In CA we do slapping leather, I think it’s the same in CO/WY, but I’ve been in GA for the past few months and this guy’s explanation is how it’s done here
I love to dance and I love music and what makes learning any dance really awful and really boring is when there is no music. The best teachers teach some moves and immediately introduce the music, then go back to teaching a little more, then music, again - otherwise it’s really dull, boring and honestly puts me to sleep. Music is what does it.
