Maryland Cream of Crab Soup. Simple recipe for THE BEST Cream of Crab Soup

- Maryland followers, the time is here. Cream of Crab Soup rules in the Mid-Atlantic and here is my version of this Chesapeake Classic.
Ingredients:
1lb Crab meat
1/2 Medium onion minced
1/2 Stick of butter
1 Tbsp Old Bay Spice
1/3 Cup flour
4 Cup of half and half or milk
Chopped Parsley
Shot of Dry Sherry (optional) - Навчання та стиль

Bought my daughter a dozen live jumbo crabs for her bday, took them home and spiced and steamed them. The ones she couldn't finish I froze and today I picked all the meat out, and am going to make your recipe today! Looks incredible Mike!

@@mikethestewburner5505 my favourite just now is Wildings near Trump Turnberry. Trio of fish on your plate with a buttery lobster sauce. Nice drive to it past Culzean Castle on the Ayrshire coast.

fresh crab or canned? Had some deli bluecrab soup and I gagged, local store west coast. Your recipe is basically like I use to make creamed soups, I haven't used sherry though, next time I will.
I use fresh but can sub with chilled pasteurized canned
How many people does 1 pound of soup feed?
Depends on the portion size. An 8oz portion will feed 2 people.
