Someone should make a series or a movie about the Vandal Kindgom. The thought of a Germanic tribe coming to Africa and establishing a kingdom is so fascinating
Plus the Vandals had once resided in Iberia, which they could use to their advantage and stress injustice of the Visigothic Royality in pushing them out of Iberia.
In AD 428, Hippo Regius (Annaba in modern-day Algeria) was besieged by the Vandals for 14 months. Saint Augustine, the bishop of Hippo Regius, died during this time, and in 431 the city fell, and it was reduced to ashes, all but the cathedral, which escaped, together with Saint Augustine's library.
The only reason why the Vandals even succeed was because they were at the right place at the right time during a time of instability. That's why they fell apart so easily and their rule was shakey at that
Thank you, there is no vandal content on UA-cam. I have googled this exact title so many times and there’s only like one thread on some alt history website and Quora. They’re such an interesting nation, Germanic warriors in Tunis, with a heretic religion, lording over romanized carthaginians, so cool.
Considering the prophetic nature of Nostradamus’ writings fitting with the ‘prophetic’ nature of Alternate history as a genre I really can’t seem to find a better fit that isn’t someone far too niche. I think to keep the brand consistent while maintaining the meaning of the channel name you should opt to use Nostradamus’ non Latinized name, Nostradames It doesn’t have quite as much of a ring to it but I believe it works
This is truly amazing, Mr. Nostradamus. The Vandals being allies to the Byzantines would prove significant for the Byzantine Empire, for having allied with the same military strength proved valuable and beneficial for them against the expansion of the Arabs and the Muslims. However, with the Carligoran Empire being established and Charlmenage being crowned as Holy Roman Empire by the Pope. I doubt the Caroligan Empire would hold on much longer after Charlemagne's death. With the break up of the Carolingian Empire due to infighting with Charlemagne's descendants, the Byzantines or the Vandals used this opportunity to take some territories for further expansion. I think the Vandals used the opportunity to take some domains because their kingdom became an empire and needed to expand because of the growing population. They didn't know much of Germany's history or tribes. Still, having an overpopulated new kingdom is very dangerous, which would help people fight for land. The Byzantines might focus on domestic issues and foreign affairs in the East, their prime priority. How about Mflame Stories of Our Past and Future? This channel explains what actually happened and rewriting on the alternate timeline that could shape the future of a nation's history or the world itself. Here are some enjoyable for future alternate history channels: What if Joan of Arc was rescued from those loyal to her and able to unite the French people and all of France against the English? And was made Queen of France? What would the history of France be like and what would France be like under Joan of Arc as Queen, and would there be a royal House of Arc to replace the House of Valois? What if the Hohenzollern were able to rule the Holy Roman Empire instead of the Habsburgs? Since the Hohenzollerns were elector-states to Brandenburg, they had some chance for one of the members of the Hohenzollern to become Holy Roman Emperor. So the question is, what are ways the Hohenzollerns could win the election for the emperorship, how would the HRE be under the Hohenzollern, and would the HRE remain united and possibly have united Germany in the medieval era? What if Novogord became the supreme power and could unite Russia instead of Moscovy? What are ways that could Novogord become the domain power to challenge Moscovy and able to unify all of Russia? What type of government would Russia be like under Novgorod? I know Novogord is a democratic republic that elected princes, but would there be a Tsar with Novogord being the capital of a united Russia, and is it possible for this Russia to become a constitutional monarchy with a democratic parliament? What if the Marathas under the Bhonsle Dynasty ruled the Kingdom of Mewar and unified all Indian subcontinents in the 11th century instead of the 17th century? What makes this alternate history idea more interesting is one of Chhatrapati married a Byzantine Princess from the Macedonian Dynasty by forming an alliance with the Byzantines. The questions are what would be the purpose of this alliance? How this marriage caused some reactions from both sides and views of it? Would there be a Bhonsle-Macedonian dynasty be formed with the Macedonian dynasty went extinct, and is it possible for both the Marathas and Byzantium to form a union similar to the Hanover kings ruling the Great Kingdom and Hanover that includes the Hapburgs rule Austria and Hungary? Would this be a Martha-Byzantium-Empire, Maratha-Byzantine Empire, or just the Byzantine Empire with a different dynasty, not Greece or Roman descendant, and how would it be very impactful on world history and what would the future of India be like with control of the Marathas? Sorry about the details of the ideas for the alternate history scenarios; I wanted to be more specific, not to confuse what I'm trying to ask of your opinion about these scenarios. Which are most favorite scenarios, and which ones you have never heard of before and would really want to do in the future. But this is a great video, my friend. I really love the outcome of this, and your animation is getting better. You're a man with extraordinary talents who deserves praise and recognition for your hard work in these videos; I wish I knew more of actual world history and remembered much of American history like you are. Never doubt yourself, always believe in yourself, and stay true to yourself; that is how unique you are. Always reach the stars, for your future is bright ahead of you, and your dreams are yours alone to make them a reality. Peace out, my brother, and enjoy the summer!
Would definitely love a part 2! As well as maybe how the Vandals would develop culturally, like how the Gallo-Romans and Franks Became the French, and maybe a Guess as to what they might like in the Modern Day. Also would love to see how the Frankish Ruling Britain would changes things there as well, including the cultural aspects(I'm just really fascinated by the concept of mixing two different cultures in alternate history, including all the cultural mixing the Anglo-Saxons went through in OTL). Also maybe you could do something similar for the Lombards? like the Vandals they were Arian Germanics, as you probably know, but after conquering italy they quickly fell apart. I don't know the specifics, but I heard they suffered from a Terrible king, or something along the lines of that. So I guess it would be about them having a good king and being Nician christains?
I really enjoyed the video. I think eventually the three great powers of the Carolingian Empire, The Vandal Empire, and The Byzantine Empire would fight each, but I don’t know for how long. Charlemagne’s Empire might collapse after his death and be divided by his descendants and the Holy Roman Empire might be created in this timeline. The Vandals might have problems against their southern neighbors in the future. The Byzantines might face internal problems within the Empire like historically. Or these three great powers of Europe might be the dominant forces until something catastrophic happens to them.
