These exclusive licenses with clubs are the worst thing that happened to soccer/football video games. Regardless of what game you get you are not getting a full game. It’s a bad experience for fans.
2k wouldn't really mind to much their community creations bit basically will sort it out given time. PES did it through mods aswell it relies on the community but it's a good way around it
I think it you can blame it also on the football associations and the footbal clubs to sell their rights exclusifly to one game.
Konami can burn in hell took names and stadiums from ea just to never have a career mode.

2k needs to focus on the international side of football. With EA lacking international teams, this is 2k’s chance to capitalize on that. Adding World Cup qualifiers, continental tournaments with fully licensed, getting some countries actual stadiums etc. Licensed World Cup. That could be their way of competing, imagine adding all the south and Central American countries that EA doesn’t have and now those fans can play them in 2k. African and Asian countries too.
2k also has a ‘My Park’ in their NBA games which allows players to play 1v1, 3v3, 5v5 online and customize their players, it’s like a GTA open world lol. Imagine 2k does this for their online FIFA 2k and you can play with your friends online 5 a side, futsal, indoor, 7v7 etc.
2k can compete without many licenses, they also got their 2k creations which is basically modding in the game. It’s a thing in the NBA games.
I never understood why EA couldn't just add all the national teams and tournaments like you mentionned when they had the FIFA licence. I think they really underestimated the impact of international football
Would love it if another game has the Philippines, so far... Only RWTC 98 and FIFA 14 has the team but having the Rizal Stadium be in a game will be a whole new level.

@@שלמה-נ1ח it's weird cause I've heard that since they lost the fifa rights they had to re-negotiate the rights with every individual national teams. And they've lost a few because of that this year. So, I thought that they had the right to add them all if they wanted to. Maybe there's something i'm missing or what I heard was wrong
TBH FIFA will give national teams licenses and almost all international tournaments. the whole CONMEBOL leagues are available except Argentina. CONCACAF, AFC and Asian leagues are all available. For Mycareer modes are going to be way better then EA ever did. yes they have transaction but it will allow for EA and 2K to compete for better play

There is no PES, you'd think people would learn this years in but no, they deleted PES
If FIFA 2K doesn't have 180+ national teams in their World Cup mode, by 2026 then that's another boring game mode. If I wanted to play the World Cup, we got to start from qualification games where we can discover lots of team and players we probably never heard about and lots more game to play with in one single event. Heck if you want to lead your national team to the World Cup you can do that even if you decide to play as Philippines, Indonesia, Solomon Islands, Laos, Bermuda or Rwanda, all that will be possible. The last game did this was FIFA 14.
2k’s edit mode is the best in any sports game by a mile, you can simulate fully loaded rosters from the 1970s 80s and 90s created by fans with faces and animations
Funny because this only happens in Football, but if you see racing games, you don’t see Need For Speed, Forza Horizon & Dirt 5 arguing for Car Licences. Everyone just pays it and uses it.
its different issue as u see ea has exclusive deals so even if you have the money you wouldnt be able to get the team

Blame ea for it. They are ones putting the leagues muat be exclusive to them in contacts. I am sure the leagues would prefer to take money from multiple gaming companies for the usage of names.
All these exclusivity deals are ruining ALL fútbol video games. It makes the one with the most licenses the main monopoly and makes shitte games, and makes the rest shitte games with out original teams. ALL SHITTE !!!!!!!!!!
Exclusive liscenses are the bane of the sports gaming world. They allowed CEO's to destroy it by blocking competition. We need to find a way to get our reapective governments to ban exclusive liscenses.
Community creation will be solution to that problem

