Don't panic. I'm textbook INFJ. But I've also typed as INFP, INTJ and INTP. I've done at least 8 different tests to be sure I'm INFJ. I also analyse and question the shit out of everything, and can fit in with and appear as (or be mistaken for) anyone. And I find many of the MBTI test questions extremely simplified and obviously leading. I could answer 'yes, no and somewhat' to most of those questions and it would all be correct, depending on my head space and circumstances. 🗿 Love your vids, Frank! It's reassuring watching the swirling, abstract, self-torturing mind you have and knowing I'm not the only one. 😊

which one is that test you refer to ? I would like to try it, if there is chance I can end up not being INFJ ;-)...many times do not enjoy being infj ;-), need some change . (and would be curious whether I get also ISTJ).
@Wendy French @Katarina T i would say go watch C.S. Joseph's video on UA-cam called "How Do We Use The Type Grid?". It's a very simple and fast way, and you don't have to do a questionnaire really - you're just eliminating options.
5:50 I get that questions that ask whether you like to use "logic" are basically "thinking or feeling" questions. But I feel like those questions were formed based on a misunderstanding, or even a prejudice. Just because I'm a feeler, it doesn't mean that I don't value or am incapable of using logic. The assumption that feelers don't use logic is highly insulting to their intelligence. Christ.
I found a test (maybe the Cloverleaf one ?) that asked if you admired and were envious of other people that are really ~logical~ so it spoke a bit to that "I value Thinking a lot but maybe aren't just awesome at it = I might be a Feeling type. "
It’s also offensive to thinkers because the test kind of confuses being more cerebral with being of low emotional intelligence based on how they word the questions/results. I find that the categories are too absolute, especially considering that the results don’t account for balances of type. The wording of questions also occasionally invites misinterpretation or alternate ways of looking at them, thus rendering attempts to label each type in a strict fashion futile. (lol you can probably guess what type I am)
There are so many problems with the questions in these tests. Most of them are far too vague. "Do you prefer to use logic and reason?" No, I prefer to always be unreasonable and do illogical things, duh! "Are you uncomfortable with your emotions?" Well, that depends on the emotion doesn't it? I don't think anybody is uncomfortable feeling happy. A better question would be: "Do you usually understand why you feel the way you do?" That would test how strong Fi is. "Do you prefer hard data over theory?" Again really depends on the situation. All people usually like hard data and facts to some degree because they give the world structure and make it easier to understand. I like knowing the fact that if it's colder than 0 degrees C there might be ice on the road so I should take care not to slip and fall.
Pretty much every test that is multiple choice, or true false, I want to write essays for. Because the answer is always "It depends....." some questions make assumptions, multiple assumptions, and don't define terms. Here is an awkward question on a TRUE/FALSE test: Q: I am relieved that my thoughts about sex no longer bother me. T/F Well now. It assumes I think about sex, which may or may not be true. Should ask that question separately. It further assumes that the thoughts "bother" me, which again, assuming that I actually have these thoughts at all about sex, why would they bother me? Maybe I enjoy them. Then it makes a 3rd assumption that 1. I DO think about sex, 2, Those thoughts "bother" me, and 3 those thoughts No longer bother me. Hmmm, why would that be? Did the thoughts stop, or did I embrace the thoughts, were they horrible thoughts to begin with? And WTH kind of question is this anyway? What are they getting at? Shouldn't we be more concerned with people who think about sex with animals or something and are NOT bothered by it?
Totally agree. And the way they created them the formula (maths related I think someone made mention of this being how they do it) isn't that great either. Would you agree it is better - more reliable to just go and read be it online or from a recommended book the cognitive functions to figure what ones type happens to be?
"My fellow americans"... what if I told you I'm infact a Norwegian. Am I somewhat excluded from this video? Am I not allowed to be here? This raises so many questions for me since I do consider myself a frisky pony, but not an american.
When Frank says "my fellow Americans", he is quoting former American President Richard Nixon. Nixon would often begin his speeches with those words. So in America, when we use the phrase "my fellow Americans", it means that we're about to begin an "important" speech-- but usually in a tongue-in-cheek (teasing, non-serious) manner, as Frank is using it. So please don't take "Americans" literally.