Great video, but I don't think Charlemagne will still take over throne in this timeline, without the Battle of Poitiers, his line wouldn't be as influential. And he certainly wouldn't be the Emperor. Charlemagne gain this title by defeating the Lombards. If the Eastern Roman Empire controls Italy, there is no chance for Charles to gain this title.
Bruh this is basically what if everything went perfectly for the Byzantines, and barely had anything to do with the Vandals. Ah yes I'm sure some Vandal assistance would've totally made the grueling Italian campaign just go over smoothly without draining the empire. Even if things went better the Byzantines would've still faced the eruption of 536 and the Justinian Plague.
Amazing video just a bummer we didn’t see more with the Muslims. Would have been interesting to see if the Byzantines had failed to dominate Persia, the Muslims conquest of Persia and Egypt and their interactions with the vandals
*"Yo Nos nice to see your back"* 👍👍 Great upload 👌👌 Can't wait for that Horn of African Adal Alternate History, What if Adal unified the horn if Africa and spread across east Africa reach coastal south africa and colonizing the great lakes 🤔🤔🤔
I think it would be more of a friendlier a Cold War. Like yeah they’re competing and there might be border scrimmages every now and again. But I don’t think there be any great wars. A part two seems fascinating. I think you’ll get a triple deadlock as I said above that is perpetual.
Hahaha true, but in this timeline my ancestors will only see it as "Huh? Oh, another germanic kingdom taking out another germanic kingdom... anyways...not big deal" And this UA-camr s'predictions might very true, Count Julian of Ceuta might still have his story be the same and ask for the closer realm for help for his revenge
You were wrong about one thing. The peoples of Italy at that time were not happy about the return of the Romans like at all because they belonged to the different branch of Christianity. In case you don't know, the relations between the Papacy and the imperial court in Constantinople were not always good. And by that, I mean most of the times. Heck, after Justinian replaced Besilarius with Narses just because he heard of the Ostrogoths were planning to make him the Caesar of the Western Roman Empire, the campaign in Italy lasted longer than it needed and that ultimately led to the destruction Rome's cultural heritages for the sake of securing the victory and the burden on the Empire's economy instead. Also, I doubted anything will happened to prevent Phocas from assassinating Emperor Maurice like in our timeline. So even if the Romans managed to take Ctesiphon, the city will most likely be retaken by Shah Khosrow II, who will still started this war with the pretext of "avenging his benefactor and his father-in-law", and then go on to seize Syria and Egypt from the Romans. But of course, Syria and Egypt will be take back under the Romans' rule once Emperor Heraclius launched the campaign to terrorize the Sassanid Iranian's heartland to compel the Shah to return those two territories to him. But here is when the different truly emerged. Just like you said, the Muslim Arabs will not be able to expand outside of the Arabian peninsula. However, that might not stop them. They might looked down south and start the expansion by sea into East Africa and and the islands such as the Maldives in the Indian Ocean instead. But if that is not the case and Shah Khosrow II still ended up being killed in a civil war later on, the Muslim Arabs will most likely exploited the political chaos and civil war within the Iranian Empire and conquer eastward instead. But hey, they might be able to do both it they can taken on both the Romans and the Iranians in our timeline. And if the circumstances are in the right for them, of course. So this Caliphate will looked very different because its westward expansion is occurring by going down south into East Africa instead. And this will eventually bring the Rashidun Caliphate into conflict with the Kingdom of Aksum later on. And feared of losing the buffer zone, the Nubian Christian Kings might allying themselves with the Negus of Aksum in order to halt the Muslim expansion as well. And for the time being, it might worked because the Muslim Arabs also coquering Iran, Central Asia and East Africa as well. This means the remnant of the Umayyad Caliphate will be relocated somewhere on the East African coasts instead when the Abbasid Revolution occurred. As for how long will this Umayyad remnant survived, it is depending on the policies that run the Caliphate. And if it s anything like the old Caliphate, then its fall is inevitable because nobody likes racial discrimination. And by the time of the Crusades and the Mongols, I have no idea what will the world looked like anymore. Also, when will you do a video about the Commonwealth of Poland and Lithuania that you promised me?
If you ever make a video about Spain and Portugal I recommend that you talk about Miguel de la Paz (he died in 1500) he was heir to the Spanish and Portuguese throne
Possible Tang Protectorate of Anxi (a fraction of eastern Persia reclaimed for exiled Sassanian princes), which is distant from the Beiting Protectorate
Interesting speculation about the conquest of Spain. Ironic that the former Iberian provinces would have been easier to occupy due to the utter destruction of urban infrastructure by the Vandals, Suebi and Avars in the early 5th century, according to a late 7th century monk who reported that the land was still strewn with the remnants of destroyed cities and farms throughout, and that only the single city built by the Visigoths offered any urban amenities.
The Visigoths were the only barbarians to had built cities in Europe between the 5th to the 9th century (If i remember well). The most famous one: Reccapolis
While your videos are always very entertaining, I often lose suspension of disbelief due to how optimistic your scenarios are. Your brand of alternate history almost has tones of low-fantasy. Maybe giving a short "plausible" scenario before diving into the fun "implausible but cool" scenario might help
that is very fair, I guess I always use the most interesting or optimistic outcome for the main people of the video. In my opinion the most extreme outcome is the most interesting and engaging, but I will try to explain the most likely outcome. I am not sure if you noticed but I said that a byzantine conquest of mesopotamia would be very unlikely and keeping it would be almost impossible, but for the videos purpose, we assumed they could conquer and hold it. I will pay more attention to how I script things to include the more realistic option, but it is hard to do that because the "realistic" option is just what actually happened. History doesn't always make sense, but I appreciate your well though critique. Thanks very much
@@Videntis.History thanks for taking the time to respond. I should emphasize that I really like your style of videos. They're different than the run-of-the-mill scenarios and that's a good thing. Your style reminds me of paradox game (ck3, hoi4, vic3) where it's not supposed to be a 100% faithful replication of history, it's supposed to be fun. And that sets you apart from some of the boring armchair historian types. Love the videos, keep up the good work!
