can mow now with the CK2610 and the rfm. I went and bought a gas self propelled mower. This might have swayed my decision. Nice video and nice looking quality. I thought it was lite until you groaned picking it up lol.
It was heavier than I expected
It worked better than I expected too.
It looked like it did. In that high stuff too.
That groan had me laughing too! Going to get mine tomorrow, I’m sold and tired of trips to the gas station and running gas out at the end of the season
Thanks for the review I'm still deciding what lawn mower is actually worth the money considering the fact I have a fairly large yard I have been looking at this particular mower but with two batteries, charger, and
It can get expensive, but the batteries last longer than me. I use my Atlas chain saw a lot this time of year.
I do apologise for not finishing my comment oops what I was trying to say with all the other lawn mowers I saw this particular one at harbor freight with the charger and planing to buy two batteries it's close to $600 that's expensive I do understand that other mower can be expensive from other stores. I know fall is right around the corner so less mowing I was kind of hoping that certain lawn mower would be on sale 😆. Since atlas is a brand I have not heard of I was just wondering how the mower is living up to your expectations for right now. Again sorry for the cut off comments and thanks for the response...
@@genshin619 That's what I'm weighing. I'm looking at the Atlas that is not self-propelled, and it looks like a better option than the Ryobi. However, the Ryobi comes with a battery and charger. Once you add the battery, you're paying a lot more for the Atlas.
I would without hesitation purchase the Atlas mower, chainsaw, or string trimmer again. Nothing but positive results so far. I have work the chainsaw hard.
@@TonysTractorAdventure Don't blame you with how there warranty works. Another nice thing harbor freight tool instruction have schematics to repair there tools if you feel brave, Plus they sell the parts needed to fix them. Not alot of places let you repair your own stuff anymore.
Excellent box cutting skills. Keep cutting that way and you will keep all your fingers. 😁
Wait, I am missing one finger! 😁
Just this week our safety guy at work accidently cut his finger with a box knife and cost us in Shipping/Receiving a safety Buck!
Be careful out there!
My busy works for Harbor freight and convinced me to go with lawnmower untill I got to check out. Even after his 25% employee discount ( which can't be combined for coupons) and paying for a warranty the total was $530. Keep in mind that the warranty only applies to the tool for 2 years and the charger/batti are not covered.
When to Lowe's instead and walked out with they're 80v self push that came with charge/battery/5year tool 3 year battery warranty/ free extra 80v battery and an additional 2year replacement plan for $418
For two years, you can have it replaced at Harbor Freight without a fuss. Lowes requires the item to be returned to a repair center after 30 days which can take months. I did without my high dollar drill for 2 months. The batteries can be warranted as well through HF. Honestly, it is most likely the warranties will not be used by ether make. They look well built.
I paid $390 for this mower with charger & battery AND i got the 2 year warranty for the mower and 2 year warranty for charger.
@@TonysTractorAdventure the store manager told me that since this is a lawnmower they will not let me switch it out after the 90days even with warranty. They will either send it for repair or give me store credit
Great review! I came across this video. How is the Atlas holding up for you now?
I really like your Atlas electric mower man and I think I kinda wanna get one myself since I already have 4 of the batteries with several of the other outdoor tools like the weed eaters, chainsaws, and pole saws but with a big giant humungous yard like that if you're gonna be using that little push mower you're literally gonna be spending your entire life just cutting the grass because you definitely need a really big riding mower to keep that grass down and not to be wearing out your body also.
That video is older, but the mower still mows.
great video, thanks.
Thank you
nice video! great job!
Thank you
Thank you sir for the review.will be going tomorrow to harbor freight to pick one up.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

This will be the third mowing season. We don't use it a lot, but it always works.
@@TonysTractorAdventure just went to harbor freight today and picked it up.going to put it together tomorrow and test it out.
I watched this video and said the same thing, to check out HF tomorrow :). The two batteries and a charger cost $250 plus the mower so I hope it's all worth it
Hi Tony, great video! I'm considering adding these to our mowing crews for smaller properties. I know they are not commercial, but for a couple uses a week I figure it would be fine. Do you happen to know what the actual recharge time is on each battery by any chance? The charge time will be the deciding factor. Thanks in advance!
I really have no idea. I plug them up after I use the mower, and they are charged when I get back. Sorry.
Batteries charge to 90 percent in about 45 minutes. Within 1.5 for full. I have 3 batteries for the 80v whacker and could go all day doing 90 percent charges.
Standard chargers, recharge batteries in ~115ish minutes also
I own a self-propelled 21 inch Snapper 82v that have a similar modification as the Greenworks, Kobolt, or Atlas.
One company makes many of them, but they are all a little different.
Nice review.... On a side note, you ALWAYS want to overlap that one wheel about an inch or so. That goes with any and all mowers... Both electric and gas. That's a given.
I've seen this mower at harbor freight the last several times I've went there and have been checking it out...
I always just assume their products are subpar and just kind of mediocre at best, but this particular mower seems to be higher quality than I thought it would be. 👍🏼
Harbor Freight is stepping up their game. I have some of their pro tools, and they are top-shelf.
does it come with two batteries?
Where do you hook it to the tractor Thanks for the videos
Quick attach loader.
Great video, too many videos with people talking about mowers and not using them. I wanted this mower, but needed to see if it was really any good. Thanks.
Still use it. I used the Atlas Chainsaw today at a friend's house.
@@TonysTractorAdventure Hi Tony, is this rear Or front driven? Been thinking about whether to buy the Atlas self-propelled Or the traditional style. It the self-propelled function worththe extra $100?