Almost everyone who is tested for autism winds up at least, ‘on the spectrum.’ The same thing for most other social disorders. How convenient, not suspicious at all that we are diagnosed with something we are concerned about…🤔. By the way doctor, I need a bag of weed for my pain. How convenient that I suddenly have scoliosis! BTW that’s an amazing job, good for you.

My usual result is INFJ, but I got INTJ one time. It was right after I spent 5 years as an Army linguist. During that phase of my life, I felt like I couldn’t be overly sensitive, due to the nature of the military culture. These 16 personalities videos have confirmed that I’m a true INFJ though.
"What do you mean by 'YOU PEOPLE?!'" Fellow INFJ here-- and juuuuust before you said it, I thought it. Then dismissed it. Then you said it. And I laughed so loud I had to pause. Thanks, Tank!
As a fellow INFJ I laughed so hard when FJ saw the result because I remember also getting ISTJ when I tried that Psych Central test before. "I'm a fraud." Haha. Damn, the Impostor Syndrome...
I come as an INFJ always, no matter what test I do. Also I’ve listened to you since you started literally. Since just a few INFJs followed you, the very beginning and I have to admit that sometimes I’ve doubted if you are an INFJ. I wouldn’t be able to say why though. One day a long time ago I even asked you if there were different types of INFJs because of the same reason and you answered me “yes, there are different types or kinds (who knows I don’t remember your words) of each personality.” So maybe you really are one but we are all different INFJs (?) I don’t know much about the subject as you do.
I hate when these personality tests ask if you use logic, facts, or your head. Like who's going to say they're not logical? This is why I kept testing as INTJ when I'm an INFP.
I got ISTJ on that test too: for the first time ever! The official paid test I did was back in my twenties and I got INTP. I have always identified with INTP ever since I analysed and overanalysed my P/J preference. I think I have developed my sensing skills with age as I have had to do that to survive in this world. Need to empty out the kitty litter tray! (not that I have a cat).
Took Myers Briggs test in highschool, got INFJ. Had to do a personality test at work called DISC, got Golden Retriever. (I work at an animal hospital) It said one of my stressors was making decisions. 😄 Just remember Frank... "You may be wrong but you're not lying" 😄😀 Really enjoyed the video man! Have a great day FJ! :)
I've developed a really good sense for these things, and what's funny is I can see your Ni all over this video. There's just like a subtle detachment to reality. It's almost like you can tell there's more brain RAM being used for an internal process than the talking. Ni recognizes Ni.
I’m an Infj but all my decisions are spontaneous /: the most important thing for me is that I am the one making them as I want and feel comfortable with.. I really have severe mood swings so I don’t like hooking myself to a specific plan, keep my options open all the time is what really makes me relaxed..
I don't know Lara, I just don't know, he seemed plausible enough, maybe that's what ISTJ's do, they draw you in with The Beatles and beards and stuff....The Outlaw Tank James.
