If there’s too much throw on a surface, I would make sure the linkage is in the outer hole on the control horn and move the linkage in on the servo arm instead of reducing the travel in my transmitter.
My favourite looking and sounding jet in my hanger. Handling I'd say its in the top 3. Behind my F22 & L39. No need for tailerons. It rolls fast enough so save not getting the 8ch rx. Either replace the esc for a 120A hobbywing or repalce the edf with a 2000kv. The stock 2200kv us hard on the Amps and cooks the 100A esc. Its down on thrust and speed on say the L39 and Futura. I run mine on 7s with the 2000kv edf. It handles the lipos size well.
What a beautiful model! Thanks brother man! It's sounds great and the geometry on those retracts look so real and complicated! The work you put into the cameras was not missed! Thanks again
Just maidened mine today, 20mph wind and gusty so no ideal conditions. Pushed a 4500 lipo all the way back so it rotates quicker on our short runway (grass). I found it a bit sluggish on the elevator so have increased the rates, I also mixed in tailerons for the first flight and roll rate is incredible. I did find the plane a bit slow even at full throttle, maybe its just the conditions today so will try again when weather improves. Good flight time on the 4500 battery when throttle management employed. On testing again found one elevator servo and both aileron servos very lethargic and will need to replace them, maybe they don't like the cold weather we're having here. It lands fine but needed to keep the power on all the way down.
Awesome plane! Great videos too mate. Love the way you present, film and edit your vids. Very clear filming and great audio. Too many rc youtubers put music behind thier flights and you can't hear what the plane sounds like properly. I wanna hear these jets! This one sounds awesome too. Nice work 👌
That is great design. The lining is well designed as is the lubricating fluid between the lining & the heart. Could not possibly come about through random, unintelligent & undirected evolution. Wonderful design from a wonderful designer & designer & creator.
I love mine! One of my favorites in the hangar. Such a smooth flying plane! In regards to the gear, I found that if you power the plane on with the gear in the down position you have to cycle the gear otherwise it won't retract properly. I also run Flapperons but have been want to do tailerons with the flaps as well, just need to get an 8360 because I'm currently running a ar630 at the moment. I had tried the thrust reverse function on this plane before but I found it to not be effective enough so I ditched it. On a stand still it didn't even want to back the plane up. Awesome plane though! I'll definitely be doing the tailerons in the near future!
I would say the Habu SS is much easier to fly than this. This jet flies a bit like the eflite f18 to me and requires a bit more attention when landing.
With the larger packs I was using, yes. However, if you use a smaller capacity, there will be more wiggle room for moving the cg around by moving the battery around.
Awesome! Sounds very much like a turbine. I think the 4s version flies really well, even in high wind so the T-7 must just be a good air frame design. Hopefully someone will have one at Jet jam this year -:)
This one definitely requires some experience. My dad’s Sabre is a great choice, but my go to for a first jet recommendation these days is the eflite viper jet.
I suspected that might be the case as it appeared you had to fly right in. Well done, btw. I was hoping it would be a bit more like the BAE Hawk in its characteristics as there are some similarities in the airframe. Thanks again Chris Bob
Hey Chris! Any way you could start indicating how the model, you review, handles on grass. It would be greatly appreciated. Most of the clubs, in my area, are grass fields. Thank you!
I’ll do my best. The challenge is that we don’t have an area to operate from grass effectively at the field. The strip next to the runway isn’t wide enough.
So this handles quite differently to the hawk. The hawk flies really nicely on the wing where this is more of a thrust flyer and is not as slippery. I’d say the hawk lands a bit easier too.
Since the AIL>LEL mix is in the transmitter, I would say no. I don't think the gyro will know about the mix. The ailerons will have AS3X as well the elevator function of the flying stabs. However, I don't think you'll notice not having AS3X for the roll function of the flying stabs.
The hawk is an easier airplane to fly in rc imo as it’s a bit more user friendly a configuration. This one is kind of a mix between the eflite f16 and f18.
@@Thercgeek thanks! I have the Hawk and love it. Never flew the F-16, but have flown the FMS and Freewing F-18s. Just wondering if it was putting the T-7 in the collection.
Basically out of the box and set by the instructions, this plane won't fly like it should, it needs special programming in order to fly like it should ,ok so this Basically sucks Two Bros changed out servos and did some cutting and custom programming to get it to fly well enough, This is a hard pass for me if it cant be setup per instructions and fly good than Im not interested, money doesn't grow on trees , thanks 👍
Well, I guess it goes back to what your expectations are. I personally really like how the model flies and it’s all stock with the exception of the programming I did to help slow it down on landings. It flies really nice and scale and you need to fly it like you’re in it. However, if you’re wanting a 3d flyer which is the two bros MO, then yeah, this is not it.
It’s all about tire size for grass ops and the bigger the better. Scale jets almost always have small tires since they’re small on the full scale. So, grass ops can be quite challenging as a result, depending on the jet.
If there’s too much throw on a surface, I would make sure the linkage is in the outer hole on the control horn and move the linkage in on the servo arm instead of reducing the travel in my transmitter.
Thanks for sharing, very detailed!
Glad it was helpful!

