@CheaterCool2 I mean you are a giga Chad, this is prime example of a alteerngie history buff. But in my history class, my teacher would never do that, and he would have me go to the principal for asking so many times, it is stupid😂
Kingdom of Soissons is a Modern Term as the City of Soissons didn't even existed back then, It was simply known as the Realm of Syagrius who inherited it's position from his Father Aegidius after he broke off from the Western Roman Empire following the treacherous assassination of Majorian by Ricimer.
Thank you very much, coincidentally I am currently writing about this topic for a school exam. It's nice to have a general overview over these kind of things
Great video I know that u won't make this video But i have an Suggestion What if South slavs were united By Bulgaria and that made strong South Slavic Culture and Identity That happens around 681-850 U won't make it but it will be interesting 🤔
Do a "What if the Merovingian Dynasty survived" POD is Dagobert I living longer and not being succeeded by children who would become puppets until Pepin the Short deposed Childeric III
I'd hardly call a man who massacred his ethnic kinsmen after meeting them under false pretense "the great". His treatment of the Saxons is deplorable beyond measure
@@Videntis.History a retaliation of an invasion is an invasion. He abused their trust in Germanic traditions to massacre them when they came to meet him unarmed; that is deeply dishonorable, and hardly begets an epithet like "the great"
A doubt i have, we could afirm that the Merovingians and his sucessors Caroligians have achieved a universal Christian european monarchy or was just like the EU4 achievement a big blue blob?
Ah yes, the German Franks moving into Gaul and trying to call themselves Latin French, even though Occitan is vastly closer to Latin than Cosmopolitan French, reflected in just about most parts of the language as the French government actively suppressed local languages and has nearly eliminated some of these dialects like Norman, Breton, Occitan, Niccard, Burgundian and Savoyard, etc. Yet French remains as Germanic wearing a Latin mask

Y'know what , that's a great idea , l can see an alternate scenario in which the Empires of Serbia & Bulgaria were to unite like Austria-Hungary was . I would like to see how would the south slavic languages were to evolve in such a timeline ? I can see a possibility of them being influenced more by Latin ; Greek and maybe even Hungarian , especially if the ottoman empire doesn't arise like in our own timeline , furthermore l can see this hypothetical empire replacing the Byzantine empire like how Charlemagne's Empire did to the western roman empire (if l didn't misremembered it) , and if this empire enters the lavant l can see it being influenced by Hebrew ; Aramaic & Arabic .
I liked the What if the Charlemagne Empire survived? So much that I asked my teacher to show it on the class(she said yes)!

It is actually the Latin “French” who call themselves Frankish when they mostly aren’t
German≠germanic, by that logic i can say that the germans are Danish
