@@code_renard the hell, why can someone not be hopeful on the Internet? What the fuck is WRONG with you people? Let a mf be excited for a game Jesus Christ
Bungie should’ve just reimagined the Marathon trilogy using modern technology and what they’ve learned from decades of development. That would’ve been much better than whatever they’re going to give us. At least the originals are free on Steam and the Aleph One website. It would be truly hilarious if this turned into a third Concord situation (I say third because the writing’s on the walls for Fairgame$ flopping like Concord did). Speaking of Concord, there’s this obvious troll petition to revive the game. Just imagine how magical it would be if Sony were to rerelease the game only for it to bomb again like they did with Morbius😂
Ah. I found you again. On another Marathon video copy and pasting your previous comment. I won't repeat what I said on Hollowtide's video, but I'm starting to think you're secretly excited for Marathon if you're watching multiple videos.
I mean everything they make is based on what they've learned from decades of development if they have decades of experience in development. Also, the original Marathon is a dungeon crawler if I'm not mistaken and...well who wants that? Also, we don't know what the game is like at all so how are you comparing a game they didn't make to a game you know nothing about? Seems kind of silly to be doing that. Wait to see if the game is any good, get it if you think it's good or don't if you think it looks bad. It's pretty simple. There are other good games out there, so it's not like everything is riding on this.
@deliriumstatus1333 What I mean is using what they’ve learned to make the game mostly faithful, while fixing various issues with the original. I’d want the story to be presented the way Doom 2016’s was where just like the original Marathon there’s voiced characters, logs you can read, environmental storytelling, and a few scripted sequences. But, you can largely ignore the story if you’re not interested. We know from various leaks and news about the current state of Bungie that things don’t look good for the game. Also, Bungie hasn’t made a good game since Halo Reach, and most of the people who made Bungie what it was jumped ship/were kicked out during Destiny 1’s development (and we all know how that train wreck turned out😂).
@@shreksnow1918 Well, Destiny was a highly successful franchise. It wasn't a game I overly enjoyed, as it sounds like it you didn't either, but that doesn't mean it's a bad game. It had great combat, raid designs were top tier and the graphics/fidelity is better than most if not all games on the market. As for leaks about the current state...We have no real proof of the state of the game being bad. Maybe it is, but until people play it for themselves they have no idea if they like the game. We haven't even seen any gameplay yet. Echoing distaste for a game nobody knows anything about seems kind of odd. Also, the game you are visualizing for them to keep it faithful to the original sounds like the most generic game ever. You just described 90% of the single player games on the market. Witcher franchise, Dragon Age franchise, Dragon's Dogma 1 and 2, Baldur's gate, Divinity, any 2d isometric indy game etc. Why add another bland single player game to that genre when you can have a mutiplayer game that has replayability which brings more value? Also, as I mentioned that we have seen nothing about the game yet, who says they don't have some sort of story mode? Again, why judge a game you know literally nothing about yet?
I'm not sure that extraction shooters aren't already getting oversaturated lately. If a $40 price tag would eliminate microtransactions I would be all for it. It won't though. Bungie double dipped with Destiny and will do the same with Marathon.
I'm hyped to hear they are skipping the heroes and giving us attribute based classes akin to Destiny, which we can then customize to our liking. However, I really hope they don't forget to inject a healthy dose of PvE into Marathon. I've never been into extraction shooters so it this could be a good opportunity for Bungie to leverage it's existing PvE focused player base and create a new subgenre of extraction shooter. Also, I know it's a relatively niche game... but 40K Darktide has roaming monstrosities that randomly spawn into the map to hinder your extraction progress. It would be cool to see Bungie add a similar system to Marathon. I personally don't like the static boss fights in Hunt Showdown.
Yeah thats a really interesting point, i would not be at all surprised if they do cater towards the destiny community in that way. Could be really cool!
I’d for sure need an open beta to consider buying the game, I know bungie can do great and that they’ve been working hard on this but with how they are fumbling destiny I have my doubts.
