  • Overall I'm not a big fan of biweekly mowing as I believe I hold higher value to customers who have weekly mowing and that means job/business security. Still, there are times where biweekly mowing might help you and thus merit consideration.

I have almost 100 customers, about 80 of them are bi weekly. The rest are weekly commercial properties. I charge 50 % more for bi weekly service and you're right. Once you get the equipment situation under control and the schedule filled out, it is VERY lucrative. Great video bud.

Bravo. I just started my own business here on vancouver island after working for others. My previous boss is extremly unorganized, doesnt bill clients for almost a year sometimes... he loses clients by NOT billing them... how the hell does he expect to operate? A retired senior widow on a fixed pension, who needs biweekly mowing, doesn't want to wait for a year to get a bill for $1k. Finally, he started slacking on paying me, and I said shove it. I built a box on my truck and knocked on doors. I have my ow customers now, not enough for fulltime yet, but getting there. I accept payment at the end of the day. No later than. They are always happy to do so. This is a cash in hand business.
    Great video!

💚💚💚 Awesome video! I personally don't like bi-weekly services but in my area, that's what most customers request and we charge accordingly and make a profit. If they fertilize their lawns then bi-weekly service is not an option, but as you said do what your business can afford. Great content 💚💚💚

I have never liked biweekly but I have consistently found over the years is that I may be more open to things that I'm traditionally opposed to pending on what our current workload may be when different opportunities present themselves.

Enjoy watching your content. Weekly vs biweekly service will always be debatable. As you stated, you definitely can make money either way if priced accordingly. I have my own method of madness on this subject. I personally like non-fertilized lawns on a 10 to 14 day window. May seem like a scheduling nightmare but I actually have mastered the concept over the last few years.

@@mikedaley2882 actually I really like having 10 day over biweekly and even weekly. Nice not having customers on a set day each week or every other week.

I love the prospect of biweekly mows...... apparently I low ball tf outta myself tho..... but I'm in my first year, I still work full time so it's PT mowing at best..... I need to focus on filling my schedule next year though.... and maybe reduce windshield time.... My service area ranges from Fortville to beachgrove.... Greenfield to Mooresville 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for the tips! I am going in to my 3rd season part time here in McCordsville. I have both weekly and bi weekly. I like having both for the flexibility. I do charge accordingly to make it worth it. I hope we get some snow this weekend. I have a blower that needs to make me money :) Keep on with the videos!

Great video. Most clients in my area want bi weekly. If its fertilized I am going to do it weekly regardless. If not or summer months I would like to cut it 12-15 days. The thing I do like about bi-weekly is I normally am not doing just lawn cutting but property maintenance. With weekly that type of work runs out quick but bi weekly I have more yards for that which is where I am making money.

Nothing to really require plowing. Dec 16 we got a good 2-3" but most of it had melted away by the evening. As of right now it looks that we could get slammed with snow Saturday night into Sunday but it doesnt seem that anybody just yet is really certain it's going to happen.
