In certain aspects, yes, but when it comes to gaming all three of the boys are just horribly informed and have the worst takes.
Like, the reaction to early access or DLC shouldn't be "fucking hate that shit!!!" when both have good reasons to exist and be good.
Vampire Survivors for example could've very likely flopped miserably without its early access to test if it even could have an audience and you won't see me complaining about 3$ DLCs every few months that gives the game 20 more hours of playtime as well.
also the brussel sprouts thing 1:53:09
A Dutch scientist in the 90s figured out which chemical in Brussels sprouts make them taste bitter, and then farmers worked on developing new varieties of sprouts with lower levels of this chemical, which is why they taste better now. Also, now more people know to fry or bake them instead of boiling them.
Sprouts and Broccoli baked in balsamic vinegar is awesome.
No way, is that why i hated them as a kid? Now they are actually quite nice. Interesting fact, thanks

I totally relate to Garnts driving anxiety. It just takes so much mental energy. Listening to music or podcasts help get through it sometimes.
I wholeheartedly agree with Garnt's take on driving. Shit's lowkey scary as fuck knowing that at any moment you may realistically need to make a split second decision which could determine the life/death of multiple people.
That's why you don't get on the road before you're confident enough to handle such a situation, well at least that's how it should be.

@@wesleywyndam-pryce5305agreed, it’s funny/scary to think about. When most people start driving (at least where i’m at in the US) they are horrible. I just think the average 17-18 yr old can’t drive. Honestly, just in general it takes a bit of experience and most people still can’t drive lol
@@nanobruvDon't forget how older people forget how to drive as well. Or don't care. We really should be forced to retake driving exams in order to make sure we can still drive properly.
1:35:46 The funny thing about Connor talking about DLC and how they should just make a new game is that The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom was originally going to be a DLC for Breath Of The Wild but there was so much ideas that they just made a second one which was so much better and more amazing elements while using the same engine and world. Garnt explained it perfectly on the whole driving is scary thing. For some reason, I get so much anxiety when I drive that it got to the point where I never want to drive again. At first I thought it was either a me thing or ADHD and it felt good to know that I wasn't the only one
Dude I know it’s the absolute worst
Makes me wish I lived somewhere with good public transport and not middle of nowhere Midwest America
I had those feelings a few months after i got my license, i don't think enough people take driving seriously, it's a good thing that you are aware of the dangers of it just don't let it get yo the point where you're constantly anxious doing it, use it to your advantage be extra aware of your surroundings and drive as good as you can, I think it will make you a better driver than most people, if anything I feel safer doing it myself than letting other people drive.
I think almost everyone has this. It lasts from like a few months to few years. It seems to almost always go away if you drive everyday.
Garnt was spot on driving anxiety. Unless I am the only car in the area, the anxiety is always there when I drive.

"Do you think food has peaked?" Is probably one of the best questions ever asked in this show. Their reactions solidified it 😂.
I love driving through open highways in the continental U.S. for extended periods of time. I can do it solo for 8-10+ hours at a time no problem. As an outdoorsman, I personally think it's cool watching the regions and natural scenery change from desert to plains to woodlands and everything in between depending on where you are driving through. Driving anxiety only hits me as soon as I get to large metropolitan cities, but it's okay though since I generally never stay in large cities for more than one night anyway.
That’s some cool insight
Joey's go-to being an 80's playlist reminded me that during my mom's 50th birthday last year, she already had a playlist of 70's through early 2000's R&B and soul music and I realized that's usually a really safe bet in the black community 😂 Nobody is going to yell at you for playing Aaliyah or Aretha. And because of that, those songs are comforting for me. Now, I don't want them blared every damn weekend like my prior neighbors did, but for infrequent get-togethers, it's great. Maybe now with those younger than say, 25, it wouldn't be liked and it depends on the mood wanting to be set, but to just relax to, it's a genre that's a safe bet. Also, I kind of peaked when it came to the music my people make somewhere around the mid 2000's, maybe early 2010's and have opted to now fill my playlists with weeb shit 😂 I've peaced out from most western music altogether, except for what's on the alt rock stations.
Also, regarding Garnt and his newfound interest in country...controversial hot take but I listened to Taylor Swift more when she did country than I do now. I literally first heard her not on the radio but on a TV channel called Great American Country. I'd been browsing the channel for months at a time, having already begun to like more bearable artists like Rascall Flatts, Toby Keith and Keith Urban. Seeing the video for "Teardrops on my Guitar" was magical. I know none of the songs she sings now but give me a song from that first album and I likely know all of the words to it. I still don't like country overall, but Taylor was palatable country, lol.

The thing I don't like about fajitas is there's never a pre-made fajitas option on the menu. Been writing letters to Mexico about this for years and they're always like "Tienes la dirección incorrecta" and "Déjame en paz", whatever that means.
I find it so funny that Garnt has to use so much mental capacity driving here in America meanwhile I'll auto pilot my way through cities/highways and not even remember how I got home 😂
Training military with VR goggles… as uncle Snake said, you don’t feel the threat of death playing a game you become desensitized

