The fact it took you more than 8 minutes to find a game in The Finals is crazy to me, i find a game so fast idk what region your playing on or if you have a vpn or something cause thats not normal for that game.
Battlebit Remastered had a issue of the dev trying to cater to both hardcore and casuals. TTK for SMGs and the "Movement shooter" kids come in and basically wreak the whole playing field of 9-5 players. Also the Voice chat use to be the gold of the game, but it has been ruined by them policing it and making it not fun to Roleplay. Snipers also were a big issue and alot of people didnt like when their either made it better or worse. The game itself i loved, but it legit died out for such crappy support and intent to allow a divide on hardcore and casual players or a choice of servers to restrict more things. The TTK as i mentioned earlier made the support class not played by anyone and you would have a spammed amount of "Solo medics" who would not heal anyone and just run with SMGs and do COD:BO dives all over the place. This is all just my observation from playing the game until i stopped.
Yeah… when I played it my starting gun’s recoil was horrible, thing was bouncing left to right, up down and i needed to hit people like 15 times for them to die. The enemies though, they’d have oneshot kill no recoil guns that I just couldn’t compete against
Gray zone isn't dead. you were playing it extremely wrong. the game is a milsim, one of which comparable to games like Insurgency, arma, tarkov. the genre is hard to get into. most of your gripes about the game were about mechanics that are common for the genre. the reason that one NPC took so many round was cause you were using JHP round on a heavily armored and the more end game enemies. the game is being updated, continuously to this day and is actually doing quite good.

The Finals is absolutely a fantastic game. Not sure what the issue you have with finding games is but I typically get in a match under a minute. It is truly a unique and fun game.
The biggest problem with WW3 was the matchmaking. It was Tarkov levels of horrendous, and it actually made me stop playing the game even after I payed for the game.
The Finals does NOT deserve to be in this list. The game is one of the best FPS from the last decade, it still has a steady playerbase (and i can find matches in less that 2 minutes everyday), even if it's nowhere near close the launch one, which honestly, is BAFFLING given how well made the game is. I'll never understand why it's not at least in the top 10 on steam.

clicked in cuz i saw the thumbnail and i was like "wait thats kyoto". finals has def not been forgotten. it didnt retain as much players as i felt like it deserved, but it was about average. player counts always go down. but rn everyones excited for season 4 coming soon. ive been playing more the past week or so to see if i can catch up with my battlepass and never had long queue times. power shift was always less than 2 minutes. less than a minute average. only world tour take a little longer since its gotta get all the 24 players and them being in 8 different teams and also its end of season so less are playing in general until s4. even then world tour took maybe 3 minutes max
I have 600 hours on the finals and don’t know if I’ve ever waited for over 2 mins to find a game. The wait time is normally 30 seconds tops. That must’ve been a glitch

Devs killed their game by taking to dang long to cram way to much content into one update instead of releasing what is finished in smaller patches to keep the game fresh. It sucks to see the state BB is in cause it's one of my favorite games. Devs ruined it though and I doubt we will see an update this year
I stopped playing BF2042 after completing the final battle pass and EA announcing EoS for the game. I felt like a relief lifted around my shoulder, as possibly I just wanted to get my money's worth for being a dummy and pre-ordering the game, lol

It was alright I guess. Interesting but not what I came to the finals for. AND THEN THEY MADE IT THEIR RANKED MODE FOR THE ENTIRETY OF SEASON 3. WITH NO EXPLANATION. Like Cashout is the definitive Finals experience and they dropped it in a heartbeat because they'd attracted the Siege and CS audience. THANKFULLY everyone was very very loud with their complaints and now Cashout is returning in season 4.
as a regular player of Finals since its launch in Dec 7 2023 , I can confirm the thing that killed its playerbase is mostly the imbalance between classes . The light class has weirdly BS gadgets and specializations that promotes ratty playstyles ... Medium is fairly balanced you have to rely on your shooting skills and Heavy got sooooo nerfed that the guns are almost utter garbage , you have to use melee mostly cuz those are broken and easy farm . 2nd thing is the skill curve , the guns have slight recoil but very controllable but the understanding of the game is very vital which is not pickup and play type ... combined with the imbalanced classes every match is a frustration . and finally the anti-cheat issue , Easy Anti-cheat is the one of the most garbage anti-cheats in the industry , the amount of cheaters in asia-pacific region is mind boggling . other than these issues The Finals as a game is 10/10 ... the idea , the setting , the sound , the visuals , the modes , maps , gunplay , movement , mechanics its all just 10/10 ...

