- When we chatted about a Single Fin season, Mat was keen to shape a log for testing. But a chance encounter with an old, Clive Barber, Single from the 70’s got him excited to try a Midlength.
At first the board had a glassed on Single Fin, but after my first session we decided to send it back so he could put a box in. It was a slightly different experience not only doing a review, but being part of the R&D on a brand new model.
The board turned out beautiful and I enjoyed surfing it. Just a pity I snapped it early into the second session.
My Stats: 5’11” and 112kg
Surfboard: 7’6

Nice to see you do a video on Clives old designs. He is my dads brother. We are a big surf family and surf everyday. Would be great to try and get one of clives old boards. We live in Noosa in QLD.
Wow amazing. Met Clive and have surfed a bunch of his old boards. One of the biggest mysteries in SA surf is what happened to his old surf movie. Robby at vudu has one or two of his boards in our Rolling Retro collection. Perhaps he could chat with you and ship one?
Be curious to see if you fix the board and try some bigger hollower waves with it.
I’d like to see you try something like this but longer for more drive.
I was imagining that thing as a nice glider shape.
Def would work
Ahh crap. Snapped the thing!
Sadly yes
Any suggestions on a soft top midlength?
As yet have not tested but looking at a few soft tops soon.
Fin size ?
I used a 9cm
@@TheRegularGuyReview 9 inch I think you mean
