Every time I come home on leave to Manchester. I head my superduke GT north to do the 500. It takes 3 days of good riding. Its the most amazing place with epic roads. The 51 miles north of Ullapool is the best road in the world. My top tip is Lairg. There are 3 roads leading to it from the west. All open single track (3/4 is more accurate) roads that you can see for miles. Outstanding and gives you a break from the traffic on the 500. Lock view bed and breakfast in Lairg is how a B&B should be. He will lock your bike away in his garage, very friendly and stunning rooms. Love the whiskey set out for you in your room. Just don't book it when I want to go!!!! If your on a huge bike, or your not to sure footed. Give Applecross a miss. Giving all my secrets away now. As you come north on the A82 5 mile past Glencoe. There is the Corran ferry. its £3. Strontian,Salen,Glenuig and onto the Mallig road back to Fort William. Amazing roads and scenery. 3 hours, but well worth it. The restaurant opposite the Green Welly is miles better and the full Scottish breakfast is mega. Come back down through the Cairngorms.well worth it.you will not be disappointed. As good as the 500!!! Stop at Braemer. Leadburn to moffet is a great road. Enjoy,
I have also done it many times from Manchester I have even taken in the isle of Skye and the Orkneys. I always give Aviemore a miss, I can't stand the place. Did it before it had a name.
Another one to do is Redpoint Beach on a sunny evening. The sunset is beautiful over the mountains of Skye. Nice wee carpark, sheep and cows on the beach is novel, and the soundtrack is The Beach at Redpoint by Boards of Canada. Splendid.
One of the best videos I’ve seen all year, you guys put these motorcycles to do their purpose! I would love to see more videos like this with different motorcycles. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Me and a mate did the nc500 couple of months ago. Awesome roads and scenery. Did it on a busa, from Ipswich Saturday morning and back 4am On the Tuesday.
You can't explain to fellow bikers how beautiful the scenery is, every bend you go round you could stop to take photos but you would never get around. Rule of thumb up there is get to half a tank then fill up.you missed seafood shack in Ullapool. Do it every year on multistrada and will be going up June 6. Big up from Tuxford. Great stuff fellas.
Some great roads up there. Nice to see you at the Buccleuch Arms, it's one of the best motorcycle stop overs in Scotland. Dave and his family who own it are all dedicated bikers.
Awesome show boys! Scotland is absolutely epic! West Coast from the top down is simply incredible, the road out of Ullapool after fish & chips heading south on the A835 is something to behold, that and the run through Gleshiel! I'd say ye weren't able to put much of that footage up 🤣
Sorry boys but you did it the wrong way round.. Going over the Bealach into Applecross is one of the most spectacular views. Good excuse to run it again next year, go clockwise this time : )
That was a fantastic video lads, great to see my homeland, I was actually quite envious of it and can’t wait till this Covid shite is over so I can get back to visit my family. 👍
I did a modified version of this clockwise with a hop onto isle of mull last year with my 11yr old daughter on my xt660z.. Took a week from start to finish in Kent. Was amazing memory's for life. We're hitting Norway when restrictions lift enough next year. It doesn't matter what you ride.... Get out and ride it!
I am originally from Scotland and love riding round the place but riding in Norway is Scotland on steroids espacially if you get off the main E road tourist routes and try and find some of the smaller mountain roads. we did 6500 miles in 2 and a half weeks to get to Norway and back with most of the time riding in Norway
Nice one lads - I had planned to do the NC500 late September this year but Covid and a baby put paid to that! Shout-out to Buccleuch Arms in Moffat (biker hotel) - stayed there on way down to TT 2019 👍
I’m moving away from here in 10 days after 10 years of living here, just off the route. Granted, everyone that visits will probably enjoy it, however, you should have seen it before it was given the terrible name NC500. Empty. Wild. Special. All this has gone forever, now stuffed with campervans and bad road manners, where before there was glorious emptiness. Oh, the fuzz hang out here now too, so watch it in the spring and summer!
This was the the little known 005CN route. Maybe this is a great idea to avoid the the Motorhomes? Great photography as well. I've ridden all over Europe but Scotland is still the best (when its not raining!)
Did it before it had a name. Done it many times since. Even took in the isle of Skye and the Orkneys. I have also done it 2 up on a 600cc Silverwing scooter. Do it you won't be sorry.
🍻👍🏻 Nice one lads, I'm from Aberdeenshire, often on some part of NC, the road to Ullapool is pretty cool. Lots of other good roads with no campervans if you know where to look. 😉✊🏼👍🏻🏴
can you play the music in between the dialogues a tad louder, lads? my ears are not quite bleeding yet... (jokes aside, loved the vid, waiting for more!)
This could have been a really good video if you Nancy boys had spent less time poncing about and got a bit more.....” technical “ 😉 Hardly mention the bikes, wtf!! 😳😳!! Winner for me,...Ninja 1000sx......performance tourer version inc panniers all in for just over 13k! Bargain!! You sounded disappointed with it , but it’s far from a slow bike , as quick to 60 mph as the KTM 1290 and it demolishes the KTM in top gear roll-ons, plus the switchgear works ( see this month’s Bike magazine..sorry 🤭) I tested the KTM 1290 GT and one word sums it up.....agricultural,...the engine vibrated as though it was loose in the frame, and the wind shear noise from the screen was incredible, didn’t matter what position it was in. The BMW for me is just not worth the money for what you get, crap seat, rattly engine and just acres of cheap plastic...that isn’t cheap 🙄! And as mentioned before, you guys did the NC500 the wrong way around!