It is rear-drive. It can be a side discharge or a rear bagger, depending on how you set it up. I like the self propelled.
Are the 2 batteries that you used "80V 2.5 Ah 40V 5.0 Ah Lithium-Ion Battery " ?
Is this still working well for you? The lack of a standard warranty has me a bit worried to pull the trigger.
How’s the mower holding up? Been thinking of getting one for the areas my tow behind can’t get to. Although at the current time Lowe’s has the EGO non propelled model with battery and charger for $399
We used it the other day and it is doing fine. My neighbor bought one also, he uses it a lot. Both Atlas mowers have held up nicely.
Tony great video sounds like you really like this mower! How are the rest of the Atlas tools. Two yrs ago I purchased the Harbor Freight Lynx blower weed whacker and pole saw.. 2 yrs later I still love the blower and the pole saw is amazing but the weed whacker didn't last a full season and I was just past 90 days and they were no help on servicing or replacement, just told me I should have bought a warranty. I have since bought the EGO trimmer and love that but don't like multiple battery systems. Do you recommend this system? Or any recommendation on best cordless system to choose? Thanks for your input! Love your videos!
Bryan, All I have at the moment is the mower. I am looking at the chainsaws next. All I can say at this time, is the mower works great. It will out mow me!
I have that mower. It works great
We are finishing our second year using it around the house.
I wish you had tested the mulcher. I wonder if it has a good one with a high quality of mulch and how much power it took compared with just throwing the grass out the chute. Also, how many amps are in the batteries?
I mowed thick grass for 1 and 1/2 hours and only used one battery. Don't lose sight of forest because the trees got in your way.
@@TonysTractorAdventure glad to hear. Everyone video I see is ppl using as bush hogs and getting 20 minutes of run time
Top shelf Video.
Thank you. We truly try to be fair.
Does it throw most of the grass into the bag/can you get an actual full bag of grass? My biggest concern getting a new mower is that I want to collect as much grass as possible for compost
It does a great job collecting. My wife gives it to here chickens.
Good video,
How many cutting blade does it have?
It has one like most gas mowers. Some of the lower-powered mowers use two blades in order to make up for the slower speed of the blades. This mower competes with gas models easily.
love it
Yes sir
I have been thinking about this mower for some time but am concerned about the plastic hub underneath the mower. I have a black walnut tree and they are rough on my gas powered lawnmower..I was wondering how it would hold up in my yard...
That would be tough on any mower. I am not sure this would be right for you.
Thank you for your reply
The Chickanic had a Kobalt mower in her shop that hit a tree root and it snapped the blade off at the spindle. If you have a lot of root exposure, this might not be a good idea. The parts are available and easily replaceable...but how often would you want to spend the money and time?
Just moved into my new house yesterday, and i plan on buying a whole lawn care setup. I watched this video the other day ,which made me start looking at atlas. I have looked at different hardware stores and their mowers, but i keep coming back to this. So what do you think? Should i buy the atlas products? Are you still using it?
We still use it often. Our grass is slowing down, so the mower and weed wacker are not getting used much anymore this year. We use our Chainsaw a lot.
@@TonysTractorAdventure thats all i needed to know, thankyou so much. Heading to harbor freight today.
Thanks
Welcome
Does anyone know how much is the extended warrenty for this lawn mover? I would rather have some peace of mind while buying the product. Also, how long is the run time with one 80v battery?
I would only run it with two batteries.
How long have you been moving when u did this video and how many acres? Great video overall
I don't mow acres. I trim with it. I mowed a lot in this video for a test. The mower is a couple years old now and still works great.
Hi,
After 2 years of use, how’s the mower doing now? Are you still happy with it?. Good video. Thanks
We still use it often. It has held up perfect.
Looks Identical to the Greenworks 60v Mower. Is it made by them?
I think so, but it is 80v
So this video was two years. Do you still have the atlas mower if so how was it working how was the battery holding up? Was it a good purchase do you recommend it still two years later?
I still have it. It still works the same.
Hi, do you really need the self propelled? My lawn is flat. Thanks
About as much as I need a truck to drive to Church. I have pushed a lot of mowers over the years, but I like this one pushing itself. They make a none self propelled version. It is no harder to push than any push mower.
Still running like new after a year? Any idea of replacement battery costs down the road? I’d think everything else would run for a good long while without issue
No problems. We have the chainsaw, weedwacker, and the mower.
Batteries running around 100 right now. Scored a returned one for 65 and no issues.
The price is high for sure.
It could easily handle a wider cut. They should consider 23" to 25"
I am sure they will in the future. It is very powerful.
Greenworks Commercial makes an 82-volt self-propelled 25-inch mower.
What does that cost
@@TonysTractorAdventure 600 bucks from Home Depot at the time of this writing and with 2 4.0 ah batteries. But reviews are mixed on it.
Just got the greenworks 60v 25 inch mower, so far so good!
I have an hour job yard. Do you think it's good for that? I also wonder about high wet grass.
I think it would work fine for that size yard. I never recommend mowing wet grass. It will just clog everything up.
@@TonysTractorAdventure well, Iol, I'm not out there trying to cut wet grass on purpose but you know, all it takes is a week full of rain and you just have to get out there before things get out of hand.
I have the 80v chainsaw, it's very nice...
I just did a video on the chainsaw. It is rock solid and fun. Tony
i wish we had harbour frieght in the uk
It is a neat store.
