Far Cry 2 had a system where your character came down with malaria and had to take meds on a regular basis to stay alive. I think that animation you looked at was from Far Cry 1 where the developers got away with showing your character taking pills. I've put plenty of hours into the latest offerings in the franchise, and aside from making your own syringes from herbs or taking copious amounts of hallucinogens in Far Cry 4 or being forced to partake in "Bliss" in Far Cry 5 (Best of the franchise in my opinion), there hasn't been any animations of the player popping pills like that since Far Cry 2. I think the legal department started getting nervous and told them to cut it out.
ive only seen the pills animations on vehicles where it's not very prudent of the player character to be doing all those other animations while you're barreling down the road. so maybe you just never healed in a vehicle. honest mistake.
3:38 stab wounds, bullets lodged in the body are very painful when you just see the way they heal. but what brought me to tears the most was when the broken bones and joints shifted even the treatment process also made me very sore.😫😵
The animation that plays when you heal actually depends on what you took damage from. Hit by shrapnel from an explosion -> pull out the shrapnel. Hit by a bullet -> pull out the bullet or apply a dressing. Hurt by poison -> take pills or drink water. And so on. I noticed this in Far Cry 6, I'm not sure if it's similar in the others.
It's similar in others. Far Cry 2 you'll usually be pulling bullets out but stuff like fall damage or explosions (I believe) has you popping bones back in
Interesting to note is as your body heals if you have a small foreign body, your body will actually slowly push it out. There was a story of an elderly ww2 veteran who had shrapnel lodged in his jaw that caused him severe pain for decades before coming out in his mouth while he was eating breakfast. Even more amazing is a story of a guy who had a clamp left inside him and his body created a sack out of tissue inside his abdomen to contain the foreign body. Human biology is absolutely amazing. If I might go on a tangent about toxicology. Your bodies adaptive immune system, given enough time and supportive care can create antibodies to cure literally anything that doesn’t destroy it.

Ive always been curious. I know your golden rule is "Never remove impaled objects" no argument there, but could you do a video of what happens in the ER/OR for how that object does get properly removed?
An arrow would have to be removed the other way, so it would go all the way through. Otherwise the backwards points on the arrow head would make the wound twice as big.
@@copium80 Definitely. It's evenly shaped so there's no difference. If it doesn't already stick out of the back then there should be no question. If most of it has come out of the patience back then it's just easier to remove it that way. Another thing to be concerned of with a thing like that is dirt and rust. So if it does have to be removed the other way, it better be reasonably cleaned first. But the most important thing: Leave it in until medical professionals are present and have decided what to do. For all you know, it could be blocking some important artery, or something and the patient could bleed to death if it's removed on the spot.
@@SmartassX1 Thank you for the reply! Always fun to learn something new and interesting. I wasn't sure how rebar would work since it has like little grooves in it. I think there was a story of a guy who fell off a ladder with a power drill and it went through his skull and they just twisted it back out of his skull.
The Far Cry 2 animation with a nail is one of the ones that play when you take critical damage from an IED. Same with the rebar. However, for some reason, the IED damage animations will also play if you take damage from drowning, so you can stand face down in shallow water and rip shrapnel out of your body for fun. Also the pills he took were Anti-Malarial. The plot of Far Cry 2 starts with the player contracting Malaria.
Those pills were from Far Cry 6, the ones in 2 are little white pills in an orange bottle, and also significantly more polygonal. Plus, you only took them in 2 when you had the malaria screen effect, not as a healing animation.
I was watching video game walkthroughs of Injustice 2, and maybe you could do a medical reaction of some Supermoves. Examples: Batman's Supermove, Cheetah's Supermove, Green Arrow's Supermove, Black Canary's Supermove
I've learned that bullets can ricochet off your bones causing damage to more than one place. I read about a man who sustained a bullet to the kneecap and in the blink of an eye, it ended up in the palm of his left hand. There was also the cause of the only prisoner to die escaping Castle Colditz in which a Wehrmacht soldier shot Michael Sinclair's elbow, but this unlucky angle and position caused the bullet to deflect right into his heart.
More you upload, more the excitement it has! Keep up the good work, doctor. Really binge to these educational medication type and reaction video lately.
So, not necessarily ER related, but I ended up having to do a Farycry fix on myself years ago at work. I was doing demolition and a chunk of tile from the wall I was tearing down fell and slashed my wrist open. I didn't even notice until blood spurted out. I clamped my wrist and went to our site office, only to discover that our first aid kit had nothing but bandaids in it, so my and another guy improvised a bandage with a shirt sleeve and duct tape, then I got to drive myself to the hospital for superglue and staples. The duct tape bandage worked surprisingly well!
7:23 I was in the Navy for 4 years. We had this running joke about our HM's (Corpsmen) where we would go to see them for any injury and they would tell us that the best thing you can do to relieve it is to "change your socks." Yeah it sounds dumb but when you're getting people coming to visit you for every minor injury, this becomes the standard reaction.

