Because he needs to be talked about right now.
Because the guy is one of the best….he’s just brilliant…
Yes.
Nicki is more than a drummer, I played with him for many years in Boca Raton FL. He is a sweet soul and helped me get my music life started. He would jam with anyone just to have fun and give a fan a moment to remember. He managed my band Voices of Extreme for a few years as well. I wish I could post photos of me and him jamming in a Little pub in Fort Lauderdale FL. It was a blast. You are the greatest Nicko McBrain my Buddy. God bless you and Rebecca and family. Love yah Mate.
Been a drummer for 28 years; discovered Maiden when I was a child, and drumming is probably the reason I'm asking why so many people are chopping onions?!?!
Why?? Why would ANYONE ask why we talk about Nicko??? He IS an incredible drummer and the fact he STILL played those songs up until yesterday! Even AFTER a mild stroke, LEGEND! Excellent. I love IM before I even heard them in 1985 when I was 12 and got a poster for Number of the Beast, yea the plush black light one, incredible. If the poster is that badass the band had to be even better. They were!
My heart us heavy as he turns his back and leaves. 😭😭😭 THANK YOU FoR A LIFETIME OF MUSICAL MAGIC! ❤️❤️❤️ UP THE IRONS!
He’s 72 & had a stroke years ago. Enough is enough
'Backbone of Maiden.'
Greetings from the UK...My very first ever gig was Rush,February 13th 1978-Leicester here in the UK,i was 17...My very first Iron Maiden gig was October 6th 1979 at The Boat Club here in Nottingham.I`ve been a lifelong fan of both bands since those days and seen both bands live at least 140 times each...When Rush retired i thought the whole world had ended, when Neil Peart died i was even worse and it was if an old friend had died..I pretty much feel the same about Nicko retiring but at least he`s not retired from recording so there is still hope...All the best Nicko,we love you.
Nicko ❤the best ❤❤
DUDE MY WHOLE FEED IS ABOUT NICKO. WDYM
Click bait
He is a Legend!
Nicko seems a very warm and encouraging person and sadly in my life as a once pro player for 3.5 year in late 80's most drummers I met were nothing more than sly competitors and it shouldn't be that way, God Bless ya Nicko! 🙏
Nicko is regarded as one of the very best.
Everyones been talking about 🤦🏻♂️🙄
Because Nicko is a fkn LEGEND..🤘🤘🤘
Even his kit was a piece of art work, doubt any replacement will match that set up
I was gunning for a guy named David Winter who is a working drummer who plays with an IM tribute band and has Nicko's exact same drum set up. British Drums and the artists they have employed would have done well to continue with that canvas.
Not to mention the fact that his covers of the Maiden songs are spot on.
@fleatactical7390 yeah just saw him on the you tube feed yesterday doing the whole maiden catalogue medley..
Certainly sounds like he could keep it tight for Maiden....
I guess Harris has his own selection process...
Yeah, the new guy has some shitty 4-piece-looking kit (a 4-piece with an added floor tom). So it’s all wrong.
because he is cool guy and is one of the best drummer of all time also having unique drumming style
Fun info - the only times Dave Murray didn't smile was
when Blaze Bailey was being let go (fired)
and when Nicko played his last gig a couple of days ago.
I've always loved the way he sets up his kit, so unusual! \m/
hmmm. hmmm Wrong. lol I'm a 59 year old oldest Iron Maiden fan. His original was not Nicko McBrain. He is Nick McBain.... he changed his name to Nicko McBrain because he started drumming for Iron Maiden on the Piece of Mind album. LOVE YOU NICKO
I always thought that McBrain was a stage name.
Because we love him
Why? Now we know :). Enjoy your retirement, Nicko, and good luck, Simon!
EVERYONE IS WAKE UP
If Kotzen didn't do that stint in Poison he'd be Soundgarden's singer today.
Because he retired. That’s why.
Niiko? Its Nicko
Theres talk alright, but the thing is, its him retiring on touring, not passing away or anything. Sure its a big deal but its a conscious decision on his own so good for him. After the stroke, it was somewhat expected too
Plus, he's going out on top.
Nicko's leaving is for good old school Heavy Metal Hard Rock fans
like Kurt Cobain's suicide was for grunge.
A catastrophy.
We can do without Slayer or Kreator or Overkill. Or even Judas Priest and Whitesnake.
But we can't do without Maiden.
Love you Nicko. Be blessed.
Up the Irons !
I like how the video part and images don't have anything to do with what is being said...
Wtf you mean?? it's all over the internet!!
I think Nikko got a good write up.
Because he's the longtime drummer of motherfucking Iron Maiden!!!!!
Why aren't people talking about Dimebag?? 😂😂😂😂
BECAUSE HES THAT GUY
He even looks like Eddie!
And yet ,no mention of his conversion to being a born again Christian 🤔
Niko's departure is the beginning of the group's decline!
Nicko did the right thing by retiring other musicians should learn a thing or two from him especially Kiss and Madonna who refuse to retire and are just glorified cover acts at this point.
"HE FOCKING LEFT THE BAND"
He got sick from Dickinson’s propaganda-sh🌎+⚠️
Now that the best looking one is out the band the other lot might get a chance to get their leg over in 42 years.
He got sick from the sh🌎+⚠️
why no McDonald's sponsorship?
They should do a burger called the McBrain
Nicko was'nt that great clive burr in my opinion is way better of a drummer period
Would have been nice if they all bowed out together, Adrian and Dave are getting fatter by the tour the frequency that Steve has to dye his hair must be a ball ache, won't be the same now Nicko is away....another victory lap/cash grab first though.
if you're gonna be posting that kind of stuff, you'll have to at least try better
Can you also write something that makes sense?
Wowwww, you suck
Been a Maiden fan for nearly 40 years and I love them dearly. Having said that, although I would've put it in a different way, I kind of see the point... Maybe it is time to call it a day. I watched part of Nicko's last gig in Sao Paulo and, to be honest, they look tired and just going through the motions... I get the same feeling with AC/DC, whom I also love to bits, but... what is the point of going on? Obviously they have nothing left to prove. Also, there's no doubt that they don't need the money and just tour for the fun of it and clearly they still fill stadiums but.... I don't know.... Perhaps it is different for the new generations, but for the fans who have been there practically from the beginning like me, seeing them play now and remembering those gigs in the 80s brings mixed emotions.... I have plenty of respect for them for keeping Maiden alive and not giving up but, to be honest, I don't see the point of dragging themselves on a stage.... and I insist, I love the dearly. They have been a massive influence as a musician and they will always be a part of me and many fans...
Just my opinion
@@inakigazte9329I'm getting the feeling that Iron Maiden might be preparing to finish. The Run for your lives tour might just be a farewell tour. I'm a big fan but do we really need another album? I'm not sure. It's time to find newer rock bands to listen to.
Legend 💀☠🕷
