How can people dislike this....raw rock n roll . His band are class...and Freddie Mercury on the drums is relentless....
Yes, the ever surpizzzn Freddy.
One thing I will always love about George: yes he is the Destroyers front man HOWEVER he always steps aside and shows respect to the men who helped form his style. This isn't the first time he has had guest artists on stage and he never upstages them .
Yes!! He pays total homeage to AC!!!!
Helleo
He did a whole album to honor the Blues masters at Chess ♟ Records. (2120 S. Michigan Ave.)
You’re absolutely correct. 100%
So he was playing house of blues so I bought a cheap ticket. Got in line early. Asked the guy, where. And the guy said "floor"
Hold up. What?
Belly up to the bar bois, front and center. Damn my good luck. So a little blues band out of east Texas played for 45. Then Billy Bob Thornton and his blues band kicked it for another hour or so and the roadie came over to me to go back stage. And I said not today... And then there was George. Playing directly in my face and all I have to say is... I'll leave that to your imagination ;)
Holy fucking hell! Im 63 years old and this is the first time ive seen this shit. Why wasnt i notified. Incredible.
Welcome to earth . Third ROCK from the son !
Jawdroppingly awesome guitar work. One of my wife and my favorite vids: she died Friday, and this is one thing that lifts me right out of the black - you can't be depressed listening to this. I'll crank this up and know that she's listening, rockin' out to the afterlife.
Good wishes my friend.. Vinny UK
Sorry to hear about your wife.
I'm so very sorry for your loss RIP
OMG I'm so sorry for your loss. That is so sad. I'm sure she is with The Lord now
God bless your wife and you. You have a friend in Mexico, any time, Ok?. Love you man.
George throwing sparks with a slide and Albert Collins breaking a string and STILL
Master of the Telecaster....
This is music children.
Albert Collins, only 9 years later after this legendary concert with his great friend Thorogood & he tragically passes away from lung cancer at only age 61, a shame.
Great musician may he rest in peace
I knew Albert, he was a very kind, very humble man. But when he strapped on a Telecaster, he was the most bad ass player that ever walked the face of this earth. Him and George, friggin amazing together.
I love how Mr. Collins gets the telecaster to say Thank You if you listen close he gets that fender to speak. Imagine inviting a guitar legend to play on stage with you and he accepts the invite what a night this must have been to be there and see this live.
That’s F you pal 😅
Watch , he’s even mouthing it LoL
George just loves to jam. He's a pure musician.
THE most underrated guitar player of all time, period!
Albert Collins busted a string on his Fender Telecaster and kept right on jamming. Now that's how you play the guitar. Hard to believe that George Thorogood will turn 69 this month. And he's still playing that slide guitar like he's 19 years old. Yeahhh. Good playing, good singing, and how about that duet five minutes into the song. Great stuff.
Yep his the master
Brilliant stuff. Rory Gallagher was noted for changing a broken string on the run.
George is seriously ill right now. Pray for his recovery.

