NOTE : The Dinosaurs used to compare were all Juvies as it was a much closer comparison. Plus Stego does not have a Juvie faze in Legacy. So to keep it fair and comparable I used the juvies...

Really nice put and edited video. My only complaint is that you used the juvenile versions of the dinosaurs, instead of the adult ones.
I wanted to use the adult ones and attempted it trust me 😄 I’ve actually now got an adult stego and Utah. So there will definitely be a comparison update. I have more ideas as to make the video better. I wanted to dedicate an entire video to the 4 main adult Evrima dinosaurs, and closing compare them.
But as for this video unfortunately I kept on getting killed. Until the rules are enforced on Evrima people tend to just kill on sight. And most times it’s out of pure desperation for food.
And I’m totally okay with this, it’s a survival game.
But thank you for your input, I always take feed back seriously. It helps me get better at this..Appreciate it..🙏🏻
@@madsouthafricangaming Man, if you ever need help in showcasing The Isle dinosaurs when they release to make another comparison I could always supply you with my own server. I've had a few streamers use it to show off everything.

@@TAiiNE Sure although this video was to showcase babies, I had my reasons why but ultimately decided to stick with babies. As they are more comparable and the biggest change.
The adults are very similar and use some of the same sounds from Legacy.
The only remodels and remakes are the babies and some adults like Carno.
Stego is practically the same except for visuals.. 😊
But I am re doing it when more dinosaurs are available. 😊
I played Legacy today for a bit, and it just seems so...quaint. And the dinos are so, so stiff. Much prefer Evrima. Hope the updates come faster!
This pace is fine tbh, they’re perfecting the dinos so they won’t have to come back and fix them later
There is some issues with animations but they'll fix 'em later, but besides the game looks and kinda feels amazing.

I'll be playing it tm I just updated my game for 3.5 .
Legacy was very hard to play on survival .. Mainly cause I got randomly spawned .. Starved to death ( carnivore ) before I met any player(s) Zero AI too boot. First time playing.. Watched hours of yt videos tho. Thought I bought the wrong game on steam.
honnestly, I prefer the old walk animation. The new one is too fast and feel like it has been accelerated when used on juvie
I like ervrima but legacy has cool attack tactics and more dinosaurs currently

Animations looks more floaty in evrima. You feel the weight more in legacy
I suppose that's really only because it's more clunky.
@@Unethical.Dodgson Yeah that I agree to, but they nailed the way feet track for instance. A carno in Evrima kind of floats forward when accelerating, as oppose to sprinting

I noticed when comparing the stegos for evrima you were a baby to juvenile through out near enough most of the comparison, but on legacy you were an adult.

I think the Legacy model hatchling of the Utah looks better then the Evrima. Cause it actually looks cute like a baby where the new model looks like a small version of an adult..

Verdict: Evrima is better version of the isle, Evrima have better animations, graphic and mechanics, new version of the isle is going to have more dinosaurs, give the isle developers some time to create full game, Legacy will be deleted soon.
Final verdict: EVRIMA WINS

@@Nimbusz U forget something: Evrima is in beta, and legacy script is so broken that one change will break the whole game, also dont compare games by number of playables if they are broken/incomplete. In legacy theres only one attack, bite, no special abilites. Like all of the anims in legacy are walk, trot, run, drink, eat, rest, bite, roar, idle and crouch. Also need to add most of the dinos are not even available if not bought/get nested by. Better servers, well, maybe, but evrima got 10+ official servers, when legacy got none. Also there are EU, NA and i forget the last one. More people, well i agree, but thats because of evrima being incomplete. Watch evrima get flooded by a freaking player tsunami when u5 comes out. Legacy has only 400-500 players on the english ones, most of the players are chinese/german servers. *(Sorry for long comment, im always typing a whole bible when explaining something)*
2024, Legacy still has shitloads more dinos and hasn't been deleted yet.
In The Isle Legacy i need caring food and that sinking from evrima and other mechanics why just developers make evrima did they just hate legacy?

Lol from what I’ve been hearing, humans are most likely still going to be added in the two groups of tribal and mercenaries, but since humans will have structures to lock down and probably cars to drive (with mercs anyway) and I’m sure tribal will get their own buffs I can see it being fun to try out. And if humans aren’t your thing there’s most likely gonna be the option for admins to select which creatures are playable in the server.

