people change, music evolves. if u want the JA of 1990 then go listen to the cds but strays is an excellent example of a band growing and i like all of the songs on the cd.
I was gifted this Strays album in it's prime and for some odd reason I NEVER got the CD out of it's box until now 8 years later , currently I love this song and The "Price I Pay "
He is so awesome, the entire band is the best band that exist today, why don't people wake up? They just tell it like it is....hey is really awesome and Dave on the strings. This song rocks! Perry is so cool he even makes you a friend on facebook if you are cool.
Great track performed by a band that can cut it when they want, and I've been a critic of Jane's for some years but this version off of 'Stray's' does the job for me.
Strays is actually a great fucking album! As a musician you can actually hear that the songs on Strays have the SAME basic structure of the ones in Nothing's Shocking and a couple of songs in Ritual. Trashing this album just makes you look like a "wanna be cooler" fanboy than anyone.
What can I say?...this is so good...this is when art & entertainment meet live on stage...they just don't put up the next 'show' while being on the road...even a blind man can see, they perform straight from the heart...true artists...real muscians...no faking.
I actuallly crashed my car and my face in 2004 banging this song but the weather was very foggy and beautifully sunny..I love it cause the airbug worked just before I matched the sun....
I'm hoping with their new basist, that they play some Strays stuff on tour. seeing as avrey was kinda a stiff when it came to Strays, we've havent heard it live for a long while.
I agree - a crazy song in headphones! It's got that Aural Rainbow thing going, with all of its sonic textures. Most of the rest of "Strays" sounds too much like straighforward rock, which is okay, but Jane's is Jane's, not Buns & Hoses.
But on the other hand, there are just human: give them a break and hope, they make a record 2 times a decade, as long as they are being thereselves, they won't being ...
I agree with all of you. Janes Addiction lost a limb without Eric Avery, I never realised until I heared Strays that Eric was such an integral part of the soundscape.
@martinmiura ok wut is he suppposed talk about??? the lives of other people he doesnt even know .. try to guess wuts going in other peoples heads the greatest lyrcisists in history sing about themselves and their own views on things true artists speak from experience man not "selfishness"
@DARKAKTIONER Don't get me wrong , I'm Jane's biggest fan but let's admit it ; Perry's lyrics are kinda selfish and most egocentric always dealing with his eyes , his nose , his lovers , his family and people who love him ,... I wonder how JA would sound like with a genius singer like Mike Patton , They would have conquered the world back then ....Still I love JA but I think most credit goes to Eric Avery , David Navarro and extraordinary producer Dave Jerden
@speeze67 Eric Avery was back. The band can't stop just because Avery is a baby. Avery is a talented guy, but he has had several chances to be back with the band but all he does is cry and whine
Good lord. WTF happened. Up from the catacombs to some bizzare stripper gyrating glitter pants look at my low body fat percentage tired riff makeup in a bad way with bass player number 7 assisted by music producer who owns male fur coat and fresh set of hairplugs sponsored by coke zero. Eric Avery please come back and punch Perry in the balls for this Van Hagaresque version of Janes. Oh the humanity! Signed, God.

The best tune of the LP.
Tripping song !
Love it

all the album is magnificent

The way the bass was mixed is a crime.. such an amazing bass line on the chorus.. amazing work by chaney...
to be lucky enough to see them live.....you will remember
Still here, 17 years later having another listen.
Thanks for the video. I love this song and it's great hearing it live. For me, this is a definite classic Jane's Addiction type of song!
David J (of Bauhaus, Love and Rockets) played bass on the song "Strays" and co-wrote it. It was NOT Chaney.
True nature, and this fine track are the best off of "strays", they can be a superb outfit when they want,as past material proves.
These guys had a great sound .
you gotta love it,these guys really are awesome.
This was one of the best tunes they did live whenever I saw them at Lolapalooza on The Strays tour.
I actuallly crashed my car and my face in 2004 banging this song but the weather was very foggy and beautifully sunny..I love it cause the airbug worked just before I matched the sun....
Awsome song
So Much Vision. Perry & Dave
Perry is an icon
Gives me chills in my nethers

Perkins ripping on this banger.

Perry's girls match the songs with gritty eroticism and energy. No group fuses the combo anywhere close to this, the attitude, moves, and confidence.
Rofl.. I never noticed that until right now.
Hehe.. well he's singing to the lady in the big metal ring... I think that's his wife.
One of my favorite Jane's tunes. Was this -by chance- the Noblesville, IN-show??
@milo555a Riches is great too!
How can I search for this video? Is it an official DVD, a TV show? I have to have this in good quality.

Fleafly, did you name yourself after Flea from RHCP? :)
if you think that who is good composer for you?
I saw this tour, bitches!
he is so hot
Eh...I don't know about all THAT, but...it's pretty fuckin' good!
Yeah, everyone I know digs this album plenty, but no one knows JA.

awesome song, good set, bad camera men!!
his wife is beautiful
I'd prefer watching the chicks dance as the band plays, just a preference
That was painful to watch and I think they knew it.

This???....I mean THIS?????..jane's addiction?...don't think so...perry.....leave it while you can!
We all know Perry sucks at singing and is even a worse songwriter , Why the hell do we still Looove this band so bad ?
@milo555a Riches is great too!
