You can't make bad people harmless by making good people helpless.
You can't solve problems with bullets. Most Criminals are opportunists who aren't looking for a fight, just a quick score. You'd just be shooting people who weren't going to do anything in the first place. The only harm that comes is when both parties have weapons.
Going to the store and getting a gun including the background check takes about 15 ,20 minutes in the state I live in it’s really not a hindrance. I’m not paranoid about the government coming to get my legally purchased firearms as a matter of fact the far right in the USA concerns me much more than the government 🤔
@@KCBluesJams In fact I think it’s safe to say that the Republicans (ironically) have done more to harm gun owners federally than the democrats ever have.
"None of us would have bought one with a two inch barrel" 🤣 Perfect soundbite

Where guns are illegal, only criminals will have guns.
Greetings from Spain, I encourage you to defend 2A
And unfortunately that's starting to happen in Spain. Heartbreaking but not unexpected. Thanks for your support, Señor Robles.
Mr. Ayoob's angry voice is legitimately terrifying
Imagine being a criminal while he was on the force and hearing his commands. I'd soil myself.
He’s angry for YOU and you need to be thrilled he is trying to preserve your rights as a free human being.
My wife used to be anti gun before she met me. She understands the importance of self defense now and is all about it. That being said, some if my in laws see it as me “corrupting her”. All I can respond with is “no, I’m making sure she had the means and ability to defend herself if it ever came to that. Would you rather her end up assaulted, robbed, and/or dead, or would you rather her be able to stop anyone who would wish her harm?”. She’s not a big girl, and we obviously work at two separate places. I want her to come home every night safe and in one piece. It’s sad that some people see that way of thinking as sick and twisted. It’s almost like I care about her well being more than half of her own family.
Very good. That won't change how her family feels about it, but it does mean that they can't press the topic any further without you being able to call them out as caring more about a philosophy than your wife's ability to save her own life
There are two types of people in this world, those who see danger and think “I must prepare“ . Then there are those who see danger and think “it won’t happen to me”. Evil always has its greatest success when it comes in contact with the latter.
Perhaps you do. It's sick, but leftist ideology trumps concern for just about everything else in their lives.
Sounds like, "soft ignorance & low expectations of the conscience mind," is what comes to me after reading your comment.
I am in my later 60s and have read and listened to him since I was 18 years old. He is one of the most erudite gun rights advocates.
Yes. I have read his books. And John Lott's books on gun laws. And John Grit's books on freedom.
Wow, Brian... because I just found him last week on the 23rd & I can see why you've been listening to him for so long is because he knows how to "get the message out there" & I can't disagree with that 😎👍

and some claymore mines, hell, better get a suitcase nuke too, since "it's better to have it and not need it" lol
How can you swear by a stupid catchphrase for 50 fucking years and never consider that you can die by your own gun - and maybe those odds are greater than being a fucking "hero".
Antonin Scalia said it best in District of Columbia v. Heller...
"But why isn't it perfectly plausible, indeed reasonable, to assume that since the framers knew that the way militias were destroyed by tyrants in the past was not by passing a law against militias, but by taking away the people's weapons... that was the way militias were destroyed. The two clauses go together beautifully: Since we need a militia, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
My sound bite argument for the claim the the 2A is about the national guard is: It doesn't say the right of the states, or the right of the militia, or the right of the militiamen, it says the right of the people, the same people that is universally understood to mean individuals every other time it's mentioned in the constitution.
It says we’ll regulated 🤨not unregulated 🧐 constitution.congress.gov/constitution/amendment-2/#:~:text=A%20well%20regulated%20Militia%2C%20being,Arms%2C%20shall%20not%20be%20infringed.
Question? If a Politician advocates for Anti-Gun Laws, aren't they violating their "Oath of Office" to "Protect and Defend the Constitution" so help me God? If so they should be removed.
@@KCBluesJams it’s also well understood the use of “well regulated “ in the context of the second amendment means well trained and provisioned, not controlled by the government lol
100% correct. Just throw that in the healing pile of hypocrisy that is attached to 2A abolitionist. I wish all we had to do was re-educate our fellow citizens on our 2A Rights. I strongly believe that 80-90% of the people could be ardent supporters of the second amendment and our government representatives would still pursue a total ban on guns. They want powerless subjects. People like Bedo dream of a day where the citizens have no ability to meaningfully resist their tyranny. They are willing to say and do anything to make that happen. It’s never been more clear in my opinion. Politicians now shamelessly advocate for obstinate refusal of Supreme Court rulings. That ideology is impossible to debate and very tough to beat. They hold the power.
We need to get Massad on more media platforms -- he is an excellent speaker for our cause.
there is no cause anymore. All discussions basically ended after Sandy Hook, when it was decided killing children is bearable.
I am very sad to say this, but he has to do tiktok if he is not. All the retards live on ticktok.