Even tho those reaction videos are very interesting, I watched your reactions on gamology and really liked them so I'm very happy to know you're bringing video games on this channel too Also, the idea of reacting to clips sent from us is awesome!
Your reaction at the opening of this video is so right, Doctor Ed. Steps to cure arms and elbows that are bent downwards by straightening and correcting the position of the arm bone joints like that are just a fantasy. If someone pull it arm like that, the risk is that if we do it wrong, the joint will misslocations and have fatal consequences. Moreover, never mind pulling it like that, just touching it or lifting a slightly bent arm like that really hurts.
Dr Wagner I worked with you at SCVMC about 6-7 years ago. You a great doctor and seems like you a great UA-cam content creator too! Glad to see your channel growing! Keep it up doc 👊
Love it when he reacts, most of these react videos the person reacting is only focusing on the "Oh that's so unrealistic", while he focuses on "Okay, while this might not be realistic, let's suspend out disbelief for a second"
I remember the animation of the treatment from Far Cry 2 when the character pulled out a large piece of metal, well, somewhere in the kidney area and he just throws it out like it never happened.
I think they’re supposed to be dislocated rather than broken bones, hence how he’s able to reset it back into place and use it again (albeit probably should be a lot more swelling and pain afterwards)
My partner and I love video games, and usually keep each other company while the other is hogging the TV playing a single player game, but she can't watch me play Far Cry. Nothing In A Video Game Comes Even Close To Reality The Best Course of Action Is To Avoid The Action Altogether At Least Far Cry 5 Gives You That Option Because In The Real World Joseph Seed Would Be So Dead Because Count The Players Who Didn't Just Walk Away That's How Many Seal Teams Are Coming Down On Joseph Seed Because In Those Situations You Only Need One Level Head Who Knows Enough To Walk Away So They Can Bring Back Nuclear Fire

I never realized these animations were physically possible until I watched this guy's video. He could probably survive in the wilderness better than anyone here due to his great knowledge.
For an ER Doctor, you really look like you had decent sleep. Most of the Doctors in the ER I went through have bags in their eyes and have a hard time reading out the charts for my grandpa. Granted there is a pandemic going on, I can see why they would be tired as hell.
You're pretty cool in the way you explain the game scenarios. Also I've learned a lot from this video, why can't we get cool university professors to explain like this 😂🎓
I really liked this video, it was so informative! Really great job! I also really like that Farcry, even when they get it wrong, at least tries to portray self medication when they could have easily have just added a health pack pickup.
I've just met your channel and so far i'm loving it already, so here's my request for a video idea...what about you talk about horror games in general for example: little nightmares or five nights at freddy's or bendy and the ink machine or dead by daylight
02:07 to answer this question. I worked in a nursery and we used nails as stitches too close burlap sacks around the root balls of plants and trees.. This actually happened to me once, Hurt like hell and bleed for 3 days till the puncture wound closed enough to stop bleeding.. Thankfully it did not get infected.. But this dose happen a lot in nurseries .. Exp when its raining out and your rushing to get a new sack put on the tree or plant for a customer.
Omg, I had to reread the first bit of your comment because in my mind, due to my life experiences, "nursery" automatically refers to a place that cares for children. I was very concerned that sharp nails were being used around infants and toddlers until I got to "root balls of plants and trees"- then I realized my mistake. Hahaha! 🤣
The medical system in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was cool. For the most part you just select an area that's wounded, vhoose the appropriate tools in the appropriate order and its done but once in a while you'll get a cool cutscene showing how snake is actually using the tools out in the field.
I like how in other games it's like "oh yea, that's semi plausible but a bit over the top, still correct", and then for Far Cry it's just like "actually that is probably the worst possible way to do that and you will die significantly faster than if you just left it alone"
I would have liked to see how he reacted to the Far Cry Blood Dragon healing animations. The main character is a cyborg, so you do the kinds of things that would fix up a robot arm, though one has your normal arm squeeze a hand exerciser really fast, which somehow generates some kind of energy.

Haha yes! Definitely can feel the pain from this game.
Thank you so much for the support! Appreciate it!
4:57 ouch, as someone who has been burned from a burning seed falling out my blunt and landing on my foot, yeah that hurts insanely bad.

