Sorry but the music was the sound of Jeff and the drummer. Anyone could have played bass and it would sound the same. The vocals is a different story. I think Jeff Loomis is more of the draw and can fill a venue. If the bass player created a new version of Nevermore it wouldnt have the same appeal.

Jeff's writing and playing were underutilized in AE, which has been Michael Amott's band since Day 1. My theory is between that and how predictable and formulaic AE have always been in one way or another? Jeff decided it was time to part ways and start making better music again. Van is a fantastic drummer, one of the best around to me, and if they get Nevermore up and running again, I'll be a very happy man. Maybe they can make up for how weak a final album "The Ophidian Conspiracy" was, because to me that album was a bad note to end on.

I hate it when a Yoko Ono stirs up trouble. The world doesn’t need that. The world needs Nevermore to come back out.

Nevermore actually broke up mid-tour because of pressures with the managers, Warrel himself talked about that during an interview. Their last show was in Tilburg I think. But anyways, I am SHOCKED!

Sammy has always had shitty music. He can't sing for shit ask any singer that has heard him. 5150 album was shitty. When you listen to the radio nowadays you never hear anything with Sammy and Van Halen but you always hear the old Van Halen POINT PROVEN.

I think Blaze Bayley would sound good in Nevermore. I know that’s a hot take considering people hated him in Iron Maiden, but his solo albums are actually really good. His voice would be in the same range as Warrell (R.I.P.)

I think that when Sebastian left, they should have given the band a different name!! Only with Sebastian was skid row skid row. If they were to reunite, they could be skid row again. It feels so fake to me without sebastian. But he would have to change

Im all for this, if for nothing else than to hear more Jeff Loomis's GOD tier guitar playing. Most bands that have ICONIC vocalists like Warrel Dane dont also have ICONIC guitarists like Jeff Loomis. As AWESOME as Warrel Dane was, he wasnt the only musical JUGGERNAUT in Nevermore, there was always also Jeff Loomis. This is RARE, for a band to have TWO icons. Look at Linkin Park trying to continue without Chester Bennington. Or Fear Factory trying to continue without Burton C. Bell. And yeah, theyre doing OK, they will always have fan suppport, but they just cant recreate the POWER they used to have. Nevermore isnt like that, they will be able to be just as EPIC, even without Warrel Dane.

WOW! i had mentioned this a month ago on one of Jeff's Guitar videos about trying to make a reunion with his old band members to resurrect his old just not with the Nevermore name they should ask Matt Barlow to join. Same Nevermore type music just not the Name. Iconic bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest had vocalist changes at some points and yes we all know Warrel will NEVER be replaced he was the integral piece to the NM sound either way i'm stoked to hear some more music from Jeff in the NM vein!
