You understand when a doctor is good at his job when he even knows how demons’s bodies work
And demons go to ER too.
The (at least 2016) Codex does offer autopsies for much of the Demons, and those that were created by the UAC have outlines as to how they were created, such as the Spectre being created when a Cacodemon's optical nerve was implanted in a Pinky after several experiments. Dude probably just opened up the Codex, tbh.

Fun fact, per the lore, the DOOMSlayer has immense trauma and PTSD, to the point of constant hallucination, and a failure to speak or think anything other than "rip and tear" and "must kill them all"

Doom guy is actually traumatized from the events of 1,2 and 64. But doom slayer don't give a fuck

@@joladouillenoname4404 I think they're also more creative for the most part. In eternal there are so many glory kills where he's just slicing them apart. In 2016 he doesn't have the blade so they were forced to get creative with what doom guy can do with his bare hands

The most creatives Glory Kills for me were the ones in 2016. The kills in Eternal felt really tame and lacked the OOF in comparison
i like how he just tries to explain the *DEFINING DEATH* death wounds as if it was in a ER situation
Love how he sees someone be bisected with a chainsaw and is like "He should bring that arm and lower body, maybe it can be reattached"
Perhaps we should ask a coroner instead?
But it could be kinda wrong because he explaining the wounds of aliens with human anatomy

I can’t say I’ve ever seen doctors reacting to the gloriously over the top violent kills in Doom lmao, I love it
Fun fact about doom, the character that you play as (Doom slayer) was locked in hell for a unknown amount of time. He is able to do those injuries because every time he kills a demon he absorbs their soul making him more powerful and this includes his weapons and physical strength.
bro in like the next next game they should just make a scene where doomslayer picks up a massive (like skyscraper sized you see in the background of eternal) and just toss it metal gear rising style

I keep seeing this mentioned but I can't find it in the lore. The closest I can get is an inference to how Argent energy works and how the Praetor Suit absorbs and channels it. So, where is it?

I've been playing DOOM since I was introduced to it by my cousin through shareware in the early 90s when I was 10. I'm almost 42 now and loved DOOM and DOOM Eternal.

I had been waiting for your reaction to Doom Eternal, I knew you would do it someday. The last two Doom games put a lot of detail in anatomy. The Doom game from 2016 had a Collector's edition which featured a statue of the Revenant monster (an undead human that looks like a walking skeleton), I got that collector's edition. When I showed it to one of my sisters, who is a MD, she was fascinated with its level of detail (specially the vertebrae).

keep in mind that the Doom Slayer is impossibly strong. he killed a titan, one of the largest types of demons, completely buck-ass nude. so ripping apart bone like tissue paper is par for the course for him.

That's not actually true, he had the assistance of the entire Sentinel army to back him up in that, and likely did so with either weapons or the Crucible (at least one source says the latter, but it also says Titans can only be killed with the Crucible when otherwise has been proven, while the devs just say weapons).

@@dutch_asocialite well, it says he killed a titan during the invasion of Taras, and when we find said titan, it has a crucible blade in it's chest, implied by Hayden to be the Slayer's crucible blade.
I imagine that when the demons turn to dust, they reappear in a hospital in hell created specifically to treat wounds made by Doomguy.

"My cerebral cortex was annihilated and turned into atoms by the Doomslayer."

Another amazing video as always! I also recommend checking out the Glory Kills from DOOM 2016, since they’re just as, if not debatably more creative and violent than Eternal.
Eternal is more violent than 2016 I mean creative for 2016 I get it but Eternal has more glory kills and is more violent
nah, 2016 has the same glory kill used for the 6938th time. that was one of the most heard of complain in 2016 how the glory kill got old very quickly. that's also why eternal included many more ways to glory kill a demon.

For those who may not be aware, the clip at 1:04, with Adam Scott, is from the show Severance. Just in case someone may consider it a spoiler, the explanation is several rows below.
When Mark (Adam Scott) gets to work, an implant in his brain "turns off" his personality from outside of work, and switches on the one he "has" at work, so essentially, he's two completely different people, neither having any idea of the existence of the other one, what they're doing, or where/how the other spends their time. It is a very intriguing exploration of the notion of 'self', when your "outside" person (for all intents and purposes, you) want to work for this company, but your "inside" person hates it, so you're pretty much in conflict with yourself. A very interesting show.

Nice video as always. If you didn't did Archer already, really would like to see your reaction to his injuries. I mean he got stabed and shot multiple times. Then his tinnitus, which often is shown with comedic effect when weapons are fired near his hears. He beat breastcancer and even drowned (twice). And much other stuff in the show worth looking into.