Regarding licenses! Some stuff that he said in the video as well.
I know that EA have paid a lot of cash to the english football league so that Premier League will always be exclusive to EA or at least for many, many years. Now the spanish 1st league is called LaLiga EA Sports I think, they also have exclusive contract with Juventus in Italy for the club and the stadium. So I think that having the FIFA name/license doesn't get you access to real football clubs names, badges, stadiums as well as domestic competitions (each league from whatever country, national cups, supercups) and continental cups/competitions such as UEFA club competitions (Champions League, Europa League, UEFA SuperCup), the Champions League versipn of South America etc, etc. Game developers and publishers have to speak to each league representatives to pay for each license individually. EA has secured a deal for a few years with UEFA for our beloved Champions League its related european competitions that are below it. That's why PES (eFootball) didn't had almost any real clubs and domestic leagues, cups even when they had the contracts with UEFA for the Champions League. You need to sign deals with each league, team so that you can have it in the football game. In some countries if you pay for the league you get all the teams and stuff but in some other countries if you pay for the league you can't get all teams licensed - look in Italy - EA paid for the italian league and they have the badge, the original trophy, italian cup, supercup but I few teams are not licensed in EA Sports' game (AS Roma or Napoli for example) but they are in PES (eFootball) even if PES doesn't have the italian championship licensed. In the end I think that it all depends on the rules of those football leagues how there rules and contracts work in terms of buying the rights for the competition and cups to be used in video games/movies etc.

Exclusive rights needs to be banned. But I don't think that's gonna happen. I think that 2K will have better gameplay than EA with a footie.

I wouldn't worry about that really. All i want is a game i can enjoy. Both efootball and EAFC are trash. The licenses do little difference really when you can't even enjoy the gameplay.
Ea doesn't hold licenses for African leagues so fifa can create a market for themselves by creating teams for Africa and secure a fan base there I for one have always wanted to play afcon on console or PC but old fifa didn't have that option only a few club teams here and there and sometimes they can not be included in later fifa versions
They can also get the leagues that EA and Konami doesn't have licensing in, the Greek, Swiss, Turkish, Portugal, Serbia, Russia, Ukraine, Austrian, Dutch, Croatian, Czech, African, US League (not the MLS) and try getting team not yet touched in Ligue 1 and Scotland.
Also keep in mind they can add an option file feature. My thing is take the L then once those contracts start to expire, go for it.
@@br82186 that can work but am guessing ea has a work around they can deploy when they have to sign a new licensing deal like signing a new licensing deal 2 months before the current one expires then when that one expires they announce a new deal has been signed. It recks of monopolistic tendencies ea can't have all the rights especially since there's more than one company making football simulator games. Let's say as an example It's like me making a game around Egyptian Pyramids and culture and then I sign a deal with Egyptian authorities that only i can use their images, names and likeness exclusively therefore making sure only i can have access to make content with said materials
Give it time as 2K can financially compete with EA especially if Take Two increases the budget on the licenses.
It would take years to build up a game to be even close to what EA has even with 2k's money. At most this will be a mobile game to go witht he World Cup. People are total fools to think this is an imediate threat to EA.
An unlicensed game is just ugly when you play career mode a lot you can’t mod on consoles so I don’t think that this game is going to succeed so I’ll be sticking with EA
Well.. if they do a mod thing they'll need to make sure it can carry to the online game. That and giving console players easy access to install mods.
They definitely need new clothes for the managers in career mode even if its just tracksuits with the team logos on it something new
Dont really care ablut the licenses. If they allow mods and actually have a good game i will buy it.
I hope FIFA 2K becomes what PES used to be so we can edit teams and kits.

Honestly hope they don’t take any more licenses from other games & just have everything generic but with a perfect creation centre/ edit mode. Unlimited customisation is what could make this game offer something different
When i got fifa 19 i thought that in the future fifa will be a fully licensed game with more teams, tournaments and players🙁 but we are only losing teams and losing tournaments😢😢
Why get exclusive licenses when you can just negotiate a price withe every game dev and make tons of cash yearly
My worry is not licensing at all, it’s the gameplay. If gameplay is amazing and realistic, no one will care.
We can still have hope if 2K add a customization menu with users uploads, etc. Will be the smartest move
If fifa game has community creation like other 2k games it be easy to download all the real names.
The only way it works is a very good edit mode out of the box with a custom package store in the game.
I like fifa just for Tournament mode and for creating players to put in the modes

2k has a great team builder/team swap they also have a great community download center in 2k nba and u can swap those teams out in career mode for example there was a team called Seattle super sonics they moved and changed to okc thunder well u can swap out the uniform arena etc to basically make it Seattle super sonics also they have roster editors