@@GodMajik hm I’d guess with things like guns and spears that can give humans a long range advantage that dinos don’t have. But so humans aren’t op with the guns they’d probably have to find ammo. But that’s just my guess lol, I suppose we just have to hope the devs come up with a good system for it
The stego's design got a tad more fictional, from a pseudo-realistic one to a Lost World knock style, but it looks amazing and everything else is better.
Evrimas stego is almost spot on accurate...
@@SolitaryWendigo No, skull shape is wrong, hip shape is wrong, proportions are bizzare, the neck is a bit off and the plates are a bit exaggerated.
However, i will admit Evrima has an amazing fiction stego design... just not accurate
@@pivotnaza The only issue in seeing is the shortened neck and lack of a tail tip, the rest of the body seems to be fine.
I think I prefer the new brighter coloring of evrima and the blunter tail spikes, but I’m too smooth brain to understand the comparisons between what’s thought to be more accurate and more fictional lol.
Personally tho I like the big plates. And stego not being as realistic fits with the other isle dinos more since let’s be honest the isle has never really sought out to be super realistic lol. I’ll leave that up to saurian and keep my JP inspired Utah lolol
It's interesting to me that Legacy looks a bit more realistic, I like the slowness of the movements.

Legacy run on Unity and Evrima run on Unreal Engine 4?
I think Legacy runs on the older Unreal 3 engine, and Evrima runs on Unreal 4..

If I am being purely honest, even though I’m late I prefer Legacy much more because the stego’s models and animations look so much tankier

when you compare them side by side, you notice that the graphics look better, but when you play legacy, it feels pretty much the same

I prefer the water and foliage textues on legacy (I know this is old! but everything being brown annoys me in emriva)
The calls are way to quiet on Evrima and do not sound as good as in Legacy in my opinion. However the ambient is better in Evrima.

On Evrima there's a Server called Taco Island where anyone can have admin powers! I think you'd have alot of fun!

There's one thing that just beats Evrima, The amount of dinosaurs. If you're playing Evrima, unless you play Deino or Carno you're gonna have an AWFUL time. I couldn't live past the Juvi stage as a raptor and if I went anywhere popular enough to see another Herbi as a Herbi, I was eaten, which has pretty much caused the majority on every server to play Deino or Carno and commit mass Cannibalism.
Edit: Well, that and the Optimisation of Legacy.

Why i dont have stego in legacy?
I’m playing legacy until they put allosaurus in eve ima because tbh I don’t really like the carnos calls and it’s just deinosuchus in the water and you can’t even get the chance to grow, I love Evrimas look and style but I can’t enjoy it until allosaurus comes along since it’s my favourite Dino.
How can I get the EVRIMA version ?
There is no inverting for mouse axis in Evrima. So basically unplayable.
It just takes a while to get used to it. Still, I don't get why they don't give full input customization. As well as just 8 walking directions with analog stick

I think currently legacy is better because Theres more Dinos and stuff but evrima will be better, because of the polishing and the abilities of different Dinos. There arent many species but its totally fine.

There is a "the isle" game on steam, wich one of those versions is it?
The Isle is the name of both versions of the game one being Legacy the other being Evrima. These are versions of the Isle.
Evrima is the beta branch and legacy is the game they will be shutting down.
But they are the same game just two different versions..
You only have to buy the Isle..

If I was to have same graphics on legacy as you do Id have 5 fps total, and with much lower quality looking worse than most roblox games I only get 20fps

If they fixed the alt turn on evrima then it could be better than legacy. It seems at the moment there's no skill involved, just whoever gets the first bite. Fix the alt turns and all the legacy players will come flocking!

The Isle has come so far
Judging only by this video ( I have no reference in playing either version). I'd say generally Evrima has better textures and smoother animations. But because of those intense colors, combined with more rounded, clumsy looking model of dinos and blurry shadows. I think the Evrima looks more cartoony. So I would actually name Legacy winner here.

Legacy was better mainly because of the fact that utah could kill 2 adult rexes by itself. The good old days, I have had the isle for 5 years, and never have dinos been able to turn around perfectly without alt turn
Thing is Legacy is very unbalanced.
In reality a Utah wouldn’t even look a Rex’s way. But it’s a video game, and for the sake of entertainment they made it some what possible.
But it is still incredibly unbalanced, and Evrima is making the changes the Isle needs. But I don’t think Abandoning the Legacy branch unfinished is a smart move.
People love Legacy and it needs so much work before it can be called 1.0 complete.

looking at this now legacy looks so bland, the colours, models, animations, environment, calls are all so much cleaner and nicer in Evrima
