OK. Hooty has had many important moments. He protected King and Luz at the end of Edge of the World from being crushed, he played his part in the plan to rescue Raine (and Kiki) at the Coven Day Parade, and he's protected the entire house many times. Being a comic relief character doesn't mean he's a background character. He's probably had more screen time than many (obviously not all) of the "main" cast. Hooty is a main character, and most owl house fans will say the same thing.
And while I agree that the show is very witch heavy, especially in the beginning of the show, they do give time to many demon characters later. Considering that the show was massively shortened, it's hard to legitimately claim that they intentionally ignored demon characters simply because they were demons. If the show had been allowed to run as long as Dana Terrace wanted, we would have gotten much more of other characters.
Not to mention that even though most of the named demon characters didn't have a lot of time, they're still important (i.e. Barkus, Amber [she is a biped demon], Salty). And we love these characters. Even Adrian is a demon witch hybrid.
We would have seen their stories if the show hadn't been canceled. You have to take into account that Disney folds to pressure from parents that think the TV is their kid's babysitter. The original premise of the show was going to be set in literal hell.
Maybe I'm just sick of people looking for offensive shit in absolutely everything they see, even when it isn't really there. I apologize if I'm misreading the situation, but I'm so damn tired of people out to defame every single piece of media in existence. This show means a lot to me, from helping me through mourning my dad's death, to meeting the person I'm spending the rest of my life with through a mutual love of the show. The owl house changed my life for the better, and I know there's hundreds of other people who would say the same thing. And the real people who are living better lives is more important than unintentional offensiveness for not having enough screen time.
