In a new episode of his Andrew talks with a guest about exercising while fasting (it’s an episode dedicated to scientific research on women their fitness etc) and there she (the expert) recommends for women !not! To exercise on an empty stomach because (if I remember correctly) it increases cortisol and the amount of stress In the body. Sadly a lot of scientific „hacks“ are based on what works best for men and she explains what kind of things women should pay more attention to. If you’re interested I’d recommend it, they also talk about the best types of exercises for specific age groups, the menstrual cycle etc, it’s one of the most recent episodes.
Can someone pls creat a morning routine for the commuting/traveling for work people? 😭 All these videos make me ralise how some really talented and LUCKY people create these amazing life hacks not knowing/caring for those poor souls (like me) who have to travel a lot for work. For example I have 3 office days and 2 home office days a week. On office days I get up around 5-5.20 am and leave the house around 6-6.20 am to start work at 8 am. There is no way to complete this morning routine, especially in the Winter when the Sun rises later. 😣
I do 4 of those at once, typically. I go walking outside in the morning after I wake up, bringing a water bottle with me, so I get morning sunlight, hydration, and exercise - as well as meditation, since I use that time to focus on observing the plants and birds or focus on breath and form. I find it a lot easier to fit that into my day consistently than if each of those are separate. It sounds like now I should add a cold rinse when I get back, too! (I usually shower in the evening to remove the grime of the day before bed)
Absolutely love your channel, I love the quality of your content, how you structure it and test everything yourself 🥰Just a comment on the routine: Training on empty stomach is benefitial for men but bad for women due to how our hormones work. Huberman doesn't say that (at least I haven't seen it) and he doesn't need to, for him, but just thought I'd point it out!! Cheers xx
