Thanx for your very clear and interesting dismantling and explanation of this engine. I enjoyed it very much. It is unimaginable that this combustion engine technology is both ingenious but so very flawed at the same time. Humanity has taken over 120 years to perfect this, but it goes this far and no further. It never gets better than this. Personally, I'm glad we're going to electric because it's many times more reliable than an internal combustion engine with only a tenth of the moving parts compared to an internal combustion engine.
Have you seen how those electric cars go up in flames? You have seconds to get because the car floor is basically a battery so when it goes up the lithium goes up in style and immediately.
not with this much detail or the instruction are all over the place, but for n52 i have not found any explaining how to take the timing chain real for example
Hey I have this engine and I will be a supporter! I have one question is it normal for these cars to have a loud but soft vibration on idle. I have replaced nearly everything over the years and it’s always had this vibration that seems to get worst on hills and when turning the wheel at slow speeds. Help would be appreciated 😍
yeah is probably you engine mounts but a little more vibrstion over the year will increase but it could be a number of thing that can make an engine vibrates to a normal feeling
Been looking for the correct chain removal and replace and this answered all my questions. Thanks
Thx for showing me how to take out timing chain and replacing it

I always thinking of "why we been running the same engine for more then 100 year?"

What other parts am I going to need ? When I replace the timing on a 2007 BMW 328i e90 That has the N52 engine?
timing chain, timing chain guide, tensioner, crank shaft sprocket, crank shaft center bolt, 2 cam shaft center bolts, valve cover gasket
is there any more videos on n52 on engine building , I think this is the only one

How old is this engine? How many miles?
Cause of death?

how about when you go crossing on freeway like about 60 mph, do you feel very settle vibration ?

@@bmwn5238 thanks bro! I agree eventually I’ll need to replace the mounts
@@SanDoval201970 nope I can floor the engine and it’s fine, but on idle it’s a bit shakey
Now why did he remove the oil pump drive
