Me to man, I was like 17 or something, I was metal all the way back then, and these guys totally changed my outlook on music, really opened my mind, I was and still am a huge fan of this band!
My favorite song. My sons father would always sing this to me. He was killed in 2007. My best friend. When I play this song it touches my heart so. I can feel his presence.
okay...sor, the song is pretty fn deep...nvmd the why...LB's gotta pretty sweet cover from '01...check it. Sorry for your loss Slmmdgg. I lost mine in 911.
This song deeply resonates with the soul. I think we all have that one special individual in our lives that we would do anything for. Hats off to you Jane’s addiction.
when perry talks at the beginning it reminds me of conversations i've had with friends (or with myself) after coming down from a good trip. good memories.
I was lucky enough to see Jane's Addiction at least a dozen times in the 80's. Even back then, I felt like I was seeing something I could brag about later, like saying you saw The Velvet Underground or Led Zeppelin in concert.
There are plenty of "good" bands out today with very talented musicians. But Jane's Addiction personifies art, and that's something you can't say for alot of today's bands. Maybe it was the times when they came along, I don't know, but they were special. This was recorded after their real hey day (Flea in for Avery), but they pretty much still had it. Whatever it was. I can't put it in words.
That's the only time I can sing well. Lol. I never realized it until a drunken night out at karaoke and a friend recorded me performing. She played it under the guise of "You should here this guy's version of this song..." If it werent for fear of alcoholism I'd be a performer. If only I could sing that well on drugs... Dont do drugs... Well... dont mix your drugs at least lol.
I have seen JA twice, i wish i could say more, but only 2 times, but what an amazing sounding voice live!!! not very many people can sound this amazing live and even if you dont appreciate janes addiction, you will this song. amen.
I was at the ENIT Festival which was part of the tour in November of 1997, about a month following. It was the most memorable and amazing show with beautiful, exotic dancers and just the element in the room was unbelievable...MAGIC! Yes, many people were on drugs like most shows, but you take that away and it's still an incredible aura...of passion...ahhhhhhh...i love this song too!!! Perry is a beautiful being!!!! :)te get the music....follow and learn about the people, history..... :) peace
I wish they had gone into a studio and recorded right after this tour, I think we would have gotten some great music. This was Hard Charger era, awesome "one off" song.
I'm everybody's slave I made you my slave You said This I do for you If I would help To give the world back What it gave Then I would I would I would I would I would for you I would for you You say my eyes Are crazy eyes Sometimes they are And so are you And if you wonder What I would do I would do Anything If I could You know I would I would I would I would for you I would for you I would for you I would for you I would for you
So fucking cool! This song just resonates through your soul! The chills it produces are just amazing. If you know what I'm talking about you get it. God, I love this song!
god i love janes addiction...i love their live stuff...they always sound good...u know how other bands and people claim they sound good live?...well janes addiction is not one of thoes bands...they just are that good.
Wow. Very presumptuous. Did A Perry on some day show, all shit showered and shaved, create that idea? Once addicted. Always addicted. We learn to maintain and .... Well. U know.
My entire extended family was killed in a bus crash. 282 people off a cliff in Iowa. I played this song at their funeral. Just me, Perry, Dave and 282 caskets. Love you guys.
@frankc32 exactly I mean first verse from "oh baby i'm so tired" as I said-still love this song. in my opinion this period was one of the greatest in their career. when I saw "three days" movie, I was totally enchanted. in 2009 I saw JA (with eric) live (in poznan-poland) - for the first time and I was a little disappointed. the whole show lasted about 1h 15 min. for me too short for all those years of waiting. but I still like them. sorry for my english - its not my native language peace
"there's good music out there, you just have to look for it!" fuck anybody who says that, I've looked, nothing I've found compares even a little bit to a band like Jane's.
@bigsmooth50 I bought it from a bootlegger in New Zealand. If you do a google search using those tags, you can find his large inventory of ripped concerts. I watch the whole show often.
Jane's changed my whole musical outlook on EVERYTHING.
Me to man, I was like 17 or something, I was metal all the way back then, and these guys totally changed my outlook on music, really opened my mind, I was and still am a huge fan of this band!
Me too
My dad used to sing this around the house
Miss u dad 😔
Your dad had great taste in music!
Good taste indeed..
I was there...watching this gives me goose bumps

If only I could have been.
Why didn't you save me a seat

My favorite song. My sons father would always sing this to me. He was killed in 2007. My best friend. When I play this song it touches my heart so. I can feel his presence.