@@bonnuuoq It doesn't exist yet lol, but I gonna create it very soon to spread information about Marathon in CIS region. I'll send you example of my translation to your email. Thanks for the reply!
If this is still planning to be a hero shooter. I refuse to buy the concept and art seems cool but I’m done with hero shooters. Ik he says it’s speculated it won’t be a hero shooter. But until I get confirmation that it isn’t. And everyone should too. Show these companies that do the same thing doesn’t pay.
It would be a big miss to not do a FTP. There isn't a FTP true extraction shooter on the market, much less one that is "AAA". Being able to be the first would huge. On top of that, I really dont want bungie to use their expansion model that they have been using with Destiny.
this game is going to mediocre, but it´s going to have bungie´s gameplay, art, and 1 thing, only 1, that is a masterpiece, something never seen and so obvious that everyones gonna say, why the fuck we didn´t think of that, And so, with this one thing, the era of marathon killers will start, all chasing it just to marathon be ahead of the race every step of the way, this is the bungie way, the destiny way, the halo way. all those companies that will die following marathon footsteps, like countless before in their 30 years history. And i´m all here for it. Or it will flop and i will have destiny 3 so win win scenario.
Bungie can't make a competive game. People will be disappointed that controller will dominate this game with bullet magnetism and extream aim assist bc they will make the mistake just like destiny and halo thinking that the player base suckes so they have to help them out and give them free kills
I believe that this pricing scheme could in a way combat a toxic monitization scheme, being a more premium game rather than relying on f2p monitization
the absolute banger that is the reveal trailer got me hooked, after looking into the original games i fell in love with the super intereting and unique scifi story. Alongside the reveal, they created an ARG which was full of lore bits and details about the new game, and from there i felt inspired to make videos about this game as i think the art style, idea for the game and lore are extremely cool and unique.
You guys better be ready for increasingly expensive content and cosmetics. Also, be prepared for lackluster lore, reused assets, ignoring community feedback, and if they aren't making enough $$$ the game will be put into low effort mode like Destiny has been for most of it's lifespan. Once they have destroyed community sentiment from their bad content and ignoring the community, they will blame the players and game for not being "profitable enough". Hopefully I'm wrong and they actually learned something from ruining Destiny, but time will tell.
DOA. The future is PVE games. PVP is dead since studios want to run on skeleton crews, which means they refuse to allocate resources to combat cheating day in and day out. Sony could've had 2 massive PVE extraction shooters in Helldivers & Marathon covering both 3rd person and FPS fields, but they let Arrowhead nerf Helldivers into the ground, and they're letting Bungie taking Marathon into a gameplay sector (PVP) that they themselves has proven to be their weakness as a studio. Just bafflingly stupid decisions by grossly overpaid execs.
helldivers sold over 10 million copies and currently has like 50k concurrent players. not a fail whatsoever. The marathon IP fits unbelievably well into an extraction shooter, a market in which almost no AAA studios have entered
am sorry but am not paying for an extraction shooter that will have a store and sell skins, DLC etc fuck that this is 2024. if they want to make the game buy to play it better not have microtransactions, which that is impossible to happen. so make it f2p. if the game is fun the game will be easy to access by anybody. and if they like it they will spend more than 40$ in the long run. if you go and look at the top 5 competitive games most for them are f2p if not all.
@@bonnuuoqRust and Ark are alsp survival games that aren't entirely pvp. In rust you have plenty of pve and Ark a fuckload of pve. Eft and tarkov are the same game genre as marathon will be though
40 bones is a lot of money just to play a shitty sbm shooter. Helldivers 2 was a fair price take for the content you get. But if I have to pay 40 dollars just to get angry idk
I can’t justify $40 even if the extraction shooter market is all premium pay to play. I could by two copies of titanfall 2 for that same amount let alone high quality indie games that go around $10 to $20
being skeptical of a company with a pretty negative track record is ruining what exactly? Gen Zs folks didn't spend the last 10 yrs in an abusive relationship with Bungie lol
Sadly the game is DOA, especially with the rumored $40 price tag. Delta Force is its biggest competitor(mainly console) and is F2P. Then add Delta Forces Alpha was loved by pretty much everyone and even had Tarkov players saying it was better.

