Second UA-cam Channel (non woodwork videos): / keefykeef - Навчання та стиль
Nice to see the cats getting on and living their best lives ! I think the channel had a perfect mix between DIY / non woodworking and specifically woodworking personally.
No preference on what type of content you do. You are very easy to listen to. It's quite relaxing. Thanks Keith
I appreciate that!
Completely agree
I agree too...greetings from ITALIA
100%
Chiming in here. Not only do I love your Woodworking videos, but in all honesty, I just love the content you create. I don't care much for renovation, construction videos in general. But if I may pay you a well deserved compliment? The style, or showmanship, of your videos are such that even when you share about your cat, your patio, your shed and so on... I find myself both, thoroughly entertained and informed. So thank you tremendously for what you do.
Wow, thanks!
Anything you want to video is OK by me - they are all interesting, entertaining and informative. Thanks for the info on the cats as well; as usual, they do tend to steal the show!
Always love watching your videos, the great thing about them is they are snappy, never boring with too much talking and you edit them well to boot. Always interesting whatever the subject matter and virtually everything you talk about interests me, keep up the good work Keith.
Thank you so much!
Goodness - thanks for the shout out, Keith! Genuinely touched by your very kind words. Glad you’re enjoying the projects 😊
my pleasure, look forward to seeing more content on your channel
honestly, i’ll watch just about anything! i have a wide variety of interests (i can’t be alone in this) and your content is always nicely paced, engaging and well edited. i also appreciate that you’re very down to earth and straightforward.
actually, i often have videos like yours on while i potter around cooking or doing household tasks - it feels like i’m sharing a workspace with a chatty neighbour or uncle, and it’s excellent company 😆
p.s. i do actually have one request - show more cat!
Thank you!
Looking forward to your projects and shots of the cats this year. I say this every year basically. You are definitely one of my long term favorite channels.
Wow, thank you!
I was brought up to use and reuse. Waste nothing. In my 70s now and still do it. 💙
I couldnt skip the sponsored message some supernatural force stoped my fingers xD
🤣 I filmed it just before Mickie's dinner time as I knew he wouldn't leave me alone
Well done on the track saw Keith, a sorely missed old friend of mine used to say that the art of fixing things is having the bottle to take it to bits, bugger about with it and put it back together, simples...
Thanks Keith for the mention and showing the wax, ver much appreciated pal😀👍
Pleasure, thanks for sending it over. Oh I meant to give you some feedback! Consistency is great, just right I think, doesn't add too much of an amber colour which I like, and love the smell so thumbs up from me 👍
Part of the reason I'm such a fan of Bosch tools is the availability of exploded diagrams and extensive parts lists for all their tools. Repairs are so easy.
I like your videos whether they are woodworking or DIY jobs around the house. You make us all welcome into your world with your easy going nature.
Thank you very much!
I also own the Makita plunge saw and when mine starts to stick at least I’ll know how to fix it now because of your video!
You fixed it. I love little wins like that.
Love this book! ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxpCNxqmAkyjN6NPx1fyB7QiEFWyO5mUWL it is simply one-of-a-kind! I really love it, because karah explained all tools required to have the job done, not mentioning the fabulous diy pallets ideas. I'm pretty sure this will be a fresh start in my new endeavour. Amazon was great, they delivered on time. Thank you!
Love all your content Keith. Been following your channel since your shed video. Wow! That plunge saw incident was a close shave!
Found your channel through woodwork and learned loads, grateful to watch and learn from anything else you do because you explain each stage so well. And there's cats. Happy days. Cheers.
Love the support you give to other makers! You are my favourite UA-cam fella!
Nice update Keith! Thanks for always sharing with us!💖👍😎JP
I like both your woodworking and DIY vids. It feels consistent. Don’t start tinkering with cars or anything tho! 👍
Excellent as always Keith. There are plenty of UA-camrs that have come and gone in my viewing history, but safe to say I always watch anything you put out and will continue to do so. You have a great, relatable style and being an owner of an older property too, I’ll certainly enjoy the DIY stuff! Cheers
Thank you!