There are more like him out there.. many very very very qualified and honest men; it is a dishonor to all of mankind and God.. that we allowed it all to go down when we clearly had far better men to lead the future.
"... None of us ever would've bought one with a 2-inch barrel." Got me! 🤣
Always a pleasure listening to your presentations. Formerly of the 'other side,' it was discussions just like this that opened my eyes to the truth. Thank you for standing at the fore of the fight for our rights.
I've been reading and listening to Mr Ayoob since the early 80's. He is a national treasure.
"Ask a Ukrainian." The shortest pro-2A sound bite on record.
No, that's stupid.
Does the USA (a country virtually impossible to invade) can be compared to Ukraine ? Nope.
Best argument for the 2A : it was written to allow the people of America to defend their democratically elected government against some groups worshiping tyranny. The January 6th 2021 has shown that the 2A is more needed than ever.
Sure we could do that....except we're talking about the US so I'm not sure a non US citizens opinion, concerning our constitution, holds much weight with most. It certainly wouldn't with me.
The people, in Ukraine, who wanted to defend their Country, went to the Government and asked for a Weapon. They HAD to show PROOF that they were from Ukraine with Papers showing that they were in fact from Ukraine and they would get a Weapon after the Government had wrote the
Serial Number for the weapon and they signed their name next to the serial number!
There was a News Team at one place that were giving out Weapons to the Civilians. They asked, some of the people who were in line, if they had any Knowledge about how the weapons worked? Most of the people, said that they had An Idea of the workings but they weren’t sure how to Load it or how to get the Bullets into the Barrel so it would shoot!
The reporter said that these people, had no idea on how the weapon worked! After getting a Brief Overview of the weapon the Government gave each person 3 or 4 magazines and showed them where they were to go? The reporter said, these people had NO CLUE about SAFETY and that they only pointed their weapon at the enemy!
This Reporter said, at one of the areas where they were passing out Weapons, that one guy, shot everyone in the line, until it was empty! He told the Government that he didn’t know how to stop it from shooting!
A reporter said, the First Month, more Ukrainians were killed by their own people, all because they didn’t know how to use the weapons that were given!
Up until a few years back, you could have asked a Holocaust survivor.
That sounds more appropriate.... assuming they're a US citizen I wouldn't have any problem with listening since they are American. 🫡🇺🇸
Massad Ayoob is a national treasure.
You are a warrior-monk, Massad. Eternal thanks for staying in the fight.
Concealed carry for 40yrs and never had to shoot anyone yet, hope I never have to but I will not ever be a victim of crime.
Great talking points. I like to reference the case of Reno vs ACLU when someone mentions the 2A was not written for todays firearms. In that case the court decided that the 1st amendment applied to the internet as much as it applied to books and newspapers. On another note, few months ago while in San Diego for work, I overheard a group of younger people talking while I was out for dinner. One person said to the other group, I have a firearm and a license to carry. You have to jump through hoops but its better to have it and not need it. Made me smile to know even in such an anti gun state, people still want to be able to defend themselves.

Thank you for your presentation. I joined the Second Amendment Foundation as a result of watching it.

This is only convincing to the gun crowd and people with insufficient knowledge and education. his arguments have many flaws.
Dear Massad Ayoob,
Thank you again and again for the insights shared with us from your considerable careers related to personal safety and responsible behaviors.
Good talk. I am British born and now live in the USA, in no small part because I wanted to be able to exercise the rights defined in the Bill of Rights. The 1689 Bill of Rights!
The sad part is our second amendment is based on the Magna Carta. To me the 1989 law seems treason. Glad you are here.

