    Man oh man..... Am I damn happy to see this. This reminds me of home. We'd catch our blues with chicken, gettir stinkin real nice and some string. Tie the chicken up to the string, tie string to a handle and thats it.
    This was done beautifully!

      The claw meat will works great with this recipe. Love the claw meat. We just crab and pick so much during the summer months, so we have plenty for the winter and off season when we can not crab.

    Cream of Crab is so good! Never made it myself but it's one of my favorites from home. Living away from MD so much these last few years I haven't had it in a while. Another thing for you to try would be making a "crab blend". It's half cream of crab and half regular MD-style crab soup served in the same bowl. That's really good too. Big fan of the channel keep the good recipes coming!

    Hi Rus!! Oh wow! If there is just one food I could only have it would either be sushi or soup, any soup! And this looks fantastic! And from someone that is a recipient of your kindness, this is fabulous! How wonderful for you to share this recipe. I love that you use the celery leaves as well. So much flavor and the poor guys always get left out. I'd use half & half too, lol! Works perfectly. Oh man, I am so hungry and very jealous that you got a bowl!

    Nee to your channel, as a Marylander we love what we call half and half or Chesapeake chowder. We mix a bit of red crab soup and half cream of crab soup.

    Heck ya Rus!! That so reminds me of my grandma's oyster stew recipe!!! Simple and delicious!!! This is something we cook up here once the leaves start to turn colors!!!     Just got done watching Frage' Cajun Crawfish post (from Eater) LA crawfish co, and now this dish!I may just have a C.O. and feel like i got LA in my blood. Could be the rum and cokes :) (edit)
    I gotta comment on the soup density.....lov lov the thickness. My problem, i wanna drag it through the garden with potato, celery more onion of course, bacon, scallops some white fish....this dishmakes me cry.

    Mr. Jones. Looks Dang Tasty! You just had to do this video and I couldn’t watch it till I got to Salt Lake City. Sure would love a bowl of that.       Here in Maryland we absolutely love Blue Crabs! It is sweat and wonderful taste. If you do any Blue crab make sure you follow Russ on anything crab. You won't go wrong.

    Question, why would you go with chicken stock for a fish soup? I think using a fish stock would be a better choice. (Shrimp shells, lobster shells, crab shells + rib of celery, small onion, 1 carrot, parsley +1 Instant Pot + 1 freezer and a lot of jars = Fish Stock on demand). I also like the idea of chopping in at least some celery and onion, although your infusion idea is very, very interesting. Thank you! I get paid next week, so crab meat it shall be.

      As I said in the video, I was following his recipe. Recipes can be adapted to suit your own taste.

    Cheaper to buy the snow crab/king grab clusters in the frozen seafood. Me I'd use a pack of krab.