4:50 Actually no, the majority of the Vandals and the nobles were Arian Christians (as opposed to the Nicene Byzantines) and probably didnt want Romans ruling them. Many of the Ostrogoths considered themselves the successors of Rome, but The Vandals, most likely not. Hilderic was only a Chalcedonian Emperor who gained power, And the majority of the empire did not support him, Which is why Gelimir overthrew him causing the conquest of the Vandal Empire.
What if tsar Simeon of bulgaria became eastern Roman emperor What if the French 🥖 King inherited the Kingdom of Burgundy What if the Greeks won the battle of Peta Petra What if the Anglo Saxens won the battle of Hastings What if the otoman Empire qonquerd viana
You massively over estimate how important being Arian was to the war. No, Justinian still had his restore Rome ambitions and that was by far the most important factor. However, I would admit that being Nicean could most likely stop the OTL casius belli from forming. With this in mind, Justinian will not just stop at Italy but will look to Hispania once the casius belli that got them to invade there happens. It would still give them time to cement control of Italy and have an ally to help them out, however, Nicean or not the Vandals would feel threatened by the rapid conquests when the Eastern Romans go for Hispania. Khosrow dying to Germanus is just hopeful thinking. Dealing with Italy early means Belisarius can come back earlier to deal with Khosrow and we'll get the usual border wars but not before Khosrow than loot some towns. Italy probably won't be immediately lost as Belisarius now has time to cement control but there'll probably be a few revolts due to his absence. Mesopotamia most certainly won't be conquered. And now, we'll have reached the period for Hispanian rebellion to make Justinian send Belisarius to conquer Hispania. And this invasion of Hispania is where they'll become bogged down like they were in OTL in Italy and I don't know how much the Vandals will help them given there'll be concern they'll be next so a few hundred Vandals working for the Romans at most and most of the rest of their actions would be aimed at creating a peace treaty. I really doubt this stretched Roman Empire would be able to resist the Rahsiduns but, eh. And the geo-political situation that allowed charles to claim to be roman emperor doesn't exist here so why would the same happen?.
Yeah, these are all great points and I appreciate your enthusiasm and knowledge of the topic. I probably did not make the following clear enough in the video and I will work on that in the future. I don't know exactly why Justinian declared war when he did, but I used Procopius' rational. According to Procopius, Justinian was very good friends with Hilderic, and after he was deposed and executed, he declared war on the Vandals. Hilderic was a nicene christian and very lenient to nicene, and some historians believe he may have been deposed for being too pro nicene, and pro roman. This is my rational, if the vandal were already nicene christians, having adopted the faith 150 years earlier, this situation would not have occurred. I hope that makes sense. If Hilderic was still the king, and he was allied with the byzantines, Justinian would not declare war on him, so Belisarius was sent to go to Italy instead of Africa. Hilderic sent aid and the massive increase of troops allowed justinian to quickly conquer Italy and cement Roman control over it. This allowed rome to be stronger and more stable, and in turn, they had more troops in the east. This allowed Germanus to defeat Khosrow in our timeline. This outcome is not the most realistic, but I don't think it would be impossible. If Khosrow died, Persia would have chaos, and then Justinian focused there instead of Iberia as it was more lucrative. He would send in a massive army and his best generals to conquer it, and he would spend the most of his reign cementing Roman rule over the fertile crescent. I did say in the video that it would be very unlikely for the romans to conquer the lands or keep it, but for the video, I went off the assumption that the romans retain it. The byzantine would not focus on the west further than italy as it was so far removed from roman rule, and the vandals considered it to be there backyard. If they were both allies, the romans would not go into iberia for that reason as well. If the romans kept the entire path to arabia, and were not worn out fighting the persians, it is unlikely the muslims could break through in this timeline. The last point about the franks is fair. I believe if charles martel still existed, he would have won some great battles and conquered some territory in the north, which would give his line a powerful position. When charlemagne rose up, he saw the title of the western empire was vacant, so he conquered former roman lands and claimed the vacant title. I hope that makes sense, but this is probably the least likely part of the video. I hope this clears up some of your questions, if you have anything else, I am happy to answer. Thanks for your question
Maybe a name with the same theme going as Nostradamus, Vanadius or something like that? I seem some idea's like Altera Historia and those are cool and I think they deserve a fair chance but I personally think there's a beneficial simplicity to keeping the name one word instead of something more complex, to help with the channel being recognized and remembered, Nostradamus is easier to think of and keep in your head then some two phrase name.
God I really like this video! Your historical assesment is sound compare to many out there. A lot of people dont realize the significance of Muslim expanasion to the strenght not just of the Roman Empire but to the various Christian cultures in the west. If no Muslim expansion occured, we would have seen something similar to what you said. 2 or 3 or 4 stronger christian "european" polities in the mediterrenean.
Surely Carthage was the richest city in the western world in 535, having 'appropriated' much of Mediterranean wealth during Genseric's piracy. How could Constantinople resist the urge to seek revenge and the treasury that was in turn 'reappropriated' by Venice and Vienna in turn?
Honestly this video seems more encentered on Eastern Rome, the Eastern Roman Empire after conquering Italia, Mesopotamia, Armenia and the Zagaros Moutains would have eventually crushed the Vandals regardless of them accepting the Nicene Creed or not since expetially Justinian had the dream of restoring the west
What if Grande Columbia survived? If you know enough about it could’ve started or just plainly the options it had, there are a few ways it could’ve gone. Could’ve started with the more federalized system like the US that the nations wanted, undoubtably being more stable since the individual states would still have plenty of autonomy whenever there was a disagreement, and would make it easier to integrate the other South American country’s, although it would be less developed and rely on agriculture which while a great investment at the time, they would have problems with time as they did in our timeline. While if bolivar had successfully centralized us and done his best to link up the territories and homogenize the population, long term the nation would be must more developed and cohesive along with a higher lever of industrialization compared to the rest of South America. It would take decades if not a couple generations to sufficiently do it, where I’d image there foreign policy would be to “retake” lost land like Peru and Bolivia.

