Just found this video. Thank you sir
Thank you. Very helpful.
What's it made of?
I believe fiberglass and aluminum. Whatever the case it works pretty good. I keep mine in my truck and use it often.
i use exmark 30 they work great easily make 75+ an hour with it. whats best company to get like a 50 inch walk behind from
I've had several of the Toro Timemaster. I got a Toro Turfmaster this Spring and have maybe put 5 hours on it. I would say finding a mower that is sized for the average kawn size you have is best. I got another Toro 36" walk behind this year which is ideal for a majority of the lawns I service.
@ most my lawns are 10-25 minutes each. Was thinking getting a 50 inch walk behind and keep ex mark 30 on truck as well for tight gates or yards.. can easily keep using the exmark 30 but cant hurt to finish faster
I agree with you 100 percent. You can go buy two good sized gas mowers and have money left over. It’s nuts.
So true.
Thanks for this… new to the game and trying to figure it all out. Very helpful information…”Thank you”
This was the exact video I needed! Thank you soooo much!
Glad to hear that it helped you.
Outstanding Bud!!! You’re correct about a high labor rate and to an insult to injury. They keep it for 2 weeks or more!!! Good job. Having to do the same pulley fix myself tomorrow
I hope it goes well with you. When I made the video I didn't consider that so many people would end up watching in. In retrospect, I likely should have shown the repair being performed as I was doing it. I hope it goes well for you. I have a similar mower that is a 54 Fastrak, but the repair is just the same. If I end up performing the repair in it, I'll likely shoot the entire process. Good luck sir!
Look we live here. And we're not paying $20.00 per day because ppl can't understand the risk.
I feel bad for the high cost of insurance you folks have there! I hope that you folks are able to live there as long as you want!
Happened to me yesterday. Good video.
I hope you were able to get it fixed!
Just watching this . Do you still do videos
On occasion here/there I do. I go through phases.
Great video
You still make videos?
I do here and there.
Love your attitude brother , how is she treating you?
I haven't really used it like a truck. Mainly just taking my kids to soccer and running to the grocery store etc. We might have a real Winter this year and need to use the 4x4. I like it, but it's not like my 2500HDs.
Good luck to you!
You too!
I am weeding out (no pun intended) all bi-weekly customers because they are typically low value customers. I make more money on Bed Maintenance, Mulch Installs, Landscape installs and clean ups.
Yes!
helpful things to consider :D thanks!

It's my second year in business and I completely decided to stop doing biweekly mowing. It's not worth the hassle and stress.

What type of bagger kit is that?
I honestly don't know. I ordered it the same time that I ordered the lawn mower.
@ICUTGRASSLLC I know it's Sunday and we gotta be ready for tomorrow, but if you find the time to make a quick video on it that would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! and you will have a new subcriber.
Thanks for sharing it helped

I just started my lawn care business and got my first client, within the first week. Been door knocking only got 7 who were interested but didn't call back just yet, my first client is bi-weekly so it's being difficult to balance cashflow's in and cashflows out for advertisements. Gas, business cards. But I appreciate your videos for a while now.
One day at a time. It'll add up eventually.
That shirt Idea is pretty good. I could do the same with magnetic decals on my daily driver around town everyday. Cheap advertising.
It will give you new business over the course of time for sure.
Where is the SURFERPRO 34
Got it in storage. I use it on occasion.
My first thought from experience is the battery is weak.
It ended up being a bar that was hanging down and getting caught in the fan belt area
Nice!
Thanks. The sun wasn't hitting it right to show off the stripes.
I have almost 100 customers, about 80 of them are bi weekly. The rest are weekly commercial properties. I charge 50 % more for bi weekly service and you're right. Once you get the equipment situation under control and the schedule filled out, it is VERY lucrative. Great video bud.
That is outstanding!