Leadburn to moffet is a great road.
Enjoy,
We road up to Mallaig on that fast A road,it was like a freaking grand prix.
I have also done it many times from Manchester I have even taken in the isle of Skye and the Orkneys.
I always give Aviemore a miss, I can't stand the place.

First time I've seen these three. Know one of these is with 44teeth now, but man, what a great trio these guys are together!
Boothy before he got his promotion
And his broken ankle
Best roads and scenery in the world, great film chaps makes me happy I stay in Glasgow and having it right on my doorstep!
One of the best videos I’ve seen all year, you guys put these motorcycles to do their purpose! I would love to see more videos like this with different motorcycles. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Great trip and brilliant video 👍
Me and a mate did the nc500 couple of months ago. Awesome roads and scenery. Did it on a busa, from Ipswich Saturday morning and back 4am On the Tuesday.
I have done it many times on different bikes but never a Busa, how did you ind it?
Great I done it last summer on a 675 daytona loved every minute of the trip

Brilliant video, guys. I'm sitting here itching to get my trusty steed out of the garage and head up north. Definitely on this year's to do list.

We do Scotland every year. Never done the 500 in one session but have done it over the years. Great roads. Great scenery.
Very entertaining - really enjoyed that! Totally agree on the fish and chips at that takeaway in Ullapool - best ever!
7pm: "OMG did you see that golden eagle"?
"No, I was too busy focusing on the vanishing point as I got my knee down"
Awesome video! Amazing scenery!
Sorry boys but you did it the wrong way round.. Going over the Bealach into Applecross is one of the most spectacular views. Good excuse to run it again next year, go clockwise this time : )
Done it by car this year, next will take my triple
No they didn’t that’s the best way but should have went from Glasgow up A82 to glencoe fort Augustus then Inverness
Great viewing guys hope to see more road trips 👍
My all time fave road trip, ours was 1600 miles in 5 days. EPIC 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great video, read about it in the mag. Then Watched this
This is how you do a video, Scottish tourism should be giving you a big thanks.
That was a fantastic video lads, great to see my homeland, I was actually quite envious of it and can’t wait till this Covid shite is over so I can get back to visit my family. 👍
Get well boothy
Next on our lists is the North Coast 500. Nice video lads.
Why no panniers on the KTM?
Hi guys, is it better to take a week to ride the NC500 as there is so much to see?
I'm going to do the apple Cross run then stay over one night and head home. this Easter on a cbr 500ra. Can't wait. Great video guys
Great video guys, production has really stepped up. Would love to see an uncensored version of this trip 🤣👍
I did a modified version of this clockwise with a hop onto isle of mull last year with my 11yr old daughter on my xt660z.. Took a week from start to finish in Kent. Was amazing memory's for life. The Scots have definitely improved the AppleCross pass with the extra passing places and widened corners.
Nice one lads - I had planned to do the NC500 late September this year but Covid and a baby put paid to that!

And idiots like these 'getting their knee down' make it even more likely the police will be out in force...
@@BibtheBoulder it was easy to do before the tourists came, but no harm in Kneedown old bean. Live and let live.
As you guys said you'd pick a sports tourer over a sports bike for this trip, but would you still recommend it if your bike is a sports bike ?
Convinced me to do it this year ✔️
This was the the little known 005CN route. Maybe this is a great idea to avoid the the Motorhomes? Great photography as well. I've ridden all over Europe but Scotland is still the best (when its not raining!)
You should do Isle of Skye and Isle of Harris and the other islands 😍
Did it before it had a name.
Done it many times since. Even took in the isle of Skye and the Orkneys.
I have also done it 2 up on a 600cc Silverwing scooter.
Do it you won't be sorry.
🍻👍🏻 Nice one lads, I'm from Aberdeenshire, often on some part of NC, the road to Ullapool is pretty cool. Lots of other good roads with no campervans if you know where to look. 😉✊🏼👍🏻🏴
100%agree that the best fish and chips in the UK are from THAT fish shop in Ullerpool 👌
Most folks go clockwise around the NC500 and i can confirm the road down from John O Groats is much better than going up it!
In what respect
Can't be many numpties done this run in one piece leathers 😂
I lived there for 10 years and always wear leathers on the road. Why do you think one piece leathers are unsuitable?
Quality 😎👌🏼
Does 1000sx have linkage in the rear suspension?
Yes
It would have been a good video but for the terrible music ...... i had to turn it off!! sorry guys
Can’t be Scotland, where the rain?
A timely reminder. The NC500 isnt a race track. Please respect those of us who live on it. Thanks
“Those that have done it, never stop banging on about it”.... Hang my head in shame
It's true I never stop.
You just carn't beat getting away with your mates on a bike trip-the rest life has to offer is generally shit
I,m up for it ,where do I get my free bike, tires and expenses LOL.
ua-cam.com/video/XGUcP75yJVM/v-deo.html ,back when fast bike were fast bikes.
can you play the music in between the dialogues a tad louder, lads? my ears are not quite bleeding yet... (jokes aside, loved the vid, waiting for more!)
Draco malfoy rides motorbikes... Cool 💪🏼
Why not a Ducati Multi
This could have been a really good video if you Nancy boys had spent less time poncing about and got a bit more.....” technical “ 😉

1-piece Leathers... No no no
Why is that?
Why so LOUD music.?
Why music at all.?
In this day and age we can put on music if we want, and adjust the volume as it please us 🙂
Check out Richy Vida, Wildbad Touring, this is a joke
Nc500. Bullshit, the place is getting wrecked.
It’s brilliant, but yes too many fkn tourists mainly English
NC500 is just a name. Give the place a name, market it, ruin it.