Lol, I kinda waited for you to make a video about it, I'm so happy! It's funny because I re-did the MBTI test for about 45 times now?? And (additionaly reading into the MBTI stuff) I'm pretty sure that I'm definitely an INFJ. But sometimes my results were ENFP (mostly next to INFJ results), ENFJ, INFP and ESTJ...and then I thought "Huh, maybe I prefere A LOT of the cognitive functions hmm" :D But anyhow, still enjoying the shit out of your videos and really loved this video in particular! :)
Ok, Frank "the Tank" James. Love that you did an Autism test first. My kid's ASD high functioning and I recently tested INFJ. Did have a moment trying to see if there was a connection between ASD and INFJ.
Great video TJ! Good to see you wrestling with the test, exactly how I take them, they are so ambiguous. I'm happy now to be untyped (tho I do have some sneaky suspicions?).
It’s ok for 2 long years I have thought I was and INTJ and studied who I am because of it. Recently I discovered that I’m not really an INTJ but instead an INFJ. Now I feel like I don’t who I am. My life is a lie. I don’t think I fit into any personality, and am having an identity crisis.😭
Okay, I started out taking one or two of these tests, and both times, I was labeled as enfp. Turns out that reading about enfp and thinking "Oh, wow, this is cool" and reading about enfp and thinking "Oh, wow, this is me." And yet, every single video I see of yours outlines every self doubt and fear and internal criticism I've had in the past 4 years. Oh, yeah, self criticism, that sounds like enfp.
This guy is the *first* funny INFJ I have come across. I used to test a lot ESTJ but I'm an ISFP 🙃 I also get ISFJ, ISTP, INFP, ESTP, ENFJ online tests are funny.
i like to think that when a test result comes back somewhat “misTyped” it could be from this probable reason-we tend to answer questions based on what we would ideally like to answer, rather than what/who we truly are. Fact is, as INFJ’s we are constantly emoting and judging what and how that makes us feel and how it affects those around us (if there’s anyone even around anymore)
Interestingly enough, the ISTJ function stack is Si-Te-Fi-Ne, which are INFJ's weakest functions if you consider all 8. Perhaps your efforts in self-improvement have rubbed off? Haha. Nonetheless, I still think you're an INFJ at your core.
The only thing that stuck out was when you said you'd rather go to the theatre than to a museum. I thought Frank hated sitting through a movie and doesn't really watch them? :o
I hate the feeling/thinking questions. I just alternate my answers XD but somehow I always end up with INFJ so maybe the test senses my indecisiveness lol
As a ENFP, I appreciate being called cool! Thank you for the compliment. Most people I know just call me a nerd, but I’m OK with that. I embrace my nerdness..... what if I make nerd cool?!? Whoa...
If would get this type of test and had Result for an ISTJ... then I would say that that website is tampered... FYI:I already take multiple accurate result(5x) on different websites... and it just gives in the end INFJ... 6x if including this type but would maybe have the ISTJ result cause most of his answers are like what would I choose in that Question... but preferebly end up maybe INTJ but I am sure I am INFJ
Love how you said “maybe this test is flawed” More people should research the Myers Briggs personality test. Before buying into it. Granted I found it extremely fun, and thought INFJ was quite fitting for me. At least with where I’m at currently.