At the issue grant was having while driving of feeling the need to be on and not zone out, I am a local truck driver and I spend most of the time zoning out. It's an experience thing more than anything else. The more experience you have, the more you will feel comfortable and the more you will zone out, either in thoughts, music, audiobooks, etc.
I'm an American and I despise driving it is so unbelievably unfun
I am diagnosed with ADHD, and I agree with Garnt on his feelings on driving. It takes a lot more mental focus than the average person for us to drive safely. If someone is in the car talking to me, I sometimes can't respond to them if I'm focused on maneuvering something.
For longer drives, I always put on a podcast or vtuber stream to help me focus.
1:27 Joey just casually hitting perfect notes.
1:56:33 This might be the hardest I've seen Connor laugh in a TT episode 😆
I used to have a lot of driving anxiety and getting a car with Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) has helped immensely.
I had a lot of worry about drifting out of my lane and it kept me way too hyper attentive, but with driving assistants I can be confident I'm centered in the lane and keeping at the same distance from the guy in front of me.
I imagine cars will keep normalizing these assistants like how every car has a backup camera now and it'll help eliminate anxiety around driving and parking.
I'd argue, DLC is a good excuse to replay the game. If it's good enough, then that's why you'd buy more, to replay, support the devs and to have an extended experience. You'd hope they make the best of the earnings though with the next project, but that's not a sure thing.

I think this “VR is dystopian” talk is similar to how old people thought video games would hinder most people from enjoying any other game not in a virtual space. Even though those people certainly exist, I think it’s safe to say most of society rightfully clowns on those losers who indulge in stuff like that way to much. Everything, as long as you’re not wrongfully treading on someone else’s rights, is perfectly fine in moderation.
In the past 10 years, what widely popular piece of tech or app was less addictive then it's predecessor?
When we play a great game or watch a great movie, we typically say that we were immersed in it. If you're immersed in something, that means it has your full attention. And the whole point of VR is to increase immersion.
It's not VR itself that's dystopian. It's techs continual march to being better at getting and keeping your attention - because that leads to more financial success (hello gacha games and tiktok) - that's dystopian.

In the Victorian days, people used feathers as the fly, the more colorful the better, as fish were more attracted to them. Plastic ones exist today, but there is a niche group of hobbyists who collect colorful feathers from birds of paradise in papua new guinea, now being hunted to extinction because of it, raising the price of feathers. In 2009, Edwin Rist broken into a branch of the British Natural History Museum and stole a million dollars worth of bird specimens collected by Alfred Russel Wallace (the guy who independently discovered evolution at the same time as Darwin), and plucked all the colorful feathers to sell on ebay. These were traced back to him and he served a year in prison, and now plays flute covers of metal songs on youtube.

I can very much relate to Garnt when it comes to driving, I don't really enjoy it because I always feel a bit anxious about the "what ifs." When it comes to driving in my city it's fine because I know where everything is but once I get outside my city, I get a bit nervous and especially if I have to drive long distances.

100% understand Garnts point about driving and ADHD - off my meds, driving just scares the shit out of me because if my brain just decides to blink out of focus for a second it could cause an accident
Driving anxiety is a common form of anxiety, for the reasons Garnt mentioned. So long as you can think of any scenario that could lead to a crash (heart attack, passing out due to high stress) your anxiety can mount to a panic attack.
i can't put on my actual playlist at a party cuz every other song someone's gonna go "what the fuck are we listening to?!"
The difference between fly fishing and regular rod/reel fishing is: In fly fishing you are using the weight of the line to cast, it allows you to use a smaller and more delicate lure, a fly. In rod/reel fishing, you use the weight of the lure or bait to cast. It is addicting, and very satisfying when you get a good 50-60 foot cast.
About Discord showing what you listening. Isn't it optional? I remember you have to connect your Spotify account so the music would show as your status or something. So that means you want people to see what you're listening to. And if I remember correctly, you can also switch showing of your music as status off, without disconnecting the Spotify from Discord
49:31 Connor is right (never thought I would say that), there is a famous quote from Thomas Watson, president of IBM, who said "I think there is a world market for maybe five computers.". I have a grandparent on either side of my family who’s a doctor so I like to think that those pharmaceutical ads have no effect on me (I’m American btw). Trust your doctor people!
Im concerned with the ozempic craze, people could be potentially risking their mental health to loose a few pounds. Im sure it has its uses but i don't even want to take statins because of the side effects.
@@Imbatmn57ozempic is not dangerous for the vast majority of cases. It’s also not a couple pounds(it can be life changing loss). If you judge it at face value, it’s extremely scary. Once you research GLP-1 agonists and how they work, you realize it’s just a hunger modulator, and the side effects happen if you’re taking it as a crutch, have shitty genetics regarding aversion to the standard dosing(take less if that’s the case :) ). Besides semaglutide(the compound that is branded as Ozempic/Rybelsus/etc) is a gen 2 drug in GLP-1 agonist class of drugs. Trizapetide(the compound that is branded as Monjaro) is gen 3, and has less side effects but is more expensive. Like every other drug, newer gens will slowly lower or eliminate side effects(think blood pressure medication). Gen 4 & 5 are being developed too, so there’s that. Coming from an obese kid who’s now very “shredded” after a decade, I can tell you that most of my friends and family that use ozempic do it without the healthy habits like diet alteration and exercises. This causes them to need to take a larger dose to eat the same way they used to and still have enough hunger down-regulation to lose weight. If they ate healthier foods with less calories, more volume, more fiber, etc., they’d spend less money on the drug because they need a smaller dose, and they would experience less stomach issues from the drug(due to your body’s hunger hormones). Of course if you take the drug and now your hunger hormones are wanting you to eat half the calories that you usually do, but you still stuff yourself with the same amount, you’ll have digestive issues(like when skinny people try to bulk). That’s the extent of the side effects. It just helps you eat less, but some people use it as a crutch and get side effects. I know fitness people who use it properly with the other lifestyle alterations and have zero issues.