big problem with battlebits failure is because of competitive people wanting to play the game more competitively and it isnt really their fault its just human nature getting use to and understanding something and in result in that less proximity chat and due to an increase of more competitive players resulted in the game prioritizing the people that would play the game more competivitly since they would cry about the game more and because of that things were changed so the game became alot less team orientated and just kill the whole community the game had
the finals was the most creative fps game that came out in a long time. Its a shame it didn't get more appreciation, the destruction, the fucking METEOR SHOWERS. it felt like playing in VGHS. my theory as to why it failed was because the gameplay didn't encourage people to run around killing willy nilly, like cod or something, and instead embraced teamwork being superior. it was then that people started complaining and then they nerfed everything that made the game fun, it just became another cod copy. Its really a bigger shame though because i believe working with random people made the game even more fun. Also, most people, like Critikal, weren't talking about it and i didn't know why. The game was great and incredibly well done. as for battlebit, huge fan. there was a podcast that some of the devs were on in june or july where they said they were working on another huge update, but thats all just buzzword stuff if you know what i mean.

Like as long as you have a decent player count you're going to have enough people to play with And the finals is doing great, there is no other game like it, the destruction is way better than battlefields, and there's a lot of build variety. And the gunplay is amazing. The next season comes out next week and people are pretty hyped about it

I tried XDefiant recently, and played The Finals again after taking a break from it, and both were good. The only problem I have with the both of them, XDefiant more than the other, is that they’re both really repetitive. I just find it hard to have fun playing them without friends. Lol

Seeing the seoul map and being like "yo, i know where x building is" was crazy Super frenetic, nice maps, fun in coop too. @@robindabank34 I used to play Titanfall 2 all the time when it came out. Bud....it's dead. The finals is almost dead, Xdefiant is almost dead, BF2042 is almost dead. And fortnite is an amazing game you just have no taste
I've never been more heartbroken than playing bf2042 on release. The open-beta performed better than the "finished" game. At least for me.
big problem with battlebits failure is because of competitive people wanting to play the game more competitively and it isnt really their fault its just human nature getting use to and understanding something and in result in that less proximity chat and due to an increase of more competitive players resulted in the game prioritizing the people that would play the game more competivitly since they would cry about the game more and because of that things were changed so the game became alot less team orientated and just kill the whole community the game had

guess with the finals the skill gap is just so big, that people once they get slammed just uninstall the game right after and never touch it again
the finals was the most creative fps game that came out in a long time. Its a shame it didn't get more appreciation, the destruction, the fucking METEOR SHOWERS. it felt like playing in VGHS. my theory as to why it failed was because the gameplay didn't encourage people to run around killing willy nilly, like cod or something, and instead embraced teamwork being superior. it was then that people started complaining and then they nerfed everything that made the game fun, it just became another cod copy. Its really a bigger shame though because i believe working with random people made the game even more fun. Also, most people, like Critikal, weren't talking about it and i didn't know why. The game was great and incredibly well done.
as for battlebit, huge fan. there was a podcast that some of the devs were on in june or july where they said they were working on another huge update, but thats all just buzzword stuff if you know what i mean.
The final is more than alive that the most played battlefield on steam, no idea what you are talking about.

I don't think 2042 and The Finals are dead games...because they seem to be well alive, especially 2042 in it's current state. I don't know about Grey Zone but I don't think it's dead though.

I honestly don't see why people are so hyper focused on player counts? Like as long as you have a decent player count you're going to have enough people to play with
And the finals is doing great, there is no other game like it, the destruction is way better than battlefields, and there's a lot of build variety. And the gunplay is amazing.
The next season comes out next week and people are pretty hyped about it

Honestly, WW3 was awesome when it went F2P, but I wasn't able to play more than 1 or 2 matches when it came out because the game kept logging me out, and then I wouldn't be able to log in...

I tried XDefiant recently, and played The Finals again after taking a break from it, and both were good. The only problem I have with the both of them, XDefiant more than the other, is that they’re both really repetitive. I just find it hard to have fun playing them without friends. Lol