I actually enjoy “John’s personality test,” online for some reason, which has been shown to me to be more accurate. Based on my mood of the time of day I take it, I either get INTP or ENTP.

Oh please. You are SO INFJ. INFJs can doubt their own existence. ;-)
That's an INFP thing. It's all about Extroverted Intuition. The way he talks isn't like the typical INFJ either.
@Debbie Bjork,
I often have wondered what I am. It seems I am everyone and everyone is me.
OMG so true! 😂

Love your vids, Frank!
It's reassuring watching the swirling, abstract, self-torturing mind you have and knowing I'm not the only one. 😊
Idk, INFJs are stereotypically the ‘’I don’t have a soul, I’ll just be whatever you want me to be, no one notices me, so I’ll adapt to match your Personality, when I am around you’’, so following the world of Cliches, you sound pretty INFJ to me :)
Testing has mostly been INxP but I'm an INTJ and after researching mbti I've also thought maybe ENTP or INFJ
@@cerebrummaximus3762 Nice brain you have there. Want to rent mine? It produces extra energy. 😆

I've been professionally tested more than 10 years ago and got INFJ, I've tested myself a couple of times in the last two years... same result. I just tried the same test you took... got ISTJ too. I think this test is not the best. You're the fisrt INFJ I've heard and watched and to be honest, it was like seeing my own self with a guy's face (freaky but comforting). I think you should keep the FJ status.. this site is trying to wipe out the weirdos.
How do you get professionally tested? My school had me take the actual MB test every year 7-10th grade and I got INFJ every time.
Rebekah rathe online I’ll either get INFJ or INFP. I see both in me - I LOVE digging deep and can literally skip eating and drinking (FJ) but I also have a ton of little half done projects going on and can’t finish one thing when I clean (FP). I do love finishing, but it sure can take a long time because other things get my attention. Ugh!!
@@rebekahrathe9248 Interesting I only know that even those that love Myer-Briggs feel it is best to read the functions to figure ones type out not the free tests or paid myer briggs one.
which one is that test you refer to ?
Christ.
Yes
Whole MBTI test is BS.
This!
Rambling Rapscallion amen
Pretty much every test that is multiple choice, or true false, I want to write essays for. Because the answer is always "It depends....."
some questions make assumptions, multiple assumptions, and don't define terms.
Here is an awkward question on a TRUE/FALSE test:
Q: I am relieved that my thoughts about sex no longer bother me. T/F
Well now.
Recovering Soul I’m getting concerned about that sex-question writer. Stop it. Get some help.
thank you. I always have difficulties because most of the time, it depends on the situation.

This raises so many questions for me since I do consider myself a frisky pony, but not an american.
me to I am not an American what's that mean.

As an INFJ, I was wondering why you have so many videos on us. This explains how you understand so well the enigma that we are.
I come as an INFJ always, no matter what test I do. Also I’ve listened to you since you started literally. Since just a few INFJs followed you, the very beginning and I have to admit that sometimes I’ve doubted if you are an INFJ. I wouldn’t be able to say why though.
One day a long time ago I even asked you if there were different types of INFJs because of the same reason and you answered me “yes, there are different types or kinds (who knows I don’t remember your words) of each personality.” So maybe you really are one but we are all different INFJs (?)
I don’t know much about the subject as you do.

That’s part of the Introverted Intuition I believe. :)

Lol, I kinda waited for you to make a video about it, I'm so happy! It's funny because I re-did the MBTI test for about 45 times now?? And (additionaly reading into the MBTI stuff) I'm pretty sure that I'm definitely an INFJ. But sometimes my results were ENFP (mostly next to INFJ results), ENFJ, INFP and ESTJ...and then I thought "Huh, maybe I prefere A LOT of the cognitive functions hmm" :D
But anyhow, still enjoying the shit out of your videos and really loved this video in particular! :)
Ok, Frank "the Tank" James. Love that you did an Autism test first. My kid's ASD high functioning and I recently tested INFJ. Did have a moment trying to see if there was a connection between ASD and INFJ.
I didn't know people thought you were a fake INFJ so I am doing the research myself.

I feel like I don't fit in any personality, too.
This has got to be one of the funniest and TRUE thing about the MBTI tests that I have ever seen. Thank you!
This guy is the *first* funny INFJ I have come across.

online tests are funny.
I'm ISFP too but I always get INFP lol
He is not an INFJ. I see alot of Ne valuing in him.
i like to think that when a test result comes back somewhat “misTyped” it could be from this probable reason-we tend to answer questions based on what we would ideally like to answer, rather than what/who we truly are. Fact is, as INFJ’s we are constantly emoting and judging what and how that makes us feel and how it affects those around us (if there’s anyone even around anymore)
Quiet Frankly, Frank is absolutely the best role model ever.
Watching you take this test is probably the best time I have had in years thanks for sharing
I'm crying laughed when the Bgm came to play🤣 and ur expression is precious🤣lol
Interestingly enough, the ISTJ function stack is Si-Te-Fi-Ne, which are INFJ's weakest functions if you consider all 8. Perhaps your efforts in self-improvement have rubbed off? Haha. Nonetheless, I still think you're an INFJ at your core.
According to CS Joseph the ISTJ is the superego of the INFJ. So the ISTJ is the personality type that FJ feels that the world expects him to be.
Joey that’s quite insightful and quite in sync with what I saw during the test. Very nice phrasing!
The only thing that stuck out was when you said you'd rather go to the theatre than to a museum. I thought Frank hated sitting through a movie and doesn't really watch them? :o
