    Fast idle is to warm up when it’s cold out. Not as needed on new 4 strokes but comes in handy when needed

    Nice boat. Glad you put a good motor on it no Rotax/Evinrude. That’s actually a ShoreLandr XR Roller trailer with the ShoreAmour coating not galvanized. We recently started offering the Dorado on the trailers which is great especially for roller trailers.

    Nice video appreciate it! I'm planning on picking up a 175 fsx soon. Does the bilge have an automatic float function or is it just on/off with the switch?
    And do you have a good understanding of how the timed livewell feature works?

    Very nice! Where can I get a deal on a boat like yours ?

      I got mine from Power Lodge Ramsey, MN! Great dealership! Mine was a 22 going into 23 though so they had quite a few models they were trying to get rid of.

    I know people seem to love those locking latches when loading and unloading but the power loading really blows out the launches and creates so much silt and debris going into your motor. I did really like the video and that is a boat I am considering.

      Most of the launches in mn at least are already so blown out, I don’t have to power load much when loading the boat on the trailer, yesterday on lake Minnetonka, the area where you launch was 10 ft deep from all the power loading, then there was the normal level of the lake which was 4ft, I didn’t have to power load yesterday as I could get my trailer in the right length to load it on without using the motor!
      You’ll love the boat if you go with this one I did a ton of research and for the price and features you get it’s one of the best fish and ski aluminum 18ft boats you can get, you’ll love it!

    Nice rig! Do you travel with your Bimini cover attached to the boat or do you remove it while transporting?

    • @TIGHTLINES_MN
      @TIGHTLINES_MN  Рік тому +1

      I travel with it off if I can otherwise if I have to travel with it on, I make sure I tuck the straps inside the boat to prevent them from rubbing the paint off, haven’t had to travel with it on yet though!

    The animated intro and the transition were a nice touch. Have you ever thought about doing some kind of background music to play quietly while you talk? I know you said that you were trying to blur out the license plate, but, the blur is really off putting. That's really my only gripe about the video.

    • @TIGHTLINES_MN
      @TIGHTLINES_MN  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the feedback, I think next time to avoid the blur I am just going to make sure I dont get my license plate in the shot that will probably be the easiest haha.
      In regards to the background music while i'm talking thats a great idea!
      How did you feel about the length of the video? Too long? Too short?
      Thanks again for the feedback!

      I dont know if you had a chance but I posted a second video with your suggestion of background music, let me know what you think!

    I'm just curious how do our trailer fenders perform? Just bought a 2023 Competitor 185 Tiller and made 4 trips with it, and one fender broke off, and the other one started to crack. Shoreland'r are sending replacement parts. I found multiple floor screws in my boat unscrewing due to the trailer hard ride. Tires need to be inflated to tire max pressure 65 psi... impossible to deflate the tires a little to smoothen the ride as the tire contact pacth is already at 8 inches at 65psi... risk of overheating the tires. I submitted a complaint at Transport Canada. I would recommend a double axle trailer for this boat. Other than that, this boat is awesome to use.

      I don’t know if your fenders are different but mine are metal and solid, I have no issues trailering this fsx at all!

    • @eliedube
      @eliedube Рік тому +1

      Same as me... the fender are rock solid when I step on them... no flex at all. But, when you travel on a gravel road, you will see them abnormally flex. 3 trips on asphalt and one trip on gravel and broke down on me. Actually, the fender are holding down by the leaf spring bracket.

      @@eliedubehave Alumacraft get ahold of ShoreLandr for you. Which sounds like you’ve done. Pretty strange situation you have going on. I have the same trailer on my boat except bunk. I’ve been on many rough riding roads. 3 years now no problems.

    Alumacraft Voyageur 175 Sport is $10-13K less than this boat and is 18' with a beam that is 6" less. Excellent features, big water capable, 2xb hull (halfway to stern) and comes with a custom trailer. Just throwing it out there for anyone watching that doesn't want to break the bank. Both great boats but $ is real and i dont see an extra $10-13k worth of anything.

      To each their own! The voyager is a great boat as well, however I got a phenomenal deal on a boat that is a foot larger and is a more family oriented boat as well which is what I was looking for, still both great boats with great features on both!

      Seems kind of harsh, as the boats are completely different. I've owned a Dominator, the Voyager and now a Competitor 185. Of course it's more money, it has a deeper transom and boat depth, thicker hull and freeboard, the ability to run a 150 on it. More fuel capacity, better live wells, I could go on. Congrats on your boat, you will love the extra beam, especially when you have 4 guys on the boat, it was literally the only reason I got out of my Voyager.

    What size is that Garmin force trolling motor? I have the 50 inch Garmin force. Wondering if that would work with this boat?

    What did this run you? 70k-80k, 100k!? I envy this boat man. Beautiful