Delta Force is not the only competitor and definitely not the only one. Most people have been praising the other Battlefield like mode in Delta Force more than the extraction mode.

@saintxrage2311 I just love me a good dumpster fire and that’s what the new Marathon is shaping up to be.
Bungie double dipped with Destiny and will do the same with Marathon.
i actually like the 40$ price point, should mean we won’t get much in game transactions and all that
plus, it’s nice having a game cost 40$ instead of 80-100$
Yeah but have you seen destiny lol
@@zachattackx288 i haven’t.
Bold assumption to assume a price tag means you won't see agressive micro transactions. You will!
YEAH NEW VIDEO
i think the price is good like call of duty is 80 $
@sasha-c8m good point
IM SO HYYYPPPEEDDD
If its turn out to be good ill pay 40 $
The tru7h is out there.
If concord taught me anything, making a pvp game with no offline or campaign 40 dollars is not a good idea
i dont know, marathon and concord are very different, there are many examples of games sold at that price which have succeeded.
huge news
I’d for sure need an open beta to consider buying the game, I know bungie can do great and that they’ve been working hard on this but with how they are fumbling destiny I have my doubts.
Dude let me translate your videos stop hurting me they are so good
Whats your channel?
@@bonnuuoq It doesn't exist yet lol, but I gonna create it very soon to spread information about Marathon in CIS region. I'll send you example of my translation to your email. Thanks for the reply!
If this is still planning to be a hero shooter. I refuse to buy the concept and art seems cool but I’m done with hero shooters. Ik he says it’s speculated it won’t be a hero shooter. But until I get confirmation that it isn’t. And everyone should too. Show these companies that do the same thing doesn’t pay.
i dont think anyone wants this to have "hero's" its crazy how that one quote has lead to people whole heartedly believing it to be a hero shooter
@@bonnuuoqTBF we don't know for sure it isn't. We just have to wait for more official details.
It would be a big miss to not do a FTP. There isn't a FTP true extraction shooter on the market, much less one that is "AAA". Being able to be the first would huge. On top of that, I really dont want bungie to use their expansion model that they have been using with Destiny.
I mean we don’t even know if it’s $40 or not just leaks from a game in development
I don’t mind 40$ as long as there is a decent amount of single player stuff to do . Can’t stand games being 100% online
this game is going to mediocre, but it´s going to have bungie´s gameplay, art, and 1 thing, only 1, that is a masterpiece, something never seen and so obvious that everyones gonna say, why the fuck we didn´t think of that,
And so, with this one thing, the era of marathon killers will start, all chasing it just to marathon be ahead of the race every step of the way, this is the bungie way, the destiny way, the halo way.
all those companies that will die following marathon footsteps, like countless before in their 30 years history.
And i´m all here for it.
Or it will flop and i will have destiny 3 so win win scenario.
If it’s a hero shooter I’ll pass!!
great video. well informed and you added the link to the article keep it up !!
Bungie can't make a competive game. People will be disappointed that controller will dominate this game with bullet magnetism and extream aim assist bc they will make the mistake just like destiny and halo thinking that the player base suckes so they have to help them out and give them free kills
Can't wait for Bungie to give yet another shitty monetization scheme with content going away forever and complaints falling on deaf ears
I believe that this pricing scheme could in a way combat a toxic monitization scheme, being a more premium game rather than relying on f2p monitization
@@bonnuuoqdestiny 2 also cost 60 bucks when it first released, then they weny ftp
Next Concord 😂
How are you a fan of Marathon? Are you a fan of the original? Because we know next to nothing about this one.
the absolute banger that is the reveal trailer got me hooked, after looking into the original games i fell in love with the super intereting and unique scifi story.
I think it would be very difficult for them to make the marathon lore "lackluster" especially with people like Jason jones involved
Bungos next trash game.
I bet with season pass, and full price.
💯% Not buy. Dead Game.
Where can i look at that moodboard that's on the background at 3:09??

Sounds like destiny why not just make gambit a extraction game mode? I want to be good but I don’t see it.
because destiny is such an old franchise, as well as being extremely difficult to get into, they want to make a new game entirely
am sorry but am not paying for an extraction shooter that will have a store and sell skins, DLC etc fuck that this is 2024. if they want to make the game buy to play it better not have microtransactions, which that is impossible to happen. so make it f2p. if the game is fun the game will be easy to access by anybody. and if they like it they will spend more than 40$ in the long run. if you go and look at the top 5 competitive games most for them are f2p if not all.
Has a whiff of concord….
please make a good game bungie
A pvp game that is not f2p. Risky
I disagree. Rust, EFT, Hunt, Ark. If they provide audiences with something unique and good people will play
*it's riskier yes but I don't think it would be stupid
@@bonnuuoqRust and Ark are alsp survival games that aren't entirely pvp. In rust you have plenty of pve and Ark a fuckload of pve. Eft and tarkov are the same game genre as marathon will be though
@@ghoulishgoober3122 True, marathon will also have a decent amount of pve too, like most extraction shooters

Concord 2.0😂
A paid pvp game...right gg
just looking at the dev team you know this game is going to be trash
Quit the YAP
40 bones is a lot of money just to play a shitty sbm shooter. Helldivers 2 was a fair price take for the content you get. But if I have to pay 40 dollars just to get angry idk
I would not call an extraction shooter a new market by any means what so ever
i would
I can’t justify $40 even if the extraction shooter market is all premium pay to play. I could by two copies of titanfall 2 for that same amount let alone high quality indie games that go around $10 to $20
Great video still
If it's worth the price people will buy it, if the game isn't good they won't.

Sadly the game is DOA, especially with the rumored $40 price tag. Delta Force is its biggest competitor(mainly console) and is F2P. Then add Delta Forces Alpha was loved by pretty much everyone and even had Tarkov players saying it was better.
Dude you seem to forget that Hunt Showdown, Escape from Tarkov, Arena Breakout Infinite, and Grayzone Warfare are priced extraction shooter games and people put them on a pedestal. Delta Force is not the only competitor and definitely not the only one. Most people have been praising the other Battlefield like mode in Delta Force more than the extraction mode.
Helldivers 2 was $40 and sold 10 million
how could you say a game is DOA before you have seen any gameplay?? delta force is going for that milsim style seen all throughout other extraction shooters, marathon is trying something entirely unique