Thanks for the tips on the UK channels. Both super lads 👍
Good to hear the ceiling is all resolved, I agree Robin is amazing & those jumping to the incorrect conclusion don't know anything of him if they think he would do such a thing.
Your variety of videos is good & easily accessible for those at the more basic end of knowledge (🤚), you'll always get some people here for specific areas & other viewers who wouldn't normally be here pop in for others so don't worry and keep doing what you're doing.
Cat content is always appreciated ❤️
I always enjoy your content.
I enjoy all your videos as I do a lot of diy & woodworking too and your videos are great for learning new ways of doing things. If I ever get stuck on a job I always go back through your videos first to see if you've done something that can help and more often than not it works, last summer I built a catio and your videos on the pergola helped as I had no idea on creating a roof.
Keep up the great work, your an inspiration to many people.
Thank you very much!
As ever, thanks for sharing! I had the very same problem with the 110v Mikita track saw. I only noticed it when I took it onsite, after not using it for over a year. What can I say? Once I got hold of the 36v cordless, I pretty much used it all the time. After a year in my garage workshop, I noticed the blade didn’t retract. Fortunately, this came to light when I was changing the blade to fit oak worktops, so I avoided the nasty kickback scenario you experienced.
I didn’t take it apart, but gave it a thorough cleaning, and went with the silicone spray. It’s been fine ever since. 👍
Very interesting video Keith and the cats are wonderful.
Not matter what videos you post,
I find them equally as interesting and useful too.
Great video chap 👍🏼👍🏼
Hello Keith, i enjoy all of your video content as you have very good presenting skills. You made me smile with the track saw as Andys voice was playing in my head " think maintenance Keith " . All good and as ever i look forward to Saturday mornings.
Loving @northernworks videos recently, great to see them mentioned here!
A note about the Iniu power bank. I'd recommend you make sure the lights are blinking when you plug it in to charge, or you could have a bad day.
After a dozen or so uses, I plugged one of mine in, and saw that the lights were on solid instead of blinking. I unplugged it and plugged it back in a few times, hoping to reset it or something, and just happened to touch the metal part of the USB-C plug. It was burning hot. I tried a different cable and charger, and that one got burning hot as well. A connection must be shorted within the power bank. Not great for a device with a lithium polymer battery inside.
I figured I might as well try to open it up and see if there were any obvious problems. I'll give Iniu one thing, the case is incredibly thick, strong, and well-glued. Unfortunately, I cracked it, and didn't find anything fixable once it was apart.
I love how you fixed the plunge saw. All you videos are enjoyable2
Thanks 👍
Nice one man! So great when you fix your own tools... Makes me feel like a total legend when I've managed to do so 😅 And for the times I haven't... Well...
Killer Deal, Great Saw
I had the same problem with the 110v saw same thing just lubed it up and it was OK have since replaced with 18v and not had any problems. When I'm doing any cuts I stop the blade rotating before I remove it from the track and it's a good habit to get into
My mother always says, there are 3 things that are always enjoyable to watch: water run, fire dance, and someone else working.
I really prefer wood working content, however I have bee watching all of your DIY and other videos and have enjoyed them all. Your no nonsense style is efficient and entertaining. Keep up the great content. I don't now how but missed the video where you introduced the new cat. Will look for it now. Great to see she is fitting in so well.
Cheers, yeah everyone seems to say that, and yet not so may people watch them, I can't work it out 🤔 thank you
Love all the videos DIY or Woodworking keep up the good work. 10:52
Thank you very much!
I guess it depends who watches your videos most. I'm personally old-school and use the subscription tab a lot more than the home tab. I would probably watch almost anything you put out. I really enjoy seeing long term evolution and living by proxy the ups and downs. Is that damp/mould in your store room? Looking forward to all the problem solving!