I think its more "realistic" to think that the muslims would attack both Mesopotamia and Syria and the Byz would have to focus on defending Syria + revolts in Mesopotamia would mean the Muslims would push through the east and beyond.
The vandals and carolingians may have worked together more than with the eastern romans due to a shared germanic heritage, but honestly, the opposite could be said if the grace schism still happens and the vandals stay orthodox while the Carolingians become i guess "Achen Catholic"
vandals: are different type of christian videntis: yeah so the byzantines cross the zagros mountains and conquer half of persia like its nothing ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ I think you have great ideas, but you make the subjects of your videos waaay more successful than is realistic. they might have pushed back the persians, but they would be immediately overstretched if they take much land, especially considering they just annexed all of Italy and illyria, and there would be revolts.
I addressed the Vandal Arianism at the start of the video, and I also said that it would be unlikely for the byzantines to take that much land from Persia
@@Videntis.History i also don't think so. Being Arian is what sealed their doom, they would need an early edict of conversion like Recaredus in Visigothic Hispania
I dont think that there would be a Carolingian Empire at all, at least not in the same way we know it. The main reason is that in this scenario the Pope would not be anymore surrounded by barbarian tribes and forced to enter into political games, using religion as a weapon of influence. The Pope would be another patriarch and there would be no Schism in the church, since that was the result of the combined political ambition of the Pope and the Germanic warlords that tried to control him. In this scenario, Europe remains Orthodox and the ones who are not are consedered heretics. I have to add though that the Vandal-Eastern Roman relations would probably collapse over the issue of Sicily. There is no way that the Romans would simply back off from one of the core regions of the Greco-Roman culture. I can see them letting Mauritania go if that secured stability and a strong alliance with the Vandals. But Sicily never. It would always be in the list and at the first chance they would step in.
Hard to say if there even are lombards and if they are around in this time line, would the Byzantines be able to defeat them, if not, the alternate timeline about that tribe might be very similar to ours. True, Sicily might be the core battlefields, like during the Punic Wars between African Vandals and Byzantines. By then the Vandal fleet would be equivalent to Venice during most of its existence and a defeat towards the muslims, they will certainly hold in Malta, or Sicily if they loose Carthage, but their fleet will protect them from any arab navy
byzantine would fight vandal empire since it wanted to reunited rome so im guessing the rashidun caliphate would take this chance and take over the byzantine and vandal empire since they have one of the greatest general khaild ibn al walid.
Even If this Happened The Eastern Romans would be the strongest of the Three Great Powers of Europe, While the Franks would be the weakest due to the Wealth Disparity between their Territories.
I don't think the Franks this timeline would claim to be a successor to Western Rome since the Pope would be much weaker politically due to stronger Eastern Roman Influence.
I don’t know if this idea will get a lot of likes, but given that you are writing your own history maybe the name should focus on that specifically, rather than Nostradamus who was more known for his ‘prophecies’. Perhaps a more fitting name would be something pulled from the Annals of History itself, say the Mouseion of Alexandria. You know, for all that history that was lost when the library was burned.

