It's not the rear sight that's the problem. You need a taller front sight.

Filing the top of the rear sight does nothing. You need to deepen the rear notch or raise the front sight.

Deepening the rear sight would do nothing if I’m still lining up the top of the front sight with the top of the rear sight…
Also, I did deepen the rear notch along with filing the top of the rear sight.

@@YonderOak. That is exactly why it shoots too high. Bottom of rear site groove to the bead on the front site is the correct usage.