If you haven’t already, be sure to calibrate the esc. That’ll ensure you’re getting the full range of throttle.
I love mine for sure, I run FrSky and my setup outside of rates and expo are about the same. Nice review and flight video Chris. 💪

Excellent review and beautifully flown - that plane looks and sounds great 👍🏻
Thanks a lot!
Great sound! Looks better in the air.
What a sharp-looking EDF Jet! I must buy one!
Another great overview, flight, and detailed walk through for programming!
Thank you!
Great review! My flex F-100 requires you to cycle the gear before flight. So it must be something to do with the sequencer.
That is great design. The lining is well designed as is the lubricating fluid between the lining & the heart. Could not possibly come about through random, unintelligent & undirected evolution. Wonderful design from a wonderful designer & designer & creator.
Great review, I may have to try one of these!

Yeah, the rev thrust isn’t super effective, but I found it to be good enough to keep me from running off the runway. 😆
Hey Chris, would you say this is as easy to fly as the Habu SS?
I would say the Habu SS is much easier to fly than this. This jet flies a bit like the eflite f18 to me and requires a bit more attention when landing.
Awesome jet !!!
Great explanation
Very interesting, and attractive new EDF. How would you compare this T-7A 80mm to the FMS BAE (British Aerospace Engineering) Hawk 80mm?
So it has a forward biased cg even with battery pushed all the way back ? Great video!!!!
With the larger packs I was using, yes. However, if you use a smaller capacity, there will be more wiggle room for moving the cg around by moving the battery around.

It does sound really good. I was thinking I’d bring this one with me this year to jet jam.
Good Morning Chris, Heard you say it's a trainer of Boeing s, would you recommend it as a first jet or still your dad's sabre?
This one definitely requires some experience. My dad’s Sabre is a great choice, but my go to for a first jet recommendation these days is the eflite viper jet.
@@Thercgeek thank You.
That nose section front of canopy on the you just did the review on, to me looks to like the Ardvark F-111
cool rc video😍
Great video. Still having issues programming mine like this though. Using a 6-channel. Thinking I need a 8?
Yeah, in order to take advantage of the taileron and flaperon setup, you need at least 8 channels.
Thank you so much for the reply. I remember using an 8 channel for the Gripen to have the canards to work with the Elevons. Thank you again RC G🤘🏽
Chris what are the glide characteristics like .
It’s not one that’s going to have a great glide ratio. It’s kind of a draggy airframe just based on the configuration of it.
I suspected that might be the case as it appeared you had to fly right in. Well done, btw.
I was hoping it would be a bit more like the BAE Hawk in its characteristics as there are some similarities in the airframe.
Thanks again Chris

Absolutely beautiful and looks similar to a F/A-18. How does this handle in comparison to your FMS BAE Hawk 80mm?

@@Thercgeek Darn! Now it's that time when you just have to rationalize, not having BOTH would not be prudent.
In the speed department, who takes the checkered flag?
Nice jet but can't wait to see that T28 in the air. What engine are you going to run in it?
I have a saito fg-60 3cylinder radial for the Trojan. 😊
I like this airplane! looks like an F-18 and F-16 and a YAK-130 had a love child! 😄
You’re not wrong 😆
How does the reverse thrust work??
It’s all handled through the esc. I show how to set it up in the programming segment of the video.
Great review Chris. One question: with your setup does the AS3X work on the Tailerons?
Thanks.
Yeah, it should. All of the configuration in the radio was programmed first before setting up the AS3X, so it’s taking into account the configuration.
Since the AIL>LEL mix is in the transmitter, I would say no. I don't think the gyro will know about the mix. The ailerons will have AS3X as well the elevator function of the flying stabs. However, I don't think you'll notice not having AS3X for the roll function of the flying stabs.
How does it compare the FMS BAE Hawk, being that they are both trainers? Would this rank up there with the Hawk?

Ouch! 😢
it's going to replace the T-38 Talon
Yep! I do find the Talon a bit sexier a design though. 😉

Never use these kind of planes at grass, Their little wheels will stuck every time.