Peace out, my brother, and enjoy the summer!
thanks benjamin
If the Eastern Roman Empire controls Italy, there is no chance for Charles to gain this title.
yeah thats probably true
Bruh this is basically what if everything went perfectly for the Byzantines, and barely had anything to do with the Vandals. Ah yes I'm sure some Vandal assistance would've totally made the grueling Italian campaign just go over smoothly without draining the empire. Even if things went better the Byzantines would've still faced the eruption of 536 and the Justinian Plague.
6;30 The Varagian Guard wouldnt exist untill the reign of the Basil II.

What if Majorian saved the western roman empire?
Amazing video just a bummer we didn’t see more with the Muslims. Would have been interesting to see if the Byzantines had failed to dominate Persia, the Muslims conquest of Persia and Egypt and their interactions with the vandals

Can't wait for that Horn of African Adal Alternate History, What if Adal unified the horn if Africa and spread across east Africa reach coastal south africa and colonizing the great lakes 🤔🤔🤔
I think it would be more of a friendlier a Cold War. Like yeah they’re competing and there might be border scrimmages every now and again. But I don’t think there be any great wars.
A part two seems fascinating. I think you’ll get a triple deadlock as I said above that is perpetual.
it is the fate of spaniards to be conquered by the green nation to their south.
Hahaha true, but in this timeline my ancestors will only see it as "Huh? Oh, another germanic kingdom taking out another germanic kingdom... anyways...not big deal"
And this UA-camr s'predictions might very true, Count Julian of Ceuta might still have his story be the same and ask for the closer realm for help for his revenge
Make a part 2 for this
The break up of the carolingian Empire would be interesting. As the Middle Kingdom or Burgundy would be bigger

