If in a place with a larger population, 10,000 or more, you can barter with others for supplies or safe passage. It's useless in the wilderness unless you melt it down and use it in a sling.

A lot of the people getting into prepping and survival today are doing it because it's the "in fad" in my opinion. It's the cool thing to do. I grew up on a farm where we raised most of our own food, which I hated at the time, but we were prepping before it was even called that, it was just living back then. My parents canned food and put it up for the winter, we hunted hogs, deer, squirrels and fished. It doesn't take high priced fansy equipment to survive. Great video.
Gold and silver is a bad investment. If society collapsed gold would be worth less than food and water, which you would likely still pay for with cash or, failing that, bartering.
Silver and gold will be a traded commodity, its the fiat currencies that won’t hold up. Mike is right.. also ammo, lighters, and condoms. Just keep your stash low key so someone doesn’t kill you for your supplies.

"We're entitled to our opinions as Americans... and so are you." This is one of the best statements I have heard in a long time. I wish more of my Countrymen subscribed to that creed.
I whole-heartedly agree. I've heard from more than one depression survivor that told me they kept a pot of beans on the back of the stove or a pot of chili. Whomever knew to come to their backdoor got fed...well, my wife and I found our town slid down into a depression the last few years, and we keep some stuff in a fridge and a breadbox in the garage, and a cot set up in the hayloft.

This will still allow you to improvise, but be more efficient with your time, stay on track better, and not forget any important points. It helps me.
For those unwilling or unable to suppress a .22, the CCI Quiet's are a excellent resource. They produce the noise leverl of a pellet gun and send a 40 gr. pill at 700-800 FPS. Plenty to take squirrels, rabbits and other small game.

5:15 i have a gunsmith friend who made folding short barrel "bicycle" guns for everyone in our group which are lever action .22 with a selector style switch to switch between short, lr, and wmr rounds with a threaded barrel for a supressor and polymer surfaces on the mechanical components to cut the noise of the action and they are so quiet with subsonic rounds and a supressor that its scar (by the time i figured out that he had started shooting the first time i saw it he'd emptied the 30rd mag)
There's actually a lot of affordable options. Every time you go to the store for your regular shopping, pick up 3 - 5 cheap durable items and put them in a separate storage location in your home like a chest or something. Jar of PBJ: $4. Bag of beans: $3. Bag of rice: $2. Can of tuna/chicken: $2. Buy a little at a time is better than buy none ever. Firearms wise, you can get some good reliable guns for around $200. Just save $10 per week for 5 months and BAM, you got a gun. Little at a time.
Tactical solutions now makes a very nice barrel for the 10/22. I intend on buying it. It is 12.5 inches long but this is the beauty of the design, it has another 4 inch barrel shroud that doesn't come off making it 16.5 inches overall. This is so you can attach your suppressor and keep the rifle short with no need for an SBR tax stamp or 6 month wait :-)
I never really knew much about the ruger 10/22 until recently via your channel here. I started my search mostly in local gun sites and i almost paid over $300 for an older basic model but someone beat me to it with a pistol trade. I have looked in approximately 20 stores and pawn shops to no avail but about two weeks ago i was extremely fortunate and replied to an add in the Sunday Oklahoman for one around 10 to 15 years old in excellent condition with 500 rounds to go with it. $190 total Yeeha
A friend of mine lives there. He said he wished he had stocked up more on candles and batteries. When the power is out, night is pretty dark. Some easy food too. At least a week worth of food and light.
I don't know much about prepping. ( learning though) My new mother in law has benn prepping for the worst for many years. (solar panels, water well, food storage) She just says that the best thing for me and the wife is to have good route to her place in the maintains when shtf happens.
There are many virtues of character. Self reliance always been important. This is about confidence, toughness, education, preparedness, planning and the ability to perform under pressure to achieve positive results. None of this is new. Step into a time machine and see who is successsful in the society. The self reliant are always leaders and perpetuate the species.
Survived a survival cource with a flight suit, 1 machete between 2 people and 2 litres water to start- thats all, 2 weeks in the bush. We about built a holiday camp, the line between surviving and enjoying it is a fine mental line, comes down to calm attitude.
I see lots of things about making black powder for survival situations. But if you don't mind very hot loads you can make smokeless powder using cellulose (usually cotton), car battery acid, and nitric acid. (There are videos on how to make nitric acid from things you can buy at the store) This will make nitrocellulose. You can similarly make nitroglycerin.
I would say this is your most squared away video to date. Only thing I would add is MRE's........You can't beat the shelf life.....they're waterproof, matches, caffine, shit paper etc.
Have you guys considered the usefulness of the Henry Mini-Bolt as a bugout or survival rifle? The rifles weighs about the same are 500 rounds of .22 ammo, it's small, stainless steel and polymer and it's quite accurate. I bought these for my boys first rifle and quickly realized how perfect it is for packing.
No one ever wants to HAVE to hurt/kill anyone, but when you commit to the defense of yourself or family, you have to develop a fighting mindset. I think the mental aspect of survival is 90%, the other 10% is skillset. In either situation you can't be week of mind.

Love you guys. You are a breath of fresh air. Thanks for the videos!
Tactical solutions now makes a very nice barrel for the 10/22. I intend on buying it. It is 12.5 inches long but this is the beauty of the design, it has another 4 inch barrel shroud that doesn't come off making it 16.5 inches overall. This is so you can attach your suppressor and keep the rifle short with no need for an SBR tax stamp or 6 month wait :-)
you guys and kickok45 are the only gun channels i like on UA-cam.
getting fancy with the camera angles lol. i like.
Can't wait for those survival videos!
Very right Barry and Eric knowledge is power!

Eric, thanks for your service! I would be honored to shake you hand! thanks again
Happy Labor Day to all you folks as well!
A friend of mine lives there. He said he wished he had stocked up more on candles and batteries. When the power is out, night is pretty dark. Some easy food too. At least a week worth of food and light.
Great video guys. I really enjoy what you do here.
That's a good start - you will still be better off then most other people
I don't know much about prepping. ( learning though)
My new mother in law has benn prepping for the worst for many years. (solar panels, water well, food storage)
She just says that the best thing for me and the wife is to have good route to her place in the maintains when shtf happens.
i thought last weeks gun gripes was well put & informative, thx guys.
When I was in the Navy, I worked closely with Navy SEALs. They are THE most professional, honest, and easy going guys I've ever met.
Glad to hear a shout-out to Cody Lundin! Another great GG episode, boys.
All videos have been great thanks for putting them out.
Don't forget community & family. People are more effective when they collectively work together with different talents & abilities.
These guys were soldiers can teach us so much
Have you guys considered the usefulness of the Henry Mini-Bolt as a bugout or survival rifle? The rifles weighs about the same are 500 rounds of .22 ammo, it's small, stainless steel and polymer and it's quite accurate. I bought these for my boys first rifle and quickly realized how perfect it is for packing.
No one ever wants to HAVE to hurt/kill anyone, but when you commit to the defense of yourself or family, you have to develop a fighting mindset. I think the mental aspect of survival is 90%, the other 10% is skillset. In either situation you can't be week of mind.
This was another good video fellas! Keep up the good work.
makes alot of sense. Looking forward to seeing some videos on basic prepping. We all need to keep a mind set of "what if?" and what will we do then?
That's a very good point. Only makes them ever so slightly more palatable when you put it that way.
