    Much Respect to Dan Green....he seems very humble, but gives training tips without coming across egotistical and let's his numbers speak. Great Powerlifter

    It would be good to have a video of Dan's full length workouts. I know its probably a huge pain in the ass to have someone follow him round with a camera while training but like you guys say, he is the boss, there is no one better to learn from that the boss.

    Pressing from your sternum up on an angle was explained well by Bill Kaz. Trying to push something up a ramp on an angle is easier than trying to push it up a wall.

    As Dan Green mentioned earlier, a strong bench press is more about having upper body muscle and less about technique. The squat and deadlift involve more technique.

    the weird thing i did to increase my bench was i did not use a barbell for almost a year just heavy dumbells and slowed down my lifts for a massive stretch it helped with my balance and hypertrophy now when i went back to barbell im much more stable and can rep out a lot more weight. obviously doing partials with a heavier weight helped too then i gradually used the same weight load on a full range then increase the weight and do that again it takes months but its worth it

      Get a spotter to help the lift off and imagine trying to split the bar in half with your hands. Helps me!

    • @QGfk1
      @QGfk1 11 років тому

      The advice I've always gotten is that if you don't have someone helping with liftoff, focuss on pulling the bar off of the rack rather than lifting it off then moving it into position.

    • @RevoltBlackOps
      @RevoltBlackOps 11 років тому

      Tom Glazier Thx, the cue of trying to split the bar in half actually helped!

    look at the way he grap the bar.. kinda pinching the bar.. so the bar sat on top of his wrist..

  • @justakidify

    is the "base of the sternum" signficantly lower than the nipples? I heard recommendations where to touch the nipples with the bar.

    SORRY YOU CANT UNDERSTANG YOU NOT A GOOD MASTER.
    AM... THE PROBLEM IS INT HE MUSCLE TENSITY !
    BEACUSE IF YOU PAUSED THE WEIGHT ON YOUR CHEST. YOU WILL LOOSE THE STRESS. SO THATS A BAD IDEA. THE STRESS MUST BE CONTINUISLY, BEACUSE THE MAXIMAL MUSCLE STRESS. DO MY OPTION TAKE A CHANCE AND YOU WILL SEE IT. IN HUNGARY I TRAIN THE HUMANITY FOR FREE, FROM

      If you only knew how ignorant you are.That time under tension ting is bullshit broscience.And touch and go benching is bad for chest development for a lot of people,so the pause actually helps with the pec hypertrophy.
