Most people unbox and fly… well, I unboxed and started modifying because, I just can't help myself. 🤣 Grab a copy of my NEW Painting & Finishing Book HERE! ► bit.ly/TRCGBook
This showcases what I love about you, Chris. “I just bought a new foam jet…it flies great……..time to rip it apart, gut it, replace this, modify that and really make it a show stopper!” Great video as always. Love your content
I found you can take any spring heat it up with a propane torch stretch it out where ever you need it cut it of and bends easy when hot to make a hook or loop.
Amazing finish rework ! Every time I think I have figured it all out , though your videos, I learn more. Of course the books are also amazing, which I reference often. Can't wait for the next video, and to see it fly! Keep up the good work! Bob.
Great video ❤. Some of your solutions are brilliant, I tend to over think things and produce a mess !. Thanks for showing us this process Chris . Awesome ! .
As an old newbie learning all the new materials, accessories, everything I guess it would be nice to hear what products or types of products your using and where like what seems to be a fairing compound of sorts, could you share that with us ?
Awesome mods mate, love it..... do you think the additional flaps connected to the original flaps will withstand the wind forces and not just bend back. That would be my concern and I hope I am wrong...... love the tinkering and thought put into this model and I am sure it will fly great...... cheers from down under
Nice work Chris, thanks for letting us see the install of the 3d parts and who makes them. Wow at that cockpit n canopy!! The inlet duct is a curious thing indeed, the info as well. I'll be looking for the paint video. Dueling Panthers :), going be interesting to see what Brent does with his. Good stuff Chris, AirHammer out!!
Love early jets, and the Panther is my favorite. Been waiting a long time for a quality EDF foamy and here it is! Great job Chris. I guess you really jumped into 3d printing and such. I still don't know anything about that tech, but I guess it's another game changer in the hobby tat a lot of folks have got into.
Great work as always! Also, and sorry if you’ve answered this before somewhere else, where did you get that block of foam to build on? I would love to get one!
Believe it or not when was a kid in the early 60's we had a real F9F mounted in the playground. I remember crawling around all over that thing. This was in Port Hue ne me California. My dad was stationed there. 60's safety for kids nonexistent LOL
0910 the amount/type of edf noise, later on, will tell us if this opinion was correct. 1320 you DON'T really want to make more lift near an aircraft's center line. because, as when flaps are deployed, doing so (partially) un-loads the ailerons.!
Well, I can tell you from direct experience the body flaps work incredibly well on the panther. I had a big one that I put body flaps on and it was one of the nicest landing jets I’ve ever flown.

Haha, that’s a pretty good summary of my process! 😆

Hobby it up man. Looks great
Yeah man, thanks!
so nice ! 'Briges at Toko-Ri ' ...Panther is a favorite 😎👍👍.

Great work with all the scale detail. I have one concern, why soften the main gear when adding so much weight?
To get the correct gear stance. The springs were super stiff and I wanted it to sit nose high on the ground like the real one. 😊
OUTSTANDING JOB……😎
Thanks so much!
Looks great Chris! Just one question, where's the lights? Thanks!
😆 no lights on this one.

That’s awesome. I remember a park somewhere near my house that had a cougar we could climb all over. Was pretty great.
COOL!!
Nice work Chris, but where can I get the new Canopy ? Thanks !
Good question! That is up to @hechtspeed as he made it.
Very cool. 👍
Thanks for all of the tips. What kind of tape did you use on the canopy? Specifically the orange colored tape. Is that tape brand INDAUSA?
That is vinyl fine line tape I bought from Amazon. Works pretty well. amzn.to/3Et10cZ

So you didn’t remove the decals?
Just the peel and sticks, not the water slides. Not worth the time lifting those up.
Like explaining as you go?