Your calm and cool explanations of these things is always amazing Sir. I can't say the rest of us are that calm in our debates on this critical issue in this day.
That's detrimental to our cause though. Remaining calm, even during a heated debate can prove first hand, that we gun owners, who edc are NOT just going to fly off the handle and go homicidal. I've had many a debate where the person I'm talking to scares me more than any gun ever could. If not for their rhetorical responses, but for their inability to understand why the 2nd amendment was included in the 1st place.
Thank you, Mas. What beautiful clarity you've brought to the debate. You, sir, are a National Treasure!
I recall that during world war 2, one Japanese officer said, "do not invade America. There will be a gun behind every blade of grass." That's good enough for me.
Awesome! Respect from Australia
Unfortunately, I've experienced something a little different when the "Jekyll and Hyde" argument, as you call it, has been presented. These people (at least the one's I've encountered) actually believe that the trigger pulls the finger, rather than the other way around. I can only sum it up this way: I've never met anyone who's afraid of guns. I have, however, met a great number of people who are afraid of themselves. They genuinely believe that if they have the capacity to cause harm, they will be compelled to cause harm. They simply don't trust themselves with, what they perceive to be, that kind of power. They then project that instability on the rest of us.
I agree with you, Mr. Ayoob, that they are in dyer need of psychiatric treatment. Where I disagree is our apparent respective perceptions of just how many of them there are.
God Bless.
Stay well.
"if you ever exaggerate *once* you've lost the debate"
you literally cannot ever take this out of context. it applies to any debate. it applies to your character.
Mr. Ayoob, this is an excellent video! Thanks!

All gun laws are infringements, and I say, they shall not be complied with.

Sure as shit, shall not be infringed
When people ask me about “common sense”, I ask them about “common sense” speech restrictions. For example, banning the use of firearms in movies. No more “Die Hard”. The exception is historical movies, i.e., “Saving Private Ryan”. Next, no more electronic games featuring gun use and violence. No more “Call of Duty”, “GTA”, and the like. It’s amazing how fast the conversation changes.
On point! You about covered it all. Great episode
Massad, thank you for bringing your wisdom, knowledge and experience to the big issues facing the 2A community. I appreciate your presentations and you have a lot to bring to every subject. Thank you for your efforts and your videos.
My best argument is COME AND TAKE IT.
If 2A is erased, they will take all of the guns. There is no chance for an individual to stand against the government. So don't let the 2A be erased
Mr. Massad Ayoob : discoving you on the Wilson Combat channel has been inspiring, However after watching you in this video , Bravo! My Hero ! Mr.Ayoob for President ! I really respect your maturity and wisdom. It must really great for family people and friends that know you personally .
Once again I will use this video to share to others why they’re misguided when speaking about human rights.
That was gold. Thank you
Great video. Facts and logic over emotion and ignorance
Although your post is right on we must consider it's our facts and logic competing against the emotion and ignorance of a liberal. These are the same people that think climate change will end the world in (current year + 12) years. "Shall not be infringed." PERIOD.
Auzzie here. I was held up at gun/knife-point in armed robbery a while ago. I had nothing to defend myself with. I was completely helpless and at mercy against thes two assailants. The perpetrators surely didn't have any problems with the fact they had a firearm and knife, and they certainly made it clear they were going to blow my brains out, however didn't in the end. There weren't any police in close proximity to provide me with protection so you can throw that argument out the window. They were caught, charged with three offences, however served no jail time, again a slap on the wrist.
I have learned two tale signs of purposeful collapse of society by the powers to be of a totalitarian government/elites;
1. Take the peoples weapons/rights to defend themselves away.
2. Enable crime.
If anybody tells you that Australians are still permitted to defend themselves is clearly disconnected with who's side the justice system is backing.
Never forget, God help us all.

I am waiting for my background check to clear so I can hold a WCL in Georgia and make a purchase. As I ingest as much knowledge as possible in the interim, what has struck me repeatedly is the reiteration that I should use everything at my disposal to try NOT to use the weapon/tool that will be attached to my belt. That part does not get much airtime. Mr. Ayoob, thank you for being a guiding light and a constant presence in the fight for what is right.

