    I remember when I was in high school, on Halloween they put music and this song came out. One of my friends got up and start dancing and the whole room started to mimic her. 200 teenagers dancing on footloose, that was the best memories of school :)

      @Oli Western As I've learned, I've realized that dancing is not really difficult or complicated. You've just gotta learn the moves. Since I'm now retired, hell if I can do it, so can you. 😊

    So I'm not insane. Each song really does have it's own series of steps and you just gotta know which steps go to which song.

      thats what makes the line dance scene in the movie so unrealistic in my eyes xD no way the main character who did not grow up in the South knew the dance immediately without doing one wrong step :D

      @@misterchubbikins I know, but still. I don't know how many different dances there are, but probably still too many for a guy from Boston to know the dance for the very first song that comes up. The chances are just low

      @@hinata27 probaply over a million & most can be performed to a multiple amount of songs. though I have never seen footloose I only found boogie dances in the old & line dance coreographies in the new movie. Am I wrong with this? Just wondering

    Thank you! for my notes to look back on:
    1. Grape Vine R, Grape Vine L
    2. K step (start with right
    3. Click heels 2 times. (Out-in)
    4.Right foot: Heel Heel ( front), Toe Toe (back), Heel
    pop to Left Heel, Heel pop to the right, Heel Heel
    5. Right foot: TOE (back), Side step to the right, Cross foot back and hit with your left, Turn RIGHT AND HIT WITH YOU LEFT
    Repeat

      Sean Glinski ...What it means is to say the footstep instructions while learning the dance. Then if you want to do it together to a particular song, the instructions will be in your sub conscious ready to go.

    I was never really taught how to dance. The only way I know some dances is because of school dances and doing to Cupid shuffle but I want to dance I really enjoy it and learning line dances like this is my favorite. Thanks for being my dance instructor!!

    I played the bass part of this song during a gig at a wedding and watching everyone do this dance (and attempt) was very fun to watch

    I have two left feet, have a great mind at remembering things, just not dance steps and this video even made it simple enough that even I can remember the steps and everything within a couple times of watching. Now to practice and get the pace up. Thanks

    awesome tutorial, thank you! Well explained and straight to the point! It's also great you tell the names of the steps.
    I only wished the music would keep on playing, it brakes off just when I get into the rhythm and want to keep dancing. But as for the tutorials itself, 5 stars. ;)

    In a lot of dances, the heel clicks can be substituted for anything else really that looks cool. Also, I like to do double clap, then clap, then double clap then clap again during the K step

    So in middle school I was in the orchestra, our orchestra had a small social day where after school we socialized, now one thing we did was dancing to certain songs, one was footloose, so my orchestra teacher proceeded to do this exact dance and some of us (including me and 2 of my friends) tried to follow, pretty sure we did horrible but it was fun lol

    My feet (or maybe it’s my brain & feet) don’t like the heel toe transition.🤣 This is a great tutorial!! If I could just lock in the dang heel toe transition!!❤️
    **Late to the party, but being from Texas means keeping at least some line dances ready at a moment’s notice!😅😂

    I had to get a dance for school about traditional dances chose tis one it wasn't hard for my group but it was good my teacher wanted us to do it 3 times😂😂