Sugestion. If the name gotta chage, change it to "Marenostrum". It sounds cool and it's not claimed as far as I know.
What if the Komnenian restoration was completed? The most obvious point of departure is the Romans winning the battle of myriokephalon
"Romans" you mean Greek larpers
I as an Italian am Roman not them.
We wouldn't have had islam outside of Arabia if only vandals would become Nicean?

If you ever make a video about Spain and Portugal I recommend that you talk about Miguel de la Paz (he died in 1500) he was heir to the Spanish and Portuguese throne
What if the Tang Dynasty won the Battle of the Talas river?
@@saguntum-iberian-greekkons7014 Ostrogoths also built cities under Theodosius, the first official king of Italy was an Ostrogoth.
ah yes, I love your alternate histories!
Please Do an "What if Egypt beat the Ottomans"

While your videos are always very entertaining, I often lose suspension of disbelief due to how optimistic your scenarios are. Your brand of alternate history almost has tones of low-fantasy. Maybe giving a short "plausible" scenario before diving into the fun "implausible but cool" scenario might help
e.g. the 2 sentence hand-waving explanation for the reconquest of Armenia kind of threw me off
that is very fair, I guess I always use the most interesting or optimistic outcome for the main people of the video.
What if tsar Simeon of bulgaria became eastern Roman emperor
What if the French 🥖 King inherited the Kingdom of Burgundy

I hope you liked it
You massively over estimate how important being Arian was to the war.
This video was amazing, loved it
Thanks so much
I wanna see how this turns out since the mongols are not far away
Can you create something like what if Atilla destroyed Constantinople and his empire last longer?
whoever your favorite historic figure of all time can be a potential name

Let’s be real all of them would turn on eachother 😭
Yeah definitely
what if the visigothic kingdom survived
This is like the the war of the three kingdoms in China. I expect it to play out the same I just don’t know who would win.
If the three Christian Powers have any sense they would work together and even have marital alliances to keep the peasce in the West.

So Hispania would had still become VANDALIA?

I think you have great ideas, but you make the subjects of your videos waaay more successful than is realistic.
they might have pushed back the persians, but they would be immediately overstretched if they take much land, especially considering they just annexed all of Italy and illyria, and there would be revolts.
I addressed the Vandal Arianism at the start of the video, and I also said that it would be unlikely for the byzantines to take that much land from Persia

What would vandalism be called in this timeline?
Nah, they should have remained Arrian. They could still beat the Bizantines.

It’s a trap. It’s not about the Vandals it’s about the eastern Romans.
By then the Vandal fleet would be equivalent to Venice during most of its existence and a defeat towards the muslims, they will certainly hold in Malta, or Sicily if they loose Carthage, but their fleet will protect them from any arab navy
carthage at home fr
Videntis is a good name btw.

The Byzantine Empire has Roman allies, such as HHDN and the Vandals, have richly preserved Roman history, historically this is correct
byzantine would fight vandal empire since it wanted to reunited rome so im guessing the rashidun caliphate would take this chance and take over the byzantine and vandal empire since they have one of the greatest general khaild ibn al walid.
