Incredible lifting....just ridiculous I also just love the raw enthusiasm of the Australian compere! He's on the CAPO vid and a few other big powerlifting comps and he just makes it so much more entertaining leaping around like a nutter :-D
Awesome guy! Humble, respectable, and extreme strength. Couldn't happen to a better guy. Anyone know where you can get motivational posters of D.Green in action???
I agree! He actually competed a good while at Olympic weightlifting before coming into powerlifting so that was a solid foundation for his squat depth and speed. If you look at the weightlifters explosion out of the hole its some what of a trick they do more momentum more weight. Sorry if you knew all of this just trying to pass the info on. Cheers.
everyone saying that this isn't a world record, it is a raw record, without the use of hear like a bench shirt, squat suit, ect. This is the current raw world record at
Matt Kroc's record is an equipped total where he can wear a suit that adds lbs to his lifts. Dan Green's record is a "raw w/ wraps" record where he only gets to wear a belt and some knee wraps.
Jeff Conrey You are obviously the "adult"-party here. Who cares what federation he lifts for, he still got beaten by Dovganyuk Vadym in the World Championships in Stavanger november 4th this year. He lifted a total of 1050,5, and a new world record in the same weight class. Even number 2 and 3 in the same event lifted more... So therefore my initial response stands.
Thanks for uploading this I bet Dan was popular in Australia and rightfully so what a awesome lifter I see his wife made it there too.
Its always better to be strong than to just look strong. Dan Green is one of the few who looks like a beast and also lifts like one

I know it's 5 years later now but that's Adam Coe. He's a legend of Australian powerlifting and totalled 960kg @ 100kg in early 90s single ply gear.
Excellent reflex on the squat.
Absolutely incredible performance Dan.

Found my goals!
Damn...wish i could be the next Dan Green one day
boss mode
what were the red lights for?
Fucking beast!
Because that guy isn't a 242 pounder and lifts in gear.
The norwegian still has a bigger total. King of the North.
How is this a world record if Matt Kroc has a 2551 total in the same weight class

Ah, I see
Thanks for clearing that up and the kind explanation :)
342.5 is 755 not 775
Thanks for that mate. Sorry, I'm Aussie, not too good with lbs.
No worries. Happy to assist. Thanks for posting!
How is this a world record? Carl Yngvar Christensen lifts far more than this!
Probably world record in his weightclass...
and this is raw with wraps idiot
Jeff Conrey And a suit obviously, idiot

ChrisEli7e also, Vadym Dovganyuk competes in singly ply.
Excellent reflex on the squat.