Good to know where to lube the Makita track saw. I've got one recently, I don't recall instructions about lubricating...Cat's settling in nicely I see.
Oh no! You’ll have to buy the new Milwaukee one now 😊
Surely you will be binning the makita now that Milwaukee have finally brought a plunge saw to market :)
I found Keith because of the woodworking, but I'm subscribed for the Keith, not the woodworking. Keep at it, buddy
Thank you
Nice update, pleased the ceiling is all sorted and lovely to see Hazel settled in. Just subbed today, found you via Robin Clevett, very impressed with your production quality and content - and I love cats too, can't go wrong!
Awesome! Thank you!
Great video. Leo pointed out that the appetite for woodworking builds seems to be falling but DIY, fixing and restoring lost hope furniture are gaining. Maybe you should rebrand your original street-find-on-the-way-home builds again for a new audience? I always enjoy your videos, wood, building, renovating and fixing...oh, and cats pretty much since you started. Helpful tip on tracksaw maintenance as no-one really reads the booklets to the end. Cheers, Ben.
Blimey Keith, that must have been scary with the plunge saw, I had something similar with my old "Electra" sliding mitre saw where the guard was sticking open, I nearly found out the hard way whilst retrieving some offcuts, solved it in a similar way !
I enjoyed both yours & Andy's burner videos so all good !
I thought you'd made it perfectly clear where the problem lay with the roof btw, Robin is great !
Looking forward to the store room makeover, glad to hear you're not giving up on the woodwork content though, especially as your confidence and skills have improved so much recently, whilst still being relatable ! Thanks for all your content !
Thank you!
Hope you’ve got a review of the Milwaukee Track Saw in the pipeline! Great content as usual.
Awesome stuff, Keith! 😊
About Carnauba wax, it's from Brazil and it's used as base even for automotive waxes. Pretty good stuff!
I'm happy to see your cats are friends already! When I adopted my youngest, the previously younger (which is almost 8 years old now) got freaking scared from him! 😂
He spent a whole week in the roof! Then he wouldn't enter the house, so I had to give him food outside... But the little one is a pretty bold little guy... For example, he went to sleep in my father's lap in his second or third day here... My father didn't want to look at him before! After that, he's his most loved one. 😂
So, for short... While the youngest bites the 8 years old cat, he licks him! 😂
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! And cats, always! 🖖😊
haha that's cats for you! Thank you!
Thanks for the update on Mickie and Hazel, Keith. They’re beauties.
Honestly, any excuse to film our cats! Thanks Mandy
Track saw an easy fix, unusual! I had my first ad today in the email box this morning with the Milwaukee saw for sale. Internet full of American red army reviews, will be interested in your UK take 😅
The renovation videos should be good!
I had it with my plunge saw the crap was unreal
Not sure if putting grease in some random screw holes is gonna solve any of my problems but it's duly noted😀
Thx👍
Interesting content once again Keith. Glad you're OK after your plunge saw experience. I bet you jumped out of your skin. Tony
Cheers Tony, yeah it woke me up!
Honestly Keith wouldn't matter what u put out there's few UK guys a follow on here and a don't miss single one your videos. One channel would ask u to have look at and could maybe give a plug he could do with bump up he is guy named mark at startmaking (woodworking) really down earth guy does some cool projects in his shed minimal tools very few power tools and some great how to and helpful tips and tricks. Nice to see hazel and Micky getting along and I can relate to the cats Infront the fire I've usally 3 Infront mine at night. Oh and last I wanna say thanks for all you've done you've really helped me recently I've just managed secure workshop and it's largely cause of your videos that ave managed get into this more properly well Karl's helped wee bit aswell !👍🏴👏
Very interesting as usual Keith! Look forward to the store room renovations! Hazel seems very sweet.
