I'm a sucker for this particular scene. The music and dancing is wonderful. When you watch a scene and suddenly feel the urge to listen to music you don't normally listen or dance the way you normally don't dance, that is a great scene.
Heck, I wish they would play Fishing in the Dark on all the stations besides just country. It's a great song with a great sound that crosses all genres.
They’re overrated. 0 talent, 0 meaning, 0 art. Hence why no country artist can sell a ticket outside of this dumb country. Even in America, people that actually live a true “country” lifestyle seldom listen to country music.
The one thing I liked about this movie is that they actually had the main people dance with other people like the main guy dances with other women and it’s just fun and no one gets mad
People think stuff like this isnt real life.....clearly never been to a popular country bar. I live in the city and there are A LOT of patrons who all know all the big line dances. Not so uncommon lol
I know what you mean I love Wyoming so much! The country music and the people everything it’s amazing! Sadly I don’t live in the state but I can always go for some vacation 😉
This is a great, exciting scene, and shows that country line dancing can be elevated to a higher level. During the last 20 years that I’m doing line dancing, I never saw something like this. I feel impressed by the enthusiasm by the young dancers, the clapping , the footwork and such to good country rock music.(“Fake I.D.” by Big and Rich, featuring Gretchen Wilson).
@UCyWgMB5oWm5aYC90M6sB6cw probably, you are privileged regarding country line dancing. Probably, you are living in the USA? I am living in the Netherlands, and I regularly go to country festivals where they always give country line dancing either to good live music or from computer. I watched this movie a loooong time ago. Couldn't remember the name of it, or any characters, or even what it was about. I remembered today this cool dance in it, so I just typed "cowboy dancing in movie" and this was at the very top. So even UA-cam knows which cowboy dance scene in movies slaps the most and kindly put it at the top for me.
I moved from Texas to Massachusetts and this is making me miss line dancing in the honky-tonks so much! I went only a few times a year when I was back home, and now I wish I had gone all the time
It's funny for those who criticize the fantasy of this many dancers being in sync...clearly you've never been to a country bar or honky tonk on the weekends. Obviously you'll have a few people who aren't very good, but majority of the dance floor is always filled with regulars who dance in very good sync with one another. Line dancing (4 wall dancing) is super easy to learn, and yes majority of us wear western boots (even us city boys lol)
I took years of dance and enjoyed all the seasons of "So you think you can Dance", which bring the best together, like Travis. Julianne Hough is absolutely a pleasure to watch. I love her dancing she is so committed. She is just a lovely and gorgeous dancer.
The most unrealistic part is that no one is drenched in sweat 🤣I'm line dancing 8p-1am every weekend and us regulars know so many dances that we're sweating VERY quickly, especially in a crowded bar! It's so much fun though haha
I love how everyone is like how are they all on beat?! BRUH HAVE YOU NEVER DONE ONE LINE DANCE - Cupid shuffle cha cha slide electric slide boot scooten boogie ANY DANCE EVER 😂😂😂
The thing I always hated is that in both movies, there is a clear "authoritarian villain", and it isn't Rev. Shaw Moore. it is Councilman Cranston, Chuck's father. that is one thing I like about the remake.. it makes it much clearer that Moore's pain at the loss of his son was used as an excuse... while Cranston allowed his own son to have a cottage industry on "bootleg" stuff.
I first seen something like this at the Thorny Rose outside of Denver CO, man blew my mind seeing about 50 cowboys & cowgirls doing the cupid shuffle & not missing a beat!!

So many professional dancers at the same bar. Crazy.

They were there celebrating their victory in a dance competition. True story
Its line dancing. Everyone just memorizes the steps. Hell I even used to know this one.

I love how Will laughs when Chad dances with his gf but when it was someone else he got upset and started a fight. That shows how much he trusts Chad
Well what's a best friend then?
That was Ren that dance with his girlfriend that he doesn’t mind but if it was someone else then he’ll get upset and start a fight.
@@matttaylor8161 yeah I don't know where I got Chad from haha.
Well Will knows Ren is crazy for Ariel, so he wasn't really threatened. But he knows the other man who danced with her is looking for something extra.
Guy who can dance meets mixed martial artist (2022 footloose).
The one thing I liked about this movie is that they actually had the main people dance with other people like the main guy dances with other women and it’s just fun and no one gets mad
This is what its like with folk dances too.
😗😗😗😚
The second half of this scene is Willard losing his mind when rusty dances with another guy lol
I like how Willard didn't get upset when his friend was dancing with his girl he could tell it was just dancing
And then comes the villian to tries to forceable dance with her makes me wanna rip his head off
Yup! That’s best of a friend when you can trust them
Quite refreshing to see, to be honest.
I was worried it'd be the cliche "jealous" moment that'll sour relationships.
I didn't see Rusty dance with anybody other than Ren.
Perhaps in the movie that happened, but not this video.
This makes me want to learn how to line dance

In all honesty it's not so much learning, it's just going along with everyone else and feeling the flow of the music
i'll bet there's a youtube video about it...the rest is just gettin' on out there and movin' until it feels right.
Being in a bar like this and dancing like this is now on my bucket list
just go to nashville theres a lot of that
