'Intrigue' is my personally curated attempt to redress the balance, and to perhaps introduce any 80's sceptics out there to the idea that conceptual thinking and ambition didn't suddenly evaporate after '77... ambitious, weird and thrilling music was all around you in the '80s - if you looked in the right places.
Featuring 58 tracks, the collection explores the creativity, experimentation and progressive spirit of alternative British music from 1979-1989. Artists include Wire, XTC, The Stranglers, Ultravox, The Durutti Column, Cocteau Twins, Kate Bush, Tears For Fears, and many more.
Released 10th February 2023.
Steven is spoiling us like crazy for last year, love it!
Hello! Steven Wilson saludos desde CDMX 🇲🇽 por cierto gran concierto. 👍🏽
I love this release, and the mastering is superb. More of these please! :)
Cardiacs!! Yeah!!!
You have no idea how happy this makes me!
Cool initiative, Mister Wilson!
Fantastic collection.
Finally started exploring Kate Bush's discography, solely because Steven often raves about her. He's right, again.
I heard some Thomas Dolby! Looking forward to that
"Airwaves" by Thomas Dolby is such an underrated song.
Neat, cant wait
Happy Birthday, mr Wilson!
Cool!
Ah, thanks for the heads up. Looking forward to it.
Just wow!! 🖤
Great stuff!
This is intriguing, in my opinion.
Feb 10 2023 seems so far away. 😀 Looks like a fantabulous collection. Can't wait!!!!!❤

He knows his onions
Yes Mr. Wilson
I would like to hear this!

This catalogue of New Wave, Post Punk and sort sounds and looks great.
Any news of Storm Corrosion reissue?
I need this special edition (4 CD + 7 LP)
Qué sería de mi vida sin la banda sonora de SW?
Would you include information about the dynamic range and how much limiting/ compression used on the CD version?
I liked the artwork references he made. He mentioned about being pleased about Kate Bush agreeing. I wonder which artists refused?
Glad that Joy Division is included. I would've chosen Dead Souls - although the The Eternal is a great choice.
The other 2 bands that I would've liked to have seen on there would be - say; any track off 'Fear of Music'; a masterpiece by TH. & - of course, something by The Smiths.
I'll be 60 on the 11th. Now I know what I want for my birthday.
I see No-Man on that list
Steven Wilson interprets Steven Wilson
i mean ... this is the worst time in history for compilations, but i respect the fact that you are going to do it anyway
Anyone have a list of the tracks used in order for the trailer??
Cocteau twins - Donimo
Gang of Four - Contract
Wire - I should have known better
Bill Nelson's Red Noise - A Better Home in the Phantom Zone
A Certain Ratio - Knife Slits Water

Is there anything this man doesn’t do?
Voyager?
Now I just sit in the corner complaining making out things were best in the 80s