Thank you
Wasnt carnauba wax how they caught the Ex Presidents bank robbery gang in Point Break? Lol. Another nice vid btw loving the cat update :)
Hi Keith your problem with the tracksaw is a common one, as everyone I know with a Makita one has had this issues I did the same as you but it does stiffen up again. when I took it apart I found the pivot pin had a corrosion on it (it's blacked steel) so removed it and swapped it so a stainless steel one and it's been fine since
Thank you
Hi Gareth, was it easy to remove the pivot pin? I know how to get access to it as I currently have the same problem, but wondered if you had to use a heat gun etc. to ease it out. Also where did you get the replacement stainless one?
@@timgebutler hi tim I warmed it up with a heat gun. And pressed it out with a vice. I used a socket on one side and a pin ( slightly smaller than the pivot pin) on the other. My father had some stainless bar so I cut one the right length and pressed it in with some grease on it.
@@garethdavies1887 thanks Gareth. Have seen a few videos for this and am a bit nervous about breaking the aluminium housing.
Hi Keith. Thoroughly enjoy your videos. Very inciteful. Please could you advise where you got the green inset for the track Saw. Been looking and would like to buy from someone you support or supports you.
Thank you! www.strawbyte.com/
Where did you get the dust cord from an do they do them for the Festool plunge
I'd be curious but worried to know the air quality where I am just a couple states away from the train derailment a few weeks ago
😃 Nice vlog Keith. Great to have a quick update on everything 😁. I think you will like Leos wax. I've used it a couple of times now and its excellent (I must try your home brew and see how it compares 😆). Thanks again for the video 😁👍
Cheers Frank 👌
Nooice
You make it impossible to fast forward through the sponsors 🐈
😁👍
I’ve got the same issue with my plunge saw so I’ll try this cheers 👍🏻
Enjoy your videos, great to have something non American to watch every now and then!🤣 On a similar note do you know what's happened to Gid joiner? Hope everything is ok with him 👍🏻
Thanks. Gid has not been well unfortunately, he was in hospital a while with fluid on the lungs. He seems to be feeling better now though
I appreciate not diy and woodwork videos! Would be nice maybe to see some more technical woodwork projects after a few simpler diy projects?
are you considering getting the Milwaukee track saw?
I've had it a few weeks but can't show it in videos yet
Was expecting this weeks video to be the M18 track saw review! Are you going to get one?
I have had it for a while but I'm not able to show it yet
@@RagnBoneBrown nice, you must be so annoyed with that embargo though seeing all the US channels pumping out their videos!
Psst, don’t tell anyone. I watched the ads just because this way I could see more of Mickey.
Hi yea great video. Is mat ok This is not like him to not post a video on a Wednesday and not at all last week hope he is okay?
He is ok, he had some bad news and is taking a short break from uploading
@@RagnBoneBrown please let mat know that we are thinking about him.
Great video Keith, could you advise what tool you used for lighting your stove?
It's just a cheap blow torch 👌
I got one of those meters after your video, and surprisingly, cooking in the kitchen causes a huge spike in readings compared to my workshop and living room where the stove is.

What a vegan woodworker should do if they cut themself and some blood drips on the wood?
Vegan wax? really? Nobody is going to take my stakewax away 😁😁👍👍🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
Stop bouncing when you talk you give me
Motion sickness every video lol
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I will soon service my own plunge saw.
PTFE is a PFAS. If we are concerned about polution it might be worth while taking it out of use. See

Came for the tool fix, stayed for the kitties😁 Your DIY type videos only do 3 times better than your woodworking ones? With mine, my reviews (i don't do DIY vids) do 10 times better than the woodworking. Still decided to can the reviews and concentrate more on woodworking. workshoppy type stuff. YT isn't how I make my money though so gives me a bit of freedom to stubbornly do the opposite of what the analytics are telling me. Still, I enjoy watching you cut about getting the house in shape as much as your woodworking chap. It's all good.👍
Thank you! Really enjoyed your recent one about the staircase, that was immense!
@@RagnBoneBrown 😁Thanks Keith
