For me, the difficult part is staying focused on what renovations a 20 year old car NEEDS, Vs all the toys that I could add. The necessities have to come first. thank you John and his lovely Ester.
Thanks John! Glad to see the bolt ons making progress! I can’t wait to get my ‘05 dropped 20mm, like you guys just did. Brakes will come eventually, feel confident with the Stop Tech as well! Thanks again for all the great info and tips!
Watching you fix these cars makes me want to rebuild CRX. That was like the car I loved but was too young and couldn't afford and buy the time I'm old that car is way too old but I would love to go back and rebuild one
I did my brakes the same exact way a few months ago, I love how the silver makes them look like a fresh new caliper versus trying to look “sporty” and the slotted rotors give a clean aggressive look👍🏼
Only thing I would have done differently is grind down the casting line on the front calipers before painting. Just a little touch to make them look much better 👍🏻
Hi, What tire would you recommend Thats budget friendly but also good/ decent enough for auto cross every now and then? Do you recommend to keep it staggered or square? Thanks
How did you guys refinish the brake calipers and hangers? Did you spray can it or powder coat? I ask bc I'm curious how durable powder coating would be and if you've done it? I have blue Advan's on mine and would like to put some color on my calipers and hangers (maybe cyan or red) but don't want it to look like a cheap spray can job (not suggesting yours does, it looks really nice and OEM+ as you said)...
We went with Skunk2 Pro C. I’m going to run them for a couple of weeks and then compare them to a set of Buddy Club Sport Spec. I’ll make a back to video once I play with them both.
@@LHTPerformance i am looking at coilovers but they don't list the pro-c on the skunk2 website only the pro-st And the pro-st are 1000$ but a can find some pro-c on some site but they are 1400$ wonder if they are old stock A really want the ohlin dfv but can't really afford the 2100$ need some wheel with the coilovers
I just picked up those OEM rims was told about the 225/255 option someone in the comments said he has the same setup with 25mm spacers and you also mentioned spacers do I need to run spacers for the 225/255 setup? Are the lugs you sell longer than the stock ones if so can you source shorter ones?
@@LHTPerformance John lol I want to know if I can run 225/255 set up on my stock CR rims like in the video. Do I need spacers if I run those? I want to go up a size but don’t want any problems. I’m an old man if it causes problems I’ll just go with stock 215/246.

Please explain to the audience that s2k needs high performance tire nor then 300 tread wear. Because the Chassis will over power regular tires. Every time i see a crashed s2k they have non performance tire or all seasons..
I'd love to redo my wheels, i have the same ones and my calipers. Problem is..its my only car. About that sign.. yeah..people have swam in it..thats why its there hahaha

The S 2000 is looking really good. Thanks for sharing my friend.😎😎😎
I will be getting my S2000 in a month. I will definitely send it to you to get a new top! Love your channel!

Just a little tip, the bottom of the Honda "H" Should always line up with the valve stem. Just for that extra little touch of authenticity :)
Looking good. I just lowered my S2000 last week.
Greetings from Illinois. I really like my new blue t shirt from LHT. Thanks for the license plate cover!
Thanks buddy. 👍🏻
In Europe you can stil order 44732-S2A-A60 from the dealership.
Great content. I really enjoy following along with this build!

The CRX has always been a car I love. I’ve built some many over the years but now they have dried up.
Fantastic! I needed to get the paint number!
damn 08 S looks nice, wish i can find one with same year and low miles...
Really loving the build!
I wish you would set up a franchise in the UK to give our S2K’s some love.. 👍🏻
I left the UK in 1993.
Coming along pretty nicely!

I know this was a while ago , but where wheels painted or powder coated ?
The car is coming along nicely, keep the videos coming :)
I just bought 4 new center caps myself for MY05 S2K £200 here in the UK from Hondas :o
Nice. The ones on eBay was $100 each plus shipping. I still think it’s the best wheel and color on the S2000.
Hi were the rims painted or powdercoated?
Looks fantastic and is coming along pretty 🔥☝️
Killer looking s2k .
Damnit, I’m in need of 4 Cr caps myself. And 4 wheels haha, CR parts are hard to come by nowadays
Thank you for the videos, very informative! Looks like I will be redoing my brakes this weekend. What type of grease do you recommend?
Clean 👍
Only thing I would have done differently is grind down the casting line on the front calipers before painting. Just a little touch to make them look much better 👍🏻
We’ve don’t that on a few customers cars. I’m personally not a big fan.
Why not go with Ohlins, KWV3’s or even Fortune Autos? They blow Skunk2 and BuddyClub out of the water.
Like most that lower their S2000, this isn’t a track car. Just a play car.
Love your channel and videos! What fender height do you shoot for? Do you use/recommend axle spacers on the rear? Thank you!
We typically drop 20-25mm. Axle spacers are buy time for worn out axles. It’s only something you install if needed.
Hi, What tire would you recommend Thats budget friendly but also good/ decent enough for auto cross every now and then? Do you recommend to keep it staggered or square? Thanks
I want them, and a clutch replacement...how much!!!
Looking great 👍 the wheels and the pup, what breed is she. ?
Mann whole video and didnt show installing the center caps? 😢😭 i always put the valve stem at the bottom of the center cap. If that makes sence
I forgot to film the rest and we had to push it aside and get back to customer cars.

Test test for a few weeks and make sure I’m happy and then I’ll share. Then we’ll all make an assessment together.
@@LHTPerformance What did you decide, Paint or powder coat? Same question for the wheels.
@@michaeldoyle5001 I ordered Oem CR caps and had the powder matched to that color. It’s in a later video in the Playlist.

I decided against spacers. I don’t want to roll fenders or deal with rubbing. I stick to oem 17” wheels with CR tire sizing.

John, what are the specs of the rear wheels? I’m hopeful to fit a 255 as well! Thanks! Love your s2k updates!
10mm wider than stock front and rear. I’ve used the combo many times. Great set up.

Yes. We found some steel black lug nuts. I’m not a fan of neo chrome or aluminum nuts. These are close to OEM much less money.
