Welcome back to another video. Todays video is a little bit different. Today we are picking up a new boat, not just a new boat but my dream boat! Soon we will have her out walleye fishing on a video in the future. Today I give a walk through on my favorite walleye fishing boat of all time! Thanks for watching my walkthrough of the 2022 Alumacraft Competitor Tiller!

Good choice. I live in Washington state. Alumaweld is the top rated professional salmon guide boat for a reason. The all welded aluminum boat is incredibly strong yet light weight. How strong? We use these boats to go up and down stream through shallow white water using jet motors in pursuit of salmon and steelhead. Hit a rock? No problem. The layout is different from a Walleye boat but that's why Alumaweld makes so many different models. I'm in the process of replacing my 17' sled with a 25' boat. Run shallow water one day, run out in the Pacific ocean the next. All with the same boat. Anyway you have a great boat, enjoy the day. 😁🐟🎣👍

Super nice boat! I had a tiller a few years ago and really liked it but got wet on Lake Erie too many times.....full windshield for me now. Love it!

Nice rig! Never owned a new boat or a tiller boat but my 87 alumacraft 175 trophy does pretty good for us so far
Really interested in hearing more or pointed in the right direction for a live scope pole mount that fits the alumna track rail.

I have the 2022 165 Summit tiller. it looks like yours but smaller.i should do a 1 year review, I used in San Francisco Bay then moved to San Diego and be fishing LA Jolla waters an even the Upper 9 Bank with is 15 miles off shore. Keeping eyes on weather charts definitely though. Awesome boats !!!
Do yourself a favor and get the Alumatrack mounting bracket and baseplate for your 360 transducer from Fishing Specialties in Colorado. I don’t know that they will give you one for the endorsement or not, but I bought one and love it. You will like it much better than the brackets that you have adapted for your boat. I have even made mine dual purpose for ice fishing as well. BTW, nice boat!

Love the boat. Recently purchased a 360 and needing to hook it up as well. I’m seeing the problem of running out of space also. Might have to look into one of these Aluma Craft Love the space !!

I have the same boat but the 17ft version. I love it! Its my first "big" boat that I have owned. In few years when the kids get bigger I want to get a competitor 205 full windshield. That is my dream boat and someday I will have one.

That's very cool boat! Nothing like that in my town, only wooden fishing boat here.. congrats for new boat!
I have the same boat only black and silver with a Yamaha 90 SHO. The biggest thing I like about this boat is how spacious and stable it is is which is a big plus especially being 6’6”. You forgot to mention it’s on a ShoreLand’r trailer which is a big plus especially how much you use your boat and trailer. Any special reason you went with a bunk instead of roller? I went with bunk and just silicone the bunks once a year.

Always an exciting time picking up a new boat and outfitting it to your specifications. A lot of fish will be "hooked up" and coming over the side of that beauty! Have fun.
You're going to love that Talon! I even use mine for docking, or when tourny fishing before blast off.
Kind of a weird Question but how is it trolling Boards? Do you just use the kicker and Minnkota for Autopilot? Also how would this boat handle Big Water? Such as Lake Erie/ Lake Ontario to troll for Trout/ Salmon/ Walleye? Pulling boards and also A downriggers on each side? I sold my lund Sport Angler last year as I felt I didn’t have enough room in the boat with the windshields and the Bow was super small and I like to sit in the Bow while panfishing! And the boat had hardly any storage whatsoever! Thanks and I really enjoy your videos👊🏻👊🏻

Congrats on the new boat Tom! Thank you so much for your videos. We just bought a used Trophy 175 Sport this morning with a 140 Suzuki. This is my first boat. I am really not a good fisherman since most of my time has been focused on hunting but I'm excited and I can't wait to get out there and try to catch my first walleye!

Tom - great ride, big fan! Watched all your vids and wait anxiously for your next. I know this is a big ask...but...can you list the add-ons you requested Warners to add to your ride as far as wiring for your units. Is the radio console an add-on? Im in Ontario, Canada; I'm not buying from your location but I am interested in stepping in to a new Alumicraft and step out of my 16ft MirroCraft Outfitter. Noticed in the video you have pre-wired Humminbird cable tray assemblies. I also have Mega-live and Mega-360 to include but I'm starting from scratch, have ice shuttle packages. Any info to assist would be great. Cheers..Saugeen

Way to go on the new boat. I picked up a 175 from Warner's Dock at the end of January. Great sales guys there. How do you get off the front of your boat when loading by yourself? Do you stand on the spare tire and jump off? Maybe you could show that in one of your future videos.
Tillers are great, always so much fishable space in them! Only time you regret not having a windshield is rippin’ when it’s raining and feels like bullets hitting your face. Nice rig, I have a starcraft freedom, I fish Erie a lot here in Canada and wanted the flat floor as Erie goes from glass to we’re gonna die in a matter of 20 mins haha
I have the same boat for Lake Michigan and Green Bay! Love the freedom for a good all purpose boat with nothing crazy or fancy.

Just curious, Do you think Aluminum boats truly are the best? I love my Crestliner I bought it brand new 2 years ago but I 100% see the benefits of running a Fiberglass boat and see myself buying a 18-20ft fiberglass before I buy a different Aluminum, The wind here in North Dakota eats up the aluminum boat if your slow trolling