Bought one today has .6 hours sure hope this issue has been resolved.
Love hustler have owned 8 different models old to new. The older models didn’t have issues like this and they didn’t need constant adjustments. After having a super sf in the shop more than half it’s life by 65 hours not super happy with my new job of being a part of new hustler r&d department. But again I’m a yellow fella I guess cause I bought a surfer pro today
The old Fastaks were solid! I had 2 48s and have 1 54 still that I run as a backup when my Spartan is serviced. It has 800hrs in it. My recomme nation would be to keep the engine serviced and correctly amd I wouldn't cut super tall grass with it.
This happened to me after buying one brand new on the first cut 2 min the coil broke
I'm sorry to hear it. Aggravating for sure when you consider how much is paid for a new unit for it to do that.
I've been working on this the last couple of years. Good information.
Get paid!!!
hi i purchased this mower a month ago , im on my THIRD!!! broken spring , unbelievable that hustler dont put a stronger spring.
You can get a beefed up one from Lowes. It'll be harder to put on but it'll do the trick!
@@ICUTGRASSLLC thanks
Bravo. I just started my own business here on vancouver island after working for others. My previous boss is extremly unorganized, doesnt bill clients for almost a year sometimes... he loses clients by NOT billing them... how the hell does he expect to operate? A retired senior widow on a fixed pension, who needs biweekly mowing, doesn't want to wait for a year to get a bill for $1k. Finally, he started slacking on paying me, and I said shove it. I built a box on my truck and knocked on doors. I have my ow customers now, not enough for fulltime yet, but getting there. I accept payment at the end of the day. No later than. They are always happy to do so. This is a cash in hand business. Great video!

Got into lawncare under falsehoods.from a fam member tricking me into quitting my job with promises of all new customers being sent my way cause his route overfull. Immediately changed his mind after.i bought a mower n equip n decided hed take on customers himself n I could be his employee. For a guy with one old truck i decided weekends is when im basing my work and as i fill ill leave a weekday or two open..... This way my off days will be when mechanics are open....
That is a plan!
Where did you buy the spring
I went back where I bought the mower. That said, you may try and check Lowes because they have them they are just stronger.
yo
Great video!! I subscribed as well.
Welcome aboard. Fun times!
This happened to me also, people contacting me in other states. I also noticed this for others and I inform them that FB changed their region.
Aggravating. Just don't click the button that gives FB the control to do anything 'smart'.
In after the same truck as yours & I’m with you on the $70K price, that is way too expensive! Great review! 👍🏼
Be sire to take care of it. I have had several Silverados. They are great trucks!
Thank you for the honest thoughts! Exactly the model I’m considering, side steps after market? What are they?
Some places can install them so that they automatically come in and out when you park.
Google may be better
I have heard that some have had really good responses from using Google.
Weekend advice!! Boom!! No many like working on them...but many pluses!!ty

I hope you get it!
Have you looked into Moasure for measuring your mulch jobs? I have been toying with the idea of this product. Thanks
I've seen it. I still have to walk the beds anyway, so I have kept using old fashioned geometry. I haven't used the program so I can't speak to how good it might/might not be.
Do you use premium gas or regular I have the same truck
Just regular unleaded so far. I'm right at 10,000 miles now.
That little 34” has done me well for for the small gated yards I have. It doesn’t ho faster than 6 or 7 mph which is good for that little thing. I don’t like where the fuel tank is either.
That fuel tank should be able to be replaced imo.
@@ICUTGRASSLLC agreed
Gas engine, Electric motor? Nice truck.
Reviewing from the hip... I get sidetracked sometimes for sure.
Hey there. I would love to hear any updates on the hustler surfer pro. Still liking it and recommend it? I want to get it due to the light weight over say a wright stander B.
It's better than a traditional push mower and because it's 34" it does a good job at getting through most fences. I like having it for the energy it saves and it does save me some time too. You just have to get the cutting width down so you don't rut the lawn with each pass because the rear tires will do just that. I'm not a fan of where they placed the fuel fill cap or the fact that it holds so little fuel. I personally don't believe the motor is strong enough and it rides a bit slow though still faster than a push mower. Ultimately I believe it would be fairly priced at $2500-3000. $5000 is far too much money for this mower imo. Ultimately, I do like it better than a push mower so it does its job and on a day to day basis there are usually only a couple of lawns I need to use it on. I added a bagger attachment which works well when needed for the lawns that might be very neglected.
Good idea. I take deposits for landscaping work over a certain dollar amount, some clients who I do smaller jobs for pay per time whereas some pay at end of the month. For mowing it depends on client, some prefer to pay each week others prefer once at end of month, I am good either way; ya got to know your client base, and as of yet I haven’t had any of mine try to not pay.
Taking a deposit has always been something I have added to big jobs myself. That's a good way to spot a serious customer.