As it is I'm gonna need my gun when they kick down my door to take my gas stove & load it on to a train that derails later that day, that the government doesn't seem to care or want to do anything about.
I’ve owned guns since 1952 when I was 14. In my younger days I was a hunter and target shooter. Now I
just target shoot. The NRA was an organization that catered to sportsman and their magazine,
(American Rifleman), mainly featured guns that were meant for hunting and target shooting i.e. bolt
action, lever action and pump action guns. There were a few semi-autos such as the Remington 750
with a magazine capacity of 4 rounds. However the most famous gun editors of the last century (Jack
O’Connor, Pete Brown and Warren Page) who were the gun editors for Sports Afield, Field and Stream
and Outdoor Life, advised against semi-autos because they were less accurate than a quality bolt action
and emphasized fast shooting rather than a well placed first shot. Those experts all emphasized
attempting to kill humanely with one shot. A follow up shot may be necessary but a bolt action, lever
action or pump action could be worked fast enough to get that done. In those days, the NRA
emphasized marksmanship and safety training.
Today, the NRA should rename itself the National Gun Manufacturer’s Association(NGMA). It’s
promotion through advertising of large magazine capacity semi-auto rifles, puts many of those weapons
in the hands of people who have little or no training in how to safely use them. Many live in urban areas
where there are no nearby shooting ranges and no possibility of receiving proper training. They have no
knowledge or the means to store them safely so many are stolen. Frequently, family members are killed
because of unsafe storage and handling. The same can be said for high capacity semi-auto pistols.
Today’s NGMA is focused solely on profit and ethics be damned.
Without realizing it, the NGMA’s American Rifleman magazine provides the best evidence as to why
these high magazine capacity weapons are not necessary for self defense at home. There is a regular
feature in the magazine entitled The Armed Citizen. It describes situations where a home or business
owner was confronted with an intruder and utilized a gun for self defense. I read that monthly feature
article for decades. ( I canceled my membership in the NRA years ago out of disgust). With rare
exceptions did the man or woman fire more than 4 shots to stop an attack .
great to see a syrian american, as syrian american myself and 2A supporter
Excellent - as always. Thanks
The paintjob on that rifle in the background is fantastic. I couldn't stop staring at it.
I worked at Menards for a period of about 3 years. In that time, at least 18 people asked me to take them to the specific sizes of pipe fittings commonly used to manufacture pump guns (I started keeping count after the first few).
Several of these people had brought in either pictures or print-out assembly instructions for reference. Three asked me outright if we had "pump gun kits," and were confused when I brought them to the caulking section, and one man actually brought in a live shell to test the fit of the gun he had assembled on the store floor. Thankfully he was willing to go get a spent shell from his vehicle instead of making a scene.
These were simple people who saw a UA-cam video or read something in a book, or heard about it from their friends. No welding, no chemical formulas. Just some screw-together steel, a nail, and a spring if you're feeling extra fancy.
Tell me modern gun control is effective, and I'll show you about $27 worth of parts and tools that would disagree. It's pageantry, not policy.

Well put, Massad. I especially appreciate your explanation, regarding the arguement disposing the concept of a 'militia', as referring to the National Guard.
Thank you, Mas. It is refreshing to hear some new responses to gun control side.
I'm a American citizen "free will" NOT a British subject!!!
Mr Ayoob, I have a great respect for you and would like to preface my question with the comment that as a member of The Liberal Gun Club, I am indeed a reluctant gun owner (lots of crazy people out there).
Here is my comment/question… I believe in the Second Amendment, just as I believe in all of the amendments to the constitution equally. However, we keep harping on the 2nd amendment, and we seem to gloss over one word: “REGULATED”. I have yet to hear anyone speak about this part of the amendment.
I believe all of us have the right to protect ourselves and our families and now, unfortunately, protect others lives as well.
I am getting fed up with the UA-cam channels such as USCCA, the NRA, etc pushing gun rights while condemning every Democrat for trying to change the laws. Why aren’t we allowing individual states to vote on these issues instead of assuming every gun owner believes the same thing (even Trump supported gun control measures-yup, look it up).
I still don’t believe that someone needs thousands of rounds of ammunition along with AR-15’s and AK-47’s to protect their family and their home. I wonder if this is what the founding fathers were referring to when they used the phrase “well-regulated”.
Anyhow, I’m sure I’ll get lots of hate here, but I genuinely want to know your thoughts on this confusing part of the second amendment.
By the way, I love your teaching and always look forward to your UA-cam posts and lessons!
Mr. Ayoob, this video of yours should be shown at the beginning of every CWP class in the country...👍

I really like the 10-10-80%! It makes sense to me. I think I’ve been working too hard trying to argue with that 10% that won’t move. Thanks for the new perspective!👍👍👍
I have always have the same philosophy but now have a name for it. Alway deal with the people in the middle. They are the ones you can influence.
The Best!
Driving and registering a car is a privilege, owing a gun and protecting yourself is a right. Massad is the man!
What is your best short argument to use against gun control?
The globalists need America disarmed.
Criminals, by definition, do not obey laws.
"Nobody's coming to save you."
“People” in the second amendment means the same thing as “people” means in the other amendments including the 4th for example. That’s the way legal interpretation works.
Why do you think the government wants guns? Now apply that same line of reasoning to the people. If this argument doesn't work, at least it changes the terms of the argument from who likes children more to who likes government tyranny more