okay...sor, the song is pretty fn deep...nvmd the why...LB's gotta pretty sweet cover from '01...check it. Sorry for your loss Slmmdgg. I lost mine in 911.
slmmdgg sorry for your loss but what an awesome tribute to her.
slmmdgg .... réal good choice man! I feel your pain, stay cool. Peace & Love from me directly to you xx
Huh Ftw? Fuck the world?
I can listen to this over and over.... It's like the blood that flows in my veins
it's a truly incredible song
Perry's and Dave's performance here is absolutely amazing - Janes Addiction are so underrated 😭
how in the Hell is Jane's Addiction underrated?
@@callsignstatic6872 I don't feel like they get enough recognition - just my opinion though.
agreed
@@wafflealien this is a two-chord ballad. Not the best place to play the "underrated" card honestly...
@@mime3761 I'm talking about the band in general, not just this one song.
Damn I wish I was young again and Jane's was just flying on to my radar. Outstanding. The good ol' days for real.
definitely one of the best 2 chord songs of all time. I'm not even making fun of it. Pretty hard to make a badass song with 2 chords.
I was thinking about. It's magic. Original tune is bass with more notes and keyboard I think
Jane Says too.
Woody Guthrie said, if you use more than two chords, you’re just showing off
This song deeply resonates with the soul. I think we all have that one special individual in our lives that we would do anything for.
Hats off to you Jane’s addiction.
I love Halloween and Jane's Addiction put them together and WOW!!! what a wonderful life...one of the best live bands forevermore........
Peritz's vocals are utterly perfect for this incredible, out of this world band.
he has an adorable laugh and gives a beautiful live performance
My sons father always sang me this song. He was killed in 2007. When I hear/play this song I can feel his presence....I would for you.
I’m sorry. I hope you are doing okay
when perry talks at the beginning it reminds me of conversations i've had with friends (or with myself) after coming down from a good trip. good memories.
I can't vote your comment up... F'n youtube police
I’m listening to this every day, i can’t stop, i freaking love how perry and Dave play this song
Thankful for the show Legion.. the scene, the song... Man, that was something magical they made
I was lucky enough to see Jane's Addiction at least a dozen times in the 80's. Even back then, I felt like I was seeing something I could brag about later, like saying you saw The Velvet Underground or Led Zeppelin in concert.
dailyflash must have been special.
Right f****** on the legacy of Jane says all their music all their perception
one of their greatest songs - always moving to listen to this one, it brings me back to the late 80s

you can't learn it, you can't teach it
After their hey day but maybe their best live performance nonetheless

I don't think I've ever seen anyone that who could be that drunk and still be able to sing that great
Agree, but there is Robert Pollard who takes the fucking cake!!!!
It's amazing that two people ripped out of their face on drugs can make something sound so amazing like this
Parneideron Studios Dean Martin?
That's the only time I can sing well. Lol.
I never realized it until a drunken night out at karaoke and a friend recorded me performing. She played it under the guise of "You should here this guy's version of this song..."

I went out w/Dave when they were the house band at club SCREAM in '85. He's a very kind man.
I walked by one of the Scream locations today. Was there in 85 as well ❤ Best of times.
@@ShaneGibson-w2z That is SO cool! I bet I talked to you! (I'm wondering if on Highland or Park Plaza or DTLA)
Superb band, Perry's great...love em all, long live.....
how he can be that high and hold this whole thing together is wild…
This song is like an ethereal sound thru trees that were not there, only spirits of lost ones we choose not to forget. Thanks perry.
This is my all time favorite Jane's video! I love hearing Perry laugh at the beginning, and what a great song!
Thank you very much! I love this song!
Perry Farrell! The greatest rock and roller of all-time!

beautiful.
Siempre me han gustado más las canciones acústicas de la primera etapa. Ésta y Slow Divers mis favoritas... Bendita heroína.
Its a shame only one official live album was released. Can't wait for the boxset in '09.
In 1994 we were handed a lovely bottle of red, and later a joint from the stage by Perry in Portland Maine. Concerts sure have changed their ways...
Put this concert on Spotify please
I absolutely love this. And his laugh too...
This song represents the bottom to the depth of what love is.
Happy Halloween! love that venue, simply awesome.

Wow. Very presumptuous. Did A Perry on some day show, all shit showered and shaved, create that idea? Once addicted. Always addicted. We learn to maintain and .... Well. U know.
I am glad he shined while he was using, but it is even better that he lived to tell about it.
Rockin on the twelve string...love it !
Perry is so eccentric xD but I love it
Love this acoustic version much better than the bass one
So good
My entire extended family was killed in a bus crash. 282 people off a cliff in Iowa. I played this song at their funeral. Just me, Perry, Dave and 282 caskets. Love you guys.
Very nice Halloween is all year round for this band😎

exactly I mean first verse from "oh baby i'm so tired"
as I said-still love this song. in my opinion this period was one of the greatest in their career.