Lol 😂. I've never seen a doctor 3:50 analyze a video game like this this is actually pretty cool
Never thought I'd be watching a doctor react to farcry healing animations at midnight but here I am.
I been waiting for this it's awesome to see how you react to the injuries and describe to us how it's treated if it's accurate or not
Nothing In A Video Game Comes Even Close To Reality The Best Course of Action Is To Avoid The Action Altogether At Least Far Cry 5 Gives You That Option Because In The Real World Joseph Seed Would Be So Dead Because Count The Players Who Didn't Just Walk Away That's How Many Seal Teams Are Coming Down On Joseph Seed Because In Those Situations You Only Need One Level Head Who Knows Enough To Walk Away So They Can Bring Back Nuclear Fire
Chegou nos recomendado, como um fan de far cry eu precisei entrar aqui skskskks
I actually learned quite a bit from this, and it was fun to watch. Subbed
Thanks for watching. Glad you got something out if it!!
2:53 I like how they even visualised the "tinglingy and numb" effect
Apparently Farcry Healing is much better than the school nurse who just rely on a pack of ice.
0:29 I recall that the exception to the rule of not pulling impaled objects out was if you desperately need mobility.
3:31 The funny thing is main character hold gun with broken hand then heal
1:17 “OH NO” got me laughing on the floor
4:09 i felt the pain in my palm
Really that will hurt like hell there
You gained a new sub love the medical breakdowns of something like video games it really shows how people that are adults and work still like to have fun :D
I never realized these animations were physically possible until I watched this guy's video. He could probably survive in the wilderness better than anyone here due to his great knowledge.
This Farcry character has an absurdly high pain tolerance and is aggressively nonchalant about all his wounds!
Imagine you need surgery, the doctor steps in to the operating room and does this:

good content doc
Far Cry is crazy! Love the video game reactions! Also the Cardi B part was hilarious 😂
"Does it hurt? Yes! but it feels somuchbetteronceit'sbackin."
(a relieved Christopher Walken)
Great meme.
with your reactions to these animations i think you should've been hired as a voice actor for them 😂
For an ER Doctor, you really look like you had decent sleep. Most of the Doctors in the ER I went through have bags in their eyes and have a hard time reading out the charts for my grandpa. Granted there is a pandemic going on, I can see why they would be tired as hell.

This dude deserves a million subs. Hell, he even deserves 10 million subs.
Enfin en France je comprends r en anglais merci docteur ❤

Australians: so all of them, got it.
You're pretty cool in the way you explain the game scenarios. Also I've learned a lot from this video, why can't we get cool university professors to explain like this 😂🎓
Bro don't need a doctor, he is he own doctor💀
5:49 its crazy how US army used ducktape in vietnam for treating gun shot wounds
I really liked this video, it was so informative! Really great job!
I also really like that Farcry, even when they get it wrong, at least tries to portray self medication when they could have easily have just added a health pack pickup.
5:38 it was “viviro” (Anton Castillo’s cancer drug from far cry 6)
Man i really love this doctors energy! What a ecstatic dude!
Ah thank you!
I've just met your channel and so far i'm loving it already, so here's my request for a video idea...what about you talk about horror games in general for example: little nightmares or five nights at freddy's or bendy and the ink machine or dead by daylight
It’s so interesting to watch your videos because I’m learning so much to survive ❤😁
Absolutely love your reactions!
Thank you so much! What would you like to see me react to next?
Pavlov VR?
The video was really good! I wish you a great Saturday!👍🐾
Finally my favourite game series ^^ was great to see your reactions very informative!
Thank you!

Videolarınıza Türkçe dublaj eklediğiniz için teşekkür ederim
Best reaction video i have seen. This doctor is so genuine. You rock man.
Far Cry is pretty well known for their ridiculous "healing" techniques 🤣 Was fun seeing your reaction to it.
"STOP IT. GET SOME HELP."
I like how the Far Cry healing animations almost serve as a punishment for getting hurt, because you really feel the pain from those animations
I like how in other games it's like "oh yea, that's semi plausible but a bit over the top, still correct", and then for Far Cry it's just like "actually that is probably the worst possible way to do that and you will die significantly faster than if you just left it alone"
The guy digging the bullets out with his knife like a complete psycho lmao
Player of far cry:*tries to heals wound*
Doctor: you will need to go to the hospital
Player of far cry:*literally in the middle of nowhere*
I would have liked to see how he reacted to the Far Cry Blood Dragon healing animations. The main character is a cyborg, so you do the kinds of things that would fix up a robot arm, though one has your normal arm squeeze a hand exerciser really fast, which somehow generates some kind of energy.
