That cold air intake is actually a warm/hot air intake where it is installed underhood only warm air. The factory airbox has a short snorkle that gets cooler air as you are driving from just behind the grill.
@@e-man1432 I got 270K out of the 4l60e so I'm getting a rebuilt transmission put in today and I have promised myself not to go over 5000 rpm. hahaha. That torque is just too strong for the 4l60e on the 3-4 clutch pack - the springs can handle the centrifugal cavitation of the fluid.

What if I keep the resonator do a muffler swap and add the cold air intake also with a chip an straight piped how would you think it would sound? That what I have in mind
@@kadariusroberson3493 if you're going to straight pipe it. I would take the resonator off. The resonator is literally there to make it quiet. I have old muffler still. I want to change it but even just with the new cat and resonator off it sounds good. Plan on doing muffler just have been busy.. if you cut off resonator just buy exhaust tip around same length.
@@blazercriz2115Kinda of and old comment but I have an 03 and that box has 2 different vacuum lines coming off of it one for your exhaust gas recirculation or (EGR) system and a vacuum line with your fuel system So unless you find a different source of vaccum it's fine the way it is You might not have the car still but I'd thought I'd mention that
I wanna build a mid engine celica supra eith a double ac pump to build a chiller box under the front hood....maybe a electric turbo with a hot air converter so i get max air chillness and build a huge cold air intke up front...idc if it has parasitic loss im twin charging with an ammonia methanol injection also a head chiller and oil chiller

Stock cat is on. It was a resonator delete and muffler swap

its not worth the money cus the diff is slightly noticeable

So I did a Resonator delete, and changed the muffler out for the Flowmaster Super 10

You need to delete that air box in between the k&n filter in the throttle body with a piece of three and a quarter inch pipe

I got it from the k&n website. I had a friend that gave me a temporary discount code. Unfortunately he doesn’t work for k&n anymore.

I think either 2005 or 2006 and up could rev past 3000 in the park or neutral.

It makes a lot of noise but its good for keeping you up at night. Its hard to hear conversations sometimes