Fully recovered, as you can see.
And on the Telecaster five string Mr Albert Collins...
Just doesn't get any better than this! I've heard it all, this is the greatest song of all time,
This is what a great talent does. Keeps playin". He knows damn good and well his strings are broke. The show must go on. Albert Collins is a true talent.
This is one performer who knows how to put on a show the man could Rock!!!
Didn't realize George had Albert Collins with him here. What a treat, Albert was one of the greats, an absolutely original and unique stylist.
THIS is what is meant by the term "ROCK and ROLL"! Some damn great music
only a bow in the shadow of greatness can be an honest reaction . Respect my friends and thank you all .
AND ALBERT WITH A BROKEN STRING STILL SMASHING IT!!!!!
Albert breaks a string, and just continues playing.
I caught that. lol
Why stop? He's got 5 more...
Only 9 years later after this legendary concert & he tragically passes away from lung cancer at only age 61, a shame.
Great musician may he rest in peace
Albert breaks a string, and just sounds the same as before.
Cuz that's how the pros do it
Neither guitar player uses a pick - rare stuff. Love me some Ice man.
George has finger picks..that's what the rings on his fingers are..bad ass none the less 🤘
Albert doesn't even need 6 strings!
thorogood has got to be one of the most underrated guitarists, no? Gearjammer is such a sick song, along with most of his catalog.
+calixa Collins is a pretty good guitarist, but no, George Thorogood isn't. He does a good job with effects and distortion, but he's mostly just pounding on one chord the whole song, and almost all his songs are the same.
+Boyce Byerly Nothing like saying George isn't a good guitarist while at the same time, listening to Madison Blues without complaint...
pius the slide ? you don't like this you cant hear ! listen and love Diane . thx
Boyce, take this L just for that first name.
Boyce: 15 million album sales, 6 gold albums, 2 platinum. But keep telling yourself he's overrated due to his "effects". The man is nothing if notorious for being consistent for his Gibson ES-125TDC into a Fender Dual Showman. What kind of success have you had in the music industry again?
One of the best shows I have ever seen in my life. Love from South Australia xox
George Thorogood = He sure knows how to get the show on. One of my top favorites and best selection.
TWO OF THE MASTERS AT WORK
He loves what he does and we love that he does it. One of my all time favourite!
Sir Albert Collins ladies and gentlemen. The master of the telecaster. To be on stage, to share a room with this legend. Life? Completed it mate
Thorogood making the Ice Man play his best. What a performance!!
Albert shreds it like always
Who better than George and his. Buddy Albert Collins. This is the best RockNRoll Song that I've ever heard.i Love this music.62 and I've heard then all.
40 years ago and still the best!
it just don't get no better than that right there !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh the gold memories this brings back... I was carrying an M60 in the Battalion when I listened to this.
"What's say we bust up this joint?".... We barely had our drivers license ..And yet we hung it out to Passaic to see these cats!!! You have any idea what George and Alberts guitars would sound like today???...You can't put money on this..
Great entertainer, Thanks for being part of my life, George. ( thank-you too Albert.)

Cant wait george is playing nz Queenstown jan 2018 ...sold out so excited ...listened to him growing up
George you the man and will always be the best rock'n' roll man in my books! Damn right!
one of the best players ever!
Nobody leaves this place without singing the blues
Too bloody right, I once amazed a couple of friends by singing Mood Indigo and watch their faces as three very yappy Spanish little dogs all retreated from their fence to gawk in silence. It was very comical but only deep-felt blues can do that 💜
Saw this concert at the Capitol Theatre in Clifton, NJ
Wow! And not a mobile phone to be seen, good old days of going to a concert for the music instead of filming it :)
er..somebody DID go just to film it.
Thanks for filming all of that great music.
That's why we can listen and watch so many videos.
Thanks for Rock, Heavy Metal and Punk Rock.
Thanks to you all out there!
1984 not too many cell phone video
dumass, this wasn't filmed by a fan in the audience, guess you can't help trying to be cute though
@@Presenterbloke Bien sûr a Profesional!
Keep on rocking George. RIP Albert.
No one sounds like Albert, they why he's The Master. But the roar of that Gibson, George was underrated. Two amazing players just rippin it. You don't hear music like this anymore.
This is what music was always meant to sound
The drivel that is shoved in our ears today pales in comparison
Feel sad for todays younger people. They have absolutely nothing to compare to this. Great band, great music. And they have Justin Beiber
To me Lonesome George is one of the best Blues Compiler ever.
Al breaks his high note string, and just Burns it up!
Gregg P w

I saw him with the stones in Los Angeles prince got boo'd off the stage in the first 20 seconds then George played and he was doing a 50 state in 50 dates tour and set a record at the time then the J giels band followed up a killer performance by the stones ticket price 20 bucks of the best 20 bucks I ever spent in my life?
Mind blowing 😱
THIS AMAZING

It sure is damn good, even after 37 years!
I need this album.
I was lucky to see him at the Univ. of Delaware, and in Anchorage (Sullivan Arena).
