Thanks for analyzing this show! II needs more well put together videos like this to discuss it. Season 2 has a lot to unpack! Edit after finishing: I think Nickel is the biggest jerk (at least before S3) who the show consistently treats as a likeable character. It's satisfying to see him befriend Balloon in S3, because dang in S2 it kinda hurt to see him be so manipulative to his "alliance". His smile as he hugs balloon really feels genuine! S2 nickel would definitely never have hugged anyone. Nice to see him open up.
Yeah, Nickel hates on balloon for manipulation tactics from season 1, when he’s leaning more towards a manipulator himself (season 2, with him using suitcase as an asset to get in the numbers)

This video is great, but I have to disagree with the Baseball part. I think the problem is that you're looking at this in a third person lens and not Nickels. If you look at III 13 and the EXIT Interview (yes I will argue those are cannon) Nickel does think of Baseball as a friend, and so does everyone else. He regrets not listening to him, and this isn't like Suitcase, it takes Clover's therapy to get Nickel to regret doing what he did to Suitcase, but not for Baseball. They have a genuine connection and the only reason it doesn't show much in Season 2 is that Nickel created a toxic environment he trapped HIMSELF in (which he admits to in III 16). If you look at the scene you mentioned II2 10, he says he's a good leader because that's his way of trying to cheer Baseball up. Sorry for the rant just wanted to say that.
I had finished watching the Marshmallow video,and then noticed how toxic Nickel was. Then we have this video as an excuse to hate Nickel from hit series Inanimate Insanity
