Swans are plentiful in Scotland as are geese in the United States. I've been attacked by a goose before. Both birds will attack humans if they feel threatened, particularly during breeding season. If you get too close to the female sitting on a nest they built, the male standing guard will go after you.

I think this might be a perfect comedy. First off, the writing. The script is so tight that literally every moment on screen is either foreshadowing or pay off. Then one of the BEST ensemble casts to come out of the UK just absolutely nails bringing everything to life. And there are so many jokes, references, callbacks, and foreshadowing, that it is just endlessly re-watchable.

In this movie is linked. Everything! Every time you rewatch it you find something new. I don't know how many brainstorming sessions the writer's teams had before they finished the script. And I'd wager almost any bet that they had to reshoot a crap ton of scenes because they found another thing to add in during the filming. It's brilliant!😂😂

Back in the 1970s (?) there was a TV show called Kung Fu. David Carradine played a kind of warrior monk wandering through the Wild West. Every so often there would be a flashback to him being trained in Kung Fu. Whenever his master was delivering some ancient words of wisdom, he would address Carradine as "Grasshopper." Aaah, we all knew you would love this one 😄 But there is no need to be sad that it ended, it is so rewatchable. On subsequent viewings, you will pick up on more and more callbacks and typical Edgar Wright touches that you missed first time around. A Scottish touch for you is the two Desk Sergeants. Bill Bailey (hilarious comedian and Strictly winner) plays them both. You can tell them apart because (a) they've different hairstyles (b) one is friendly and the other certainly is not, (c) they are reading different books. One is reading “Complicity” by Iain Banks, the other reading "The State of the Art" by Iain M Banks.
The joke here is that Iain Banks (The Wasp Factory, The Crow Road, etc) and Iain M Banks (Consider Phlebas, Use of Weapons, etc) are the same bloke and one of my favourite authors. He used the "M" to distinguish his Sci-Fi from his more mainstream works. The Scottish touch is that Banks is from Dunfirmline. Sadly taken from us at too early an age, he is regarded as one of the Top 50 modern authors.

I remember that exact same feeling not wanting that movie to be over. The whole movie was already great, and then the really long end action sequence/shootouts with all the one-liners and callbacks/payoffs just gives a huge adrenaline rush that just ends. And that's why we watch reaction videos, so we can re-live that moment in others. Love it! Oh..and the writer/director of this movie also wrote the screenplay for Scott Pilgrim (which gives the same feeling of action and jokes).
